  CHRISTAL's POV

After i was given permission to stay for another week in the hospital room. Gina told me a lot of things concerning the past, how she met Yasha and how the curse started to spiral out of control. Thankfully no one visited me after Charles' appearance, making me able to. talk to Gina more freely than usual.

After she finishes the whole story, i rolled my eyes.

"So basically this shitty curse started because of you and Alpha King Yasha?"

'Hmph! I just told you, it's the Moon Goddess who cursed us. That's why i keep waking up from another body after my hosts dies.'

It's a shitty curse alright, but there is something wrong about it.

I frowned, my thoughts rummaged all over the place when i realized that Gina was obviously suffering more than Yasha. In every cycle, her host always gets killed by their mate. A memory flashed inside my mind when i remembered the number of white wolves trapped inside Gina's soul, every one of them was telling me the unfortunate fate of mine.

The unending curse of the Moon Goddess.

  I laughed.

"It's ridiculous no matter how much i think about the spoken curse, the moon goddess clearly directed the curse to Yasha. She said 'I CALL UPON THE GODS CREATIONS FOR THE SUFFERING OF THE DEFECTIVE BEAST.', so why the hell are we the one getting killed?" I muttered in annoyance. "So shouldn't Yasha's descendants suffer more than us?"

'Hello? I'm also involved you know she said.'UNTIL MY DAUGHTER UNDERSTANDS HER OWN SELFISHNESS, ONLY WHEN THIS CURSE SHALL BE LIFTED' Gina mimics the goddess's voice.

I facepalmed myself after hearing her childish remark.

Well i don't really fully understand the curse about Yasha's suffering, but i do get how the moon goddess stated that Gina was the key to end the curse.

"You've lived so long, i can't believe you remained this childish. I think Yasha isn't the defective beast but you are."

'How rude! yasha and i might have similar situations, but i'm not that strong to even kill gods you know.' Gina spouts.

"You don't know that. You were never permitted outside right? even in death, you were quickly sealed in a person's body. Who knows what's the extent of your abilities?" I said, acknowledging her.

'No, i definitely can't kill the gods, it's one of the heavenly rules. I'm part god after all.' She clarifies. 'I don't understand much about defective beasts other than they're related to the demon's lineage, but i can be sure that Yasha isn't one. Yasha is created by nature, he was born asexually after all.'

Wow, Alpha King Yasha really wasn't a normal werewolf. But what's more interesting about it is the demon's lineage, It's definitely connected to Herus and Charles's bloodline.

"Does it have anything to do with Charles?"

'it's a major possibility. For a vampire, Charles surpasses most of his own kind. Not only that, he definitely died right? his rebirth must've been a demon's doing.'

I sighed, recalling the painful memories.

'I don't think we even have to guess anymore, he's definitely the most suspicious one. He was even able to seal Zyrus' memories, which is supposed to be impossible.' Gina adds fuel to my thoughts.

"You don't have to persuade me, i also think he's suspicious."

'Hmph, you say that but you always hesitate when it comes to that child.' She scoffs.

"You're the child, everybody has their own sick past that made them who they are," I argued back.

'See! i knew you'll defend that demon again!'

"I'm not, i'm just taking a neutral stand. Zyrus has his own faults too,if he didn't have Yasha's soul, then all this shit wouldn't have happened to him."

She laughs. 'What are you talking about? Even without Yasha's soul, Zyrus is still likely to have a lot of enemies. After all, he's the second werewolf born that had similar abilities to Yasha. So it's really not Yasha who's making him stronger.'

"What? that can't be," I shot back.

'A nature's purpose doesn't have a pattern, he's probably chosen to continue Yasha's duties. Although i'm not sure if he is able to kill the gods like Yasha can.' She doubts.

My eyes widen. "So he hasn't awakened Yasha's soul?"

'He did once.' She sighs. 'It was the moment his parents got killed, the dark witch contract triggered Yasha's soul, though i'm not sure why.'

"Really? how can you be sure he isn't awakened right now?"

'If he was, he would've killed you instantly, you have a god's scent after all.' Gina says blatantly

  I gulped.

"Then why is Yasha's soul sleeping again?" i said, finally believing her words.

'He was forced back to slumber by the White witches.' She said, feeling her angry emotions spiraling at the thought. 'I didn't even have the chance to call him, the witches quickly noticed him as if they were watching us the whole time.'

"Whattttt, so the real purpose of sealing Zyrus's name was to actually seal a soul? So that's it, now i get why they had to go through such lengths for a werewolf." I nodded to myself.

Of course, the white witches didn't want anyone to know about Yasha's true existence in the real world, they even got so far to kill me to end another destined cycle.

Ugh, no matter how much i think about it. Zyrus and I are just victims involved in the curse, it's not even our problem to solve but we had to endure the finger they pointed at us, cursing us with all their might.

Right from the start, we were already destined to lose everything when we were born. The predestined path laughing at us with mockery as we hold the demi-god and Alpha King's souls. Such fate is ridiculous for someone who only wished to live a normal life. The countless of lives that were sacrificed to help these two souls to cross paths is unimaginably pitiful.

My thoughts kept wandering far ahead, as i looked outside the window.

  It would be dawn soon.

For some unknown reason, when my vision lands on both of my hands, i noticed it trembling. The fear slowly creeping its way into my every being as i thought of the cruel destiny that i had to walk on.

"I'll die by Zyrus hands, that's it right?" I barely managed to say.

I bit my lip in anger, tasting the blood coming out from it. I felt an overwhelming amount of emotions inside of me, already thinking about the future outcome, it was certainly a painful path.

'Don't worry, i told you. We'll find a way to stop the curse together, this is my last chance to transfer from a body after all.' Gina tries to cheer me up.

"Just how are you planning to do it? You don't even understand your selfishness." I said, remembering the goddess's words. "How could you say such reassuring stuff?"

I've always thought i could find a way to be with Zyrus, but hearing the whole curse thing. It looks like, there are more mountains i have to cross to reach my mate. Even when i reach him, he's destined to awaken Yasha's soul and kill me.

"Why did the previous white wolves die? Yasha never awakened right?"

'It's related to the disappearance of their werewolf presence after awakening my powers, the mate bond also disappears along with it' She sadly says. 'I can't do anything about it, i have to awaken my powers to protect my host from any danger.'

  I rolled my eyes.

she says that yet every single one of them still died.

  CHARLES's POV

"H-How dare a demon like you enter the heavenly gates!" The great White witch hands trembled in sight.

I smiled, my eyes darkening as i felt my skin continuously burned in hellfire. The demonic wings that weighed more than my weight, hangs on my back horrifyingly. Even after exposing my true form coincidentally, i welcomed it.

I was a demon's vessel, after all, it was natural for me to be a demon too.

I laughed hysterically, the darkness looming inside of me. "Even the gates permitted my entrance, this just only means how filthy and distorted the system had become."

In just a minute, the witches started to gather around me, their eyes filled with fear. The Great white witch ordered them to attack me, yet none of them budged.

  I smirked.

"What are you all doing?! i said attack that demon! we cannot let him scatter his filth in the heavenly realm!"

Still, they refused to step forward, fearing the demonic aura surrounding me that could easily kill them in one strike.

"Shut up old hag," I said with venom. "I still haven't punished you after almost killing her, how dare you break your end of a bargain?!"

These goddamned white witches made a deal with me in the past. They tried killing me when they discovered my existence, only to horribly fail. In the end, they were forced to make a deal with me. I was to let them go, in return that they will protect Christal from any harm before i meet her again.

If it wasn't for the Demi-god's soul within her, she would've died!
