It was time.
It was before sunset that i woke up and headed towards the training grounds, as far as i remember it's just behind the pack House. The feeling of turning back consumed me each step i took.
it's not because i'm scared of what will happen to me right now.
But the thing that scares me is that i've joined this war. I never had a good experience in fighting, all was bad memories so i intend to not use violence especially with innocent werewolves.
But can i really do that?
"Christal!"
I spun my head towards and saw Carly waving towards me, Herus tailing behind her. The hell is that dude doing here?
"You." I pointed towards her back, she turned back and looked again my way.
She smiled. "Alpha Herus has always been here several time more than you do."
"Why you calling that douchebag Alpha? He isn't an Alpha yet!" I shushed my bestfriend carly, but i do know he hears us.
"So what? He's still alpha blood." She laughs.
"No i won't call him that."
"I'm not forcing you." She said. "But i hope you two can get along."
"What?"
Herus suddenly slips his body between us so he would be inside the conversation, smirking towards my direction i frowned disgustingly at him. "We get along just fine! Right Chrissy?"
"Ew don't call me that." I rolled my eyes.
"Christa??"
"Don't even start with me." I glared at him.
He laughs.
"Whatever." I sighed. "Wait a minute, where's all the people around here? I thought i was late." I said shocked when i saw the training grounds empty as a haunted house.
"This isn't training grounds Christal." Carly chuckles. "Just recently i discovered we had this kind of facility underground-"
"Underground?" I cut in. "I don't know about that."
"But you do know the real history that happened right?"
Herus stay silent.
"Yeah, so you're saying we had this way before? And i don't know anything about it? This is ridiculous." I shot back.
Three pf us both faced the ghost training grounds where not even one werewolf was training in this time of sunset. I began to doubt what teybwere saying and got caught thinking this might be another trap.
Just like that night.
What the fuck is this?!"
I felt the restraints of my body when i tried to move towards my mate. I looked ahead and saw numerous werewolves now standing just by stone, including the Dark witch that was currently restraining me using dark magic.
No.
Don't even try to remember that Chrital, damn it.
I took deep breaths.
I expected Carly pushing me, yet i didn't stop it. I let her push me into the training grounds that was empty before and now.. hundreds of werewolves blurred my vision. I looked behind me, carly and Herus was also there.
So there was a teleportation barrier.
"What the fuck." I unbelievable whispered as i examined the overwhelming place that i entered.
It was like a deep canal with a sky opening, the structures of the place focused on circles rocks or circular formation on each level of floor.
I stared at it in awe.
"Let's go." Carly pats me on the back as she guides us through the place.
They were staring at me?
Herus growls, suddenly making them stop staring at me and going back on their own businesses. I sighed. Whatever, i'm just thankful he got rid of those eyes that stared at me, it's really not a welcoming feeling damn.
Going through this place was a long journey, i never thought something like this has always been here. It's even bigger than the pack house. Soon i realized that compared to the werewolf population i knew of, this was unbelievable, there was around 10 thousand werewolf in this place.
"You knew this?" I looked at herus.
"Yeah."
I slightly nodded, still disturbed that i missed such a big place all these years.
It didn't take us long before we reached where my brother was currently staying. The door opened and my brother and his warriors were present, even some of them unfamiliar to me.
So the warriors that i defeated yesterday wasn't all?
"Sit down." Jason pats the sit beside him.
I rolled my eyes but obeyed, staring back at the men that glared at me with the same intensity.
I know that look, They don't trust me.
And for once who knew they were smart enough to know.
"So some of you might not have been here when my sister, Christal won in the duel yesterday. Now, i told her that her loyalty is still questionable."
I snorted.
What now? He wants me to defeat those remaining warriors?
Jason sighs but still continued. "You're all here not because we're gonna continue the duel." He says like he read my mind. "Today is the today you recognize your beta! She will lead the pack in the front lines!"
"SAY WHAT!" I shouted with all my might, even using bit of power to sway them back. "How bout Rick?! You can't just kick him out!"
"Rick is still my beta, but he will play a different role in the war. That's why you'll be taking his spot."
"Are you kidding me? I'm unexperienced for combat!"
"I know but even so you defeated them." He stares at others with a tint of disgust before staring right back at me with glowing eyes. "I expect you to perform your role well sis."
I gulped, i'm dead meat. I thought i would only be accepted as a warrior, damn maybe i should've not won many times, now they think i'm superman or something.
"So what's the plan?" I asked.
My brother grins.
