"Don't make me repeat myself."
I diverted my gaze, feeling nervous that i guessed what he was planning to do about Alpha Damien, my sweat drips excessively. I gulped and squinted my eyes, forcing myself to smile. "He's on the same floor, the farthest to the right."
'Another pile of work is in it for me, Crescentine won't stop bothering us if he kills him' i sadly thought to myself.
Despair lingering around my mind as i followed the Alpha King towards the room of Alpha Damien. When we arrived, he was still out cold, the nurse cleaning his body by wiping him up.
'Thank god he didn't kick the door again, that would've been another work for me to do' I thought, looking at how he opened the door politely
"Tch"
"Alpha King? he's still unconscious, let's talk to him after he regains-"
"Why?"
"..?" My head tilts in confusion, my head rumbling with questions as to why he SAID WHY?! Just what kind of response was that!!
He ignores my reaction, continuing his walk towards his bed. My eyes almost drops when he lifted his right leg and drops it forcefully towards his wound, Alpha Damien was forced awake by the attack.
He screams in pain, the bed's legs breaking into pieces.
'ALPHA NOOOOO!!!!' i thought in despair once i saw Alpha Damien coughing in blood.
"Motherfu-" Alpha Damien was cut off in his sentence when he saw the angry alphaKing beside him, he moves back in reflex. "Brother Zyrus?! DId you just-"
"What about it." AlphaKing says in menace, his eyes still dark.
He coughs up blood, his wound was thankfully regenerating even from that blow. "this is how you greet a patient?"
"It's because you won't answer me." AlphaKIng says calmy.
My jaw still intact on the floor, i almost blurted out that he never tried to talk to Alpha Damien to wake him up, he just used brutal force to force him up yet i couldn't say as i also wanted to live.
"Really? i was that out cold?" Alpha Damien says in disbelief before looking at his wound. "Well it finally looks like i'm healing enough."
"What are you doing here kid? Do you know what trouble you just caused?" Alpha King says, irritated.
"What trouble? i asked permission from Delta, so it's not trouble aye? i even gave them money- OW!" He shrieks in pain when AlphaKing Zyrus smacks his head. "What's with you dude?! are you trying to kill me?!"
Yes he is.
"I asked you, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE." AlphaKing threatens in a low voice.
Alpha Damien raises his hand in surrender. "I-I just wanted to get back at that girl from throwing me in the dumpsters." (See chapter 6)
"What?" We both says in sync, hint of disbelief in our tone.
"When did you meet?"
"I don't remember, i just remember that i approached her because she had the same face as Athena, it was probably before when i was a rogue." he sighs. "When i saw her profile being released i couldn't stop myself from taking revenge, I knew that she was that girl who kicked my ass.." He says his pitch slowing down.
Unexpectedly AlphaKing Zyrus started laughing.
"..?!" Both me and Alpha Damien looks at him in confusion.
"So she kicked your ass huh? Such a loser." AlphaKing surprisingly teases.
"W-What?!" Alpha Damien exclaimed. "It's because i let my guard down! I thought she was a human!"
"You still lost."
Alpha Damien gritted his teeth in frustration. "I'm your disciple! you should side with me Brother Zyrus!"
"Tch stop acting like a kid, you're already an Alpha." He replies sternly. "You don't need to make excuses, after all you lost to her this time too."
Yeah, a young Alpha.
"No way! it's because she cheated! She used some kind of drug to weaken me!"
We both looked at him with eyes filled with disbelief, not even giving his statement a second thought. AlphaKing Zyrus then crosses his arm, a bit annoyed that his student kept arguing with him.
"Do you really have to be this petty?"
"What?? It's the truth! That bitch drugged me, my wound wasn't healing because of that drug. You gotta believe me." He shot back.
"Fine." He says, before looking at the nurse. "Heard that? give me results after an hour."
She nodded, immediately giving him a blood transfusion. She bows before leaving the room. The AlphaKing looks at him once again, inspecting his wound, he smirks.
