Or i wanted to escape.. a long time ago.
Suddenly i smelled someone's scent coming closer to our direction, i pulled him to stop and he did. He looks at me puzzlingly. "Someone is coming."
"No one is, i've knocked down the guards."
Yeah i see that. They were actually sprawled all over the place.
"Isn't warriors suppose to guard Maria?"
"I changed shifts and picked losers. So that i won't have a hard time."
Well his brain still works.
"This scent." He stops.
A woman wearing a cardigan and a slippers appeared before us, she glared toward kiel. "What's the meaning of this?"
I glared at her. "Syrena, don't."
"Luna." She sighs. "We're only trying to cure you."
I still don't understand those words.
I knew what she was trying to do right now. She raises her hand and dropped it down. I knew it, she casted a barrier around us. Kiel curses under his breath as he tried to broke the barrier.
"You think this stops us?" I chuckled.
"I know you don't wanna leave, you want to see him."
I growled.
"Don't listen to her." Kiel hold my hand tightly.
"I'll let this pass and kiel won't have to die. So choose, escape or stay for the best." She threatens.
What the hell.
I placed my palm on the barrier and slid down, feeling the electric shock but i felt no pain. I thought about what she said, she knew that i didn't want to leave, she knew.. that i don't wanna break the barrier even if i had the power to do so.
But.. khen won't be punished if we stop this now-
"What's all the ruckus here." An unknown voice said. "You're making me wait too long." he stares at kiel. Who the fuck is he?
Oh shit i know this guy.
"You." I growled.
He finally steps out from the shadow while a smirk plastered to his face, his hair messy and his clothes thorn all over. He eyes me up and down and stares at my face for a few minutes. "Long time no see, Christal."
My eyes widened, i literally flinched when he said my name. It gave me goosebumps and i hated the feeling, the familiar feeling from that face. From he's face.
I felt a quick bang on my head and i held it. "Hey psychopath." I grinned.
"You know each other??" Kiel looks at me.
"Yeah, he's the guy who's been following me. I don't like the smell of this guy." I growled.
He stepped forward while i did the opposite. My instincts are telling me to get away from this guy, and i trust my instinct. He's dangerous, he's the guy at the entrance of Delta Grounds and the guy who followed me before in the forest, thankfully Syrena was there to cover me up.
"Hand her over." He looks at Kiel.
My head spun towards Kiel and i glared at him. "What's the meaning of this?!"
Kiel shakes his head. "We're just trying to help you get out of this hell hole. Don't worry we had an agreement. I won't leave your side." Then he furrowed his brows towards that guy.
I gulped. I don't like the guy who's rescuing us.
"I'm not liking this, can we just stop?-"
"Why? Wanna go back to your mate?" That guy chuckles.
"N-No. i just don't think that a guy like you would do us good." I replied.
"Luna, let's go before they come, they are already alarmed, in a few minutes this place would be full with wolves." Kiel holds my hand, i shrugged it off.
"I'm not coming with that person."
"You see.." he comes closer to us, each step he took i felt my legs weaken and i hold into Kiel silently. "You don't get to choose. Our agreement says that he finish the job or his life forfeited."
"WHAT?!" I unbelievably looks at him. "The fuck, you stupid! Why would you make that kind of agreement with this filthy-soul-demon Guy!"
Of course he heard that, it was meant for him.
"It's for you."
I glared at him. "You think i want you to do this?! The hell were you thinking huh? You think that if he help us outta here happily ever after comes?!"
"We had an agreement-"
"FUCK THE AGREEMENT!" I hissed towards the guy infront of us. "If we're leaving, not with him."
He cuts in. "If you do that, we'll haunt you down. Don't worry we'll keep you alive, but the questions comes to your protector, does he live?"
My face turned into complete horror, Kiel tightens his hold on my hand and leaned closer to me. "Luna, i'm sorry if i trusted this guy. I disappointed you. Run, i'll help you escape. don't worry about me i'll do fine." He whispers.
"No. No! I am not leaving you. He's just one guy-"
I felt a thousand electricity throughout my body, i wobbled and Kiel caught me gracefully. I tried to breathed normally but the scent was too intoxicating to even stand. He was coming, i smell it.
My mate.
In just seconds that guy flashed infront of me and shielded me away from the wolves that was now growling towards us. I don't like this at all, two guys were standing for my protection against all werewolves in the pack.
"Here comes honey bunch." The guy growled playfully.
Then we heard it. The howl was so strong that we already knew that it was towards Kiel and this guy beside me. He jumped off the tree, the wind silencing all of us. Only his stare towards me screamed.
That look, he's scared?
"Herus, what's the meaning of this." The Alpha King, my mate growls. The others followed while their fangs waiting to tear these two guys apart.
Herus? That's this guy name?
"What does it look like to you?"
"It looks like you're waiting for me to put you through hell without fucking dying." His eyes blackens.
No, he's getting angry, if he does that Kiel will also get in trouble.
We need to get out.
I looked at my mate, i suddenly felt hurt just by seeing him. I thought i already got over this. I said to myself earlier that he doesn't care, that i shouldn't also. But why is that i want to hug him right now, i don't want to leave his side.
I can't do that, Kiel will die.
I swallowed my feelings even if it felt like i swallowed a cactus through my throat, i held out a cry. "Stop, i'm tired of your shit."
His eyes softens and looks at me. His eyes turning back to its natural color. "Christal, i know you-"
"Stop the chitchat." Herus cuts in, his face serious for the first time. He growled towards my mate and i hated it, but i didn't show any look of anger towards Herus. "She's coming with me."
Kiel must live.
"Are you sure about that?" My mate glared at him like a demon would.
"I'm sure." He replies.
My mate growls back making me flinch suddenly. His anger was whooshing all over the place, we knew what was gonna happen next, Herus knew. When my mate is only a meter close to Herus, he immediately pulls me closer and held me tight, i growled at Herus. The Alpha King going to a complete stop when i was stuck in a headlock in Herus's arms.
"What the fuck?!" I chocked out.
Herus leans towards my ear. "Listen, and cooperate."
"Fuck you." I replied.
"Unless you want your little companion to die."
My eyes widened.
I gritted my teeth, i knew that even if i wanted to come back to my Mate, Kiel would never be safe. He'll die and it'll be my fault because he thought of me while i was in Maria.
He's not right, he shouldn't have rescued me. I didn't need anyone.
My eyes landed to his, my mate. All sort of things happened but i couldn't get myself to hate him especially seeing him personally right now. All i wanted to do was touch him.
But i shouldn't.
"LET GO OF HER!" My mate growls towards Herus.
"What do you want me to do?"
Herus laughs, making almost all of the noise quiet down. He's crazy, in this kind of situation he had the nerve to laugh! I want to kick him in his balls or something!
But his next words weren't crazy, it was ultimately impossible.
"I want you to kill him." He grins towards my mate.
