I entered the back alley, heightening my senses to detect Syrena.
'Where are you Witch, i need that damned potion!' i thought anxiously.
My heart felt at ease when i spotted her presence inside the Delta headquarters.
Narrowing my powers directed to her spot, it was the only method i could think of since going inside would be troublesome if they found a demi-god roaming around their territory. I could only wait for her response right here, risking the reason that she could've shrugged my power off.
But knowing her, she would probably recognize my own power.
As i waited for her, sitting beside a tree, i heard a noise nearby.
2 werewolves.
"It was really not for me, she's too quirky." He laughs to the guy beside him.
"But she's damn hot, you're so picky." the guys replies.
"Well i don't really have time to think about women, i have to graduate from this damned place. I've been here for 6 years already." He groans.
"Hey you know that 5th level guy that the red blood moon hid right?"
My eyes turned in their direction, hiding above the branches of the trees. her eyebrow furrowed. 'Are they talking about me?'
"Yeah, i even heard from my pack that our Alpha sent a complaint about it. I mean it's unfair to hide the identity of a special examiner, the AlphaKing surely does anything he wants."
He smirks. "This morning, the Delta board released the profile of that guy, and you know who he is?"
'What?' i said in confused, knowing that it just happened earlier in the morning. i don't get it, so what if my profile gets released? why is it such a big deal?
His eyes widened. "Why didn't i hear about that?"
"Well not everybody saw it yet since it was not an official announcement, they just posted her profile on the board."
"Wait- did you just say HER?!" He gasps. "It was a female?! the special examiner?!"
He nods. "Exactly my reaction a while ago, what's worse is she's incredibly hot! those graduates would probably hunt her down 24/7 now." As the two guys finally leave the perimeter, i jumped down from the tree. I immediately sense Syrena's presence going nearer.
My eyes widened, 'Hunt me down? why would they hunt me before the monthly trials?'
"Luna!" Syrena shockingly shouts. "I knew it was you."
I shook my head. "No time for talking, you have to give me one of those Werewolf potions, the one that i took weeks ago already worn down."
Her eyes widen. "What? it shouldn't have worn down, it needs an antidote to do so."
"Then could you explain how Zyrus was able to detect my demi-god presence?" I said, irked.
"Oh my." She gasps, looking around my body for injuries.
"I'm fine." i rolled my eyes.
"He's more tolerant than i thought." She laughs. "So what happened? There's just no way that the effects of the potion would wear down."
"Well i got soaked in the rain for too long.. and i had a sudden fever." i admit, feeling guilty. "And Gina told me that having a fever really weakens my power."
She nods. "i get it now, you've been cleansed. It's part of a demi-god's body system whenever it feels foreign invaders inside the body."
She waves her wand, a potion appearing.
I quickly grab it, drinking it without hesitation.
"Slow down." She sighs. "Do you even know what happened this morning? the delta board posted your profile."
"I know." I threw the bottle in her hands. "What's the big deal?"
She face-palmed herself. "I get that you're very carefree, but the reason why Special examiner tests are horrifying is due to the fact that even before the monthly trials begins, they're hunted like rabbits by the participants. And already been a rule for decades in Delta."
I raised an eyebrow, "Before the monthly trials? that beta did tell me i would be hunted down, but i thought it would be after the trials."
"That's why i told you to retreat that offer that time. " She sighs. "The reason why they posted your profile must be because of the AlphaKing, just what happened yesterday? He's been on edge ever since he came back."
I gulped, that was my fault.
"Hah.. nothing really happened," I said, wrapping my arm on my neck. "He just tried to kill me that's all."
She looks at me with pity.