"You're healing fast now huh."
"I don't get it either, must be because i'm too strong even for that drug." Alpha Damien says in an arrogant tone.
"Oh?" AlphaKing smiles evilly. "Then shall i see how strong your body is right now?"
My eyes widened, feeling bloodlust oozing out from him. Alpha Damien must've felt it too since he backs away immediately, almost falling beside the bed. He squeals in fear. "Bro? why are you looking at me like that?"
"You have to be punished."
"What?! No!! i already told you i got permission-"
I stopped alpha Damien from further speaking, my hand covering his mouth, i shook my head towards him. Signaling him to shut his mouth, as to not aggravate the alpha king further than he already is.
"Jaxon, go back to Christal, guard her for me for the meantime," he orders me, his eyes filled with demonic aura.
I gulped in nervousness as i slowly dropped my hand on Alpha Damien, praying for his safety, i bowed in compliance towards AlphaKing's orders.
I avoided my gaze from Alpha Damien.
'Help me!!' Alpha Damien's eyes says.
I'm sorry, but i'm too young to die yet.
Not hesitating any further, i made my way out, slowly closing the door behind me.
"ARGHHHHHHHH!!!!! STOOPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Alpha Damien's voice lingers around the hall.
I shivered in fear, hearing the continuous ruckus noises inside the room. I could vividly imagine just how the Alpha King is torturing the poor young alpha of Crescentine pack. I almost jump in shock when i heard a loud explosion inside the room.
'What the hell?!' I thought yet i shook my head. 'No focus, lets just do AlphaKing's Zyrus orders."
Finally able to let go of the situation, i made my way towards the she-wolf's room. The staff looking at Alpha Damien's room worriedly, their eyes filled with horror as the ruckus still hasn't stopped.
Well that'll probably go on for a while.
As i arrived the room, my eyes landed on her. She was sleeping soundly even when Alpha Damien's voice reached her room, her wounds also looked like better than before.
I made my way quietly on the chair and sat, crossing my arms
'I pity the young Alpha, he's suffering just because AlphaKing Zyrus was being petty.' I thought
I looked at her.
'Just what are you to him? AlphaKing is engaged to the silverfang wolf so i don't get why he is being so affectionate towards this she-wolf.'
After an hour has passed, the noise coming from Alpha Damien's room finally subsided, filling the room with silence. Yet even after another hour has passed, the AlphaKing was yet to return here, making me guard her longer than i anticipated. Seeing that dawn has already come, i ushered the nurse from the hall to prepare her meal in case she wakes up. Returning to my chair, i flinched when i saw her flip her body to the other side
Still soundly sleeping.
My head turns towards the door when i smelled a familiar scent.
"Hi." Syrena comes in, closing the door behind her. "So she still hasn't woken up?"
I stood up. "Yeah she's still out."
We both approached her bed.
"AlphaKing told me that her health degraded because of a drug, but the results just came out. There was no such thing." She says in confused. "here."
She gives me the results.
Carefully inspecting it, i realized that her numbers were normal. "You're right, there's no foreign substance found."
She shook her head. "Alpha Damien insisted that he was drugged even after being beaten by AlphaKing."
"Oh you heard that?"
"Yeah, it really wasn't pleasant, people from Crescentine couldn't even come to the room because of our Alpha." She sighs.
"Alpha Damien insisted that he was drugged by her, but her regenerative ability also didn't work during the duel, so that just means both of them has been drugged right?"
She nods. "I do believe that it was some kind of harmless drug with few side effects, though i can't determine the drug for sure."
"You even can't?"
"I can't since the drug isn't found anywhere in their body anymore. I could only guess some names to it. Well since it's a harmless drug, i doubt we need to be concerned about it."
I crossed my arms, thinking about the duel.
"Hey." I trailed off. "I think i saw Alpha Damien gripping his insides for no reason, then he attacked her with the same hand?"
Her eyes widened.
