I touched the mirror as i observed my eyes reflecting on the mirror.
Is it because i was using magic? No. I mean i've been using magic for the last two years.
Then again, the noise repeats as if it called me. "I have a bad feeling about this." I sighed. I pick up my phone and tried dialling my brothers but unfortunately they were not answering.
"The hell? Why are they sleeping so hard?" I groaned in annoyance, i shrugged the thought of going together with them since i was pretty confident in my skills.
I ran towards the window and jumped, softly landing on the ground. I didn't hesitate for a second when i started running towards the forest while i tried to hide my presence, climbing on the trees and jumping towards the approaching cause of the noise.
"This smell." My eyes furrowed. "Werewolf."
"Athena." A voice behind me.
I looked behind me to see the Keith guy looking at me suspiciously, i returned the look he was giving me and i started to glare at him, alarming him that i wasn't too happy that he lured me here.
"What's this? A past lover can't get over me?"
"Are you really Athena?" He asks, ignoring my remarks.
I rolled my eyes. "You have eyes right? Why bother asking."
"But you're not her."
I raised an eyebrow. "What? Are you telling me i'm not 'Athena?'" I chuckled.
The Forest that surrounded us was dark, humid and silent not a single living thing detected, the moon shone right above us. I don't know why.. but i couldn't get angry with this guy. As if i don't have the right to be angry with him.
"Who are you?"
I glared at him. "I'm Athena." I bit the bottom of my lip in annoyance, it was the only name i got, what else would i be telling him right now?
"No you're not." He says, as trying to force me to submit to his suspicion.
"Then who the fuck am i?"
His eyes widens but he didn't say a word.
"Tell me! Who? WHO?! I don't know too!" I said suddenly feeling the pressure of what he was trying to say, as i was guilty to his accusations. My knees wobbled as i felt my eyes shift color again. "I-I don't know, i feel like i'm living in a different world." I said, looking at my hands.
"Your eyes." He said shocked, the moonlight reflecting the color of my eyes right now. "It's bloodyRed."
"So what?!" I said standing up. "I don't know who the fuck are you! If you have something to say do it now."
"You're nor human are you? And you're also not Athena that i know. But i'm sure you are someone i know." He steps a little closer, kneeling to level our eyes. "Tell me, what happened two years ago?"
My eyes widened.
"W-What?"
"Two years ago, who were you?" He said one again.
I gulped. Who am i? Why can't i remember what happened two years ago? I clenched my jaw hard. "I don't remember."
He blinks a few times as if he already knew the answer just by what i said. He got up and looked at me in worry. "How did this happen?"
The reason why i'm telling him everything is because of the look he gave me when he asked me those questions, i felt like he knew who i was and it bothered me to the point that i also started questioning my own identity.
But isn't that what i was also thinking? Wasn't i always doubting this identity?
"By any chance.. do you know who i am?"
"Certainly i do, but i'm just confused why you're human."
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"The reason why Athena disappeared from the human society is because she fell inlove with a PureBlood."
My eyes widened in shock. "Pureblood? This is the first time i'm hearing news concerning purebloods. And how the hell did she even manage to find one? I mean me?"
So he's saying i fell inlove with a Vampire and ran away?
He shook his head. "I'm sure you're not Athena." He says as he clenched his teeth. "She didn't find him.. she was caught."
Caught?
"I tried saving her but she refused, she told me she would stay forever with that PureBlood." He says closing his eyes, trying to forget the memory.
"Then how can you be sure i'm not her?"
He looks at me, his next words baffled me. "That day when i tried to rescue her, she was already a vampire."
"H-How can you tell?"
"Her eyes were bloodyRed, pale skin and cold as ice, when i realised that i thought that she was no different from a dead person." He says a hint of sadness and strain from his voice.
"You are certainly the person i know In the past, this personality of yours.. very similar to the woman i helped last time."
I stayed silent, scared of the words that was spilling out from him.
"But that's impossible because she's not human."
What was he trying to say? The thing is, both of us are trying to find answers by throwing hints to one another but i recently found out that there was no answer that can be found.. since i can't remember anything.
"Then this person that you know.. what is she?"
He looks at me carefully and he smiled. "She's a werewolf."
"I'm not a werewolf, then you don't know me at all?"
He sighs. "As i told you, you are closely similar with her."
"Fuck you! Then you're telling me i'm really not Athena? Is that it?!"
"YES! You're not! Wake up! Do you think you really are her? Do you even have the slightest familiarity with her life?"
I gasped, his words striking me through.
"Stop it." I said, lowering my head as i clutched my fist and i hold back the anger that was building up. "If you don't know me, there's no reason for you to interfere with my life!" I said and gripped his neck in an instant.
His eyes widened in shock, as if he didn't see my body accelerating towards him with insane speed. He gripped my hand, trying to loosen up my grip but i was a lot stronger than him.
"You.. are the reason why my family is heavily sleeping right? Luring me here for what!" I said and tightened it more, he groans in pain.
He drugged them.. but how?
"Y-You are certainly Christal!" He smirks.
I let go of his neck, he falls down and catches his breath as he pants heavily.
I took my gun out and pointed it at his head. "What's your purpose? Speak if you don't want a bullet in your head."
"When's your next hunt?"
I raised an eyebrow. "I'm not obliged to tell you."
"I'll tell you where that PureBlood lives but in return you must rescue Athena, bring her back, she's doesn't belong to that kind of place." He says with Hatred, a hint of guilt laced at his words.
I chuckled. "You don't have the right to request that! I'M ATHENA!" I glared at him, i threw my gun away and kicked him in the gut. He lays groaning on the ground and i grabbed his face to look at me. "You really are getting on my nerves." I said.
He laughs. "Shit you still have that insane strength of yours."
This crazy guy!
"You really want to die?"
"You also wanna know who you are right? If you do this, we can both benefit from it." He said.
"I don't trust you, you might be leading me to a trap. Or maybe you want me to go back there to die." I said with venom.
"You really think you're Athena?"
"I AM ATHENA!"
"You know it yourself don't you? You're not her But you're probably trying to deny it."
My eyes widened. "And why would i?"
"Because you don't remember who you really are." He said. "Do it if you wanna know who you are, see the real Athena by yourself."
R-Real?
I felt my vision getting darker. Using my magic, i summoned my gun once again and didn't hesitate to shoot him in the shoulder, my eyes didn't leave any emotion but resentment to the unknown man who made me doubt my own identity.
"Shit! You really shot me!" He said holding his wound to stop the blood. "Damn it."
I pointed it towards his head.
He looked at me with no fear at all, not leaving my sight as he looked directly at my eyes, convincing him that all he said was true.
That the past two years, my own doubts answered his questions.
