"Irrelevant? That's what you think about Herus? Even if he was a jerk, i knew that he was the kind of jerk that still cared for his own brother."
I couldn't believe it, while looking at his eyes, i couldn't help but shiver. Not even a pint of emotion he showed when i brought his brother up, even after knowing his death.
He looked empty.
But after a while of silence, he places his hand on his mouth, he was unexpectedly holding out his laughter. My forehead knits in anger, suddenly remembering Herus while looking at his face.
"Is this funny?!" I shouted, irritated.
"I'm sorry." He wipes his eyes from laughing to much. "What you said was really just too funny."
I looked at him, my expression filled with disbelief. "Why are you being like this?"
"What do you mean?" He says, ignoring such an obvious fact by crossing his arms. "Don't you think it was natural for me to be like this Christal?"
"What?"
"Have you ever been to hell?" He asks, a drop of sorrow from his words. "If you did, you would understand me."
I shifted my gaze, turning my head away from him. I couldn't stomach remembering the events that happened again, even though i was partly at fault. In the past i tried receiving any pain that i could hold on to pay off my debt, but everything is really just too much for me.
Rather than living in horror everyday, i finally decided to walk past all of it.
For my mate.
"You're right, i won't ever understand nor i have a right to judge you." I sobbed, my voice cracking up. "But please, I want to ask you to leave everything behind so we can all be happy. if you just decide to find your own happiness, we can end all of this."
I don't know what exacty he is planning, but i'm sure he has evil intentions towards Zyrus. I don't want to be placed in a position to choose between them, it's horrifying just thinking about it.
His eyes remained empty.
"Happiness?" he looks at me confused.
I nodded.
"The last time i felt happy." He trailed off, raising his hand for him to observe. "Was being with you at the field of Dandelions."
My eyes widened, a deep emotion swelling up from within me. "Charles.."
I felt my tears dropping unconsciously.
"I don't understand what you said, i'm currently finding my own happiness.. right?" His voice was soft. "So why, why would you want me to leave my happiness?"
"C-Charles you know i can't." I sobbed harder. "I have a mate, you know that."
"You agreed to marry me." He frowns.
"That wasn't counted! you controlled me at that time!"
"So?" He seriously says. "Are you gonna break your promise again?"
I couldn't speak all of sudden, feeling a large object stuck on my throat. Even though he was looking at me without a pint of emotion, i was still overwhelmed at the fact that he was also a product of my past mistakes. I realized that when i told him to find his own happiness, it was like i was throwing away something i had broken before.
It hurts me to think that he was depending on me for his own happiness when i obviously can't reciprocate his feelings anymore.
My tears wouldn't stop.
i couldn't look at him.
Nor even stare back at him.
The only thing that i managed to blurt out was. "Leave." i said, barely a whisper. "Please, don't make it harder for both of us."
Please leave, i beg you.
"Do you think this is the first time you drove me away?"
"LEAVE! I DON'T WANT TO TALK TO YOU ANYMORE!" I sobbed, shouting at him.
"I know you're not the type to keep promises." He smiles. "So don't worry, i'll keep it for you."
I looked at him, my face filled with disbelief. "Charles, your brother is already dead, can we just stop all this predicament around us? i know i've made mistakes, so letting each other go is what's best for both of us-"
"Best for us?" He laughs. "Or best for you?"
"Charles!"
"What? you don't like me talking back right? then i'm sorry." He said, his feelings hurt.
He turns his back. A sense of sorrow lingered around his body as he went towards the door. Not looking back, he opens it. Before he closes the door he said while looking at me. "I know forcing you to stay beside me would not work, so i'll wait until you find me again."
He spoke with such confidence that it made me shiver in fear. He closes the door behind him, not giving me a chance to reply back.
i hugged my knees, the curse of the Moon goddess repeating on my head for the thousandth times. Constantly telling me that everything is going as planned in her wishes. I couldn't help but shiver at the memory of everything that happened until now.
Will the curse really end with me?
I doubt it.
'Christal, you have to believe in yourself for it to happen.' Gina scolds.
[How? how are you able to put so much faith in me? I'm trash. I can't even protect anyone, not in the past and not right now.]
'You're an unpolished gem, there's so much more to you, than this type of person you're talking about.'
I sobbed again, my heart-wrenching in pain.
[I told myself i wouldn't give up for him, but as things stand will he really love me despite my demi-god presence? Even if he did remember everything. Can we really stop this unending curse?]
Holding my head in frustration, i frowned when it became too overwhelming.
'Christal, i know you're anxious, but everyone makes mistakes. You should also remember that you can't always save everyone, Some people are gonna destroy themselves no matter how much you help them.'
Hearing her words, i felt a sorrowful emotion from it, as if it was something she experienced for herself.
I was suddenly curious about her past, remembering the times when she was always eager and desperate to meet yasha again.
[Gina, can you tell me what happened to you? when did this curse start?]
'What's this? you're suddenly interested in my story?' she says, amused.
[i don't really know, maybe it's because i'm really out of options of what to do anymore. Since that damned curse started all of this, then i should really start paying attention more to it.]
'Well then, pay attention to what i'll tell you.' She starts. I will only tell you this once."

(Author's POV)
The story of the love between the Demi-God Givea and Alpha King Yasha dates back to the very start of the times, their string of fate still intact. Givea, who was known to be the very first Demi-God who lived in the spiritual world, wandered around everywhere, as she felt lonely all by herself in such a vast place provided by the Mood Goddess. For the gods and goddesses didn't acknowledge her half-blood that was within her, no one knew why she was born, so they were reluctant to let her reside where the gods and goddesses lived in.
Givea continued in her lonely journey in touring around the empty forest, the only thing that held her back was the beautiful scenery around her, the smell of the forest, and the cold breeze air grazes by her skin.
But the most favorite thing she loved to do was look at the sky; for she has always known someone was looking after her. She had never met her own mother, nor questioned it since she grew up without anyone's presence. The reason why Givea knew of the Moon's goddess's existence was that she saw her own mother's action as love.
A love so far away, yet so close.
Every time she was hurt, the moon goddess would heal her.
Whenever she asked for something, her mother would provide it instantly.
But when she requested to see the Moon Goddess, she was replied back with silence. Even when she would repeat it, shouting with all her might towards the sky, the moon goddess refused to answer her.
She was in a very vast beautiful place, the scenery always took her breath away, yet she felt lonely. She was all alone after all, a child in a very big place without anyone to talk to, or even play with was devastating. Despite not knowing of anyone's existence other than hers, she had this sort of belief that she wasn't alone.
Going around the forest every day became her habit as if she was waiting for something to pop up, just like her existence.
The sky darkens, heavy rain pouring in the forest for the first time in years, a sharp, loud thunder cracked all around her. Lifting her arms up, she smiles when she felt the warm rain pouring onto her.
{"What is this tiny droplets?"} She giggles.
She dances in the rain, spiraling her body all around the place. She gasps when she stumbles upon something, making her fall.
In her surprise, she saw a young man lying down in front of her unconscious.
