Chapter 197

Della’s POV

The rays of sunlight beamed from the gap between the curtains, shining before us, and woke Kylian and me from our beautiful slumber.

Not even a second after I opened my eyelids, a warm and strong arm, made its way onto me, wrapping around my waist and pulling me closer against a strong and muscular chest.

Featherly kisses made their way from my nape to my neck and up to my jaw, bringing me a tickling sensation that threw countless butterflies into turmoil in my stomach.

“Stop! It’s still early…” I giggled, trying to make a gap between us as I moved my hand back and played with the strands of his hair.

Kissing my ears, he seductively whispered, “Telling me to stop and seducing me with those movements… Babe, make up your mind and stay on one line only.”

“Dork!” I scolded and pushed him away while laughing.

He laughed as well, and we both sat up properly on the bed.

Looking at the clock on the wall, it’s already seven in the morning. “We need to get moving. You still have a meeting.”

Kylian closed the gap between us and gave me a quick but deep kiss. “And you have a breakfast to catch up on.”

“Right!” Hearing that, I started moving and fasting at my pace.

After having a quick shower, I started changing into a pair of cream-colored trousers, a black crop top with a heart neckline, and a white bolero jacket. Looking at him through the mirror’s reflection, I asked, “Are you sure that you’ll be able to arrive in time?”

“Yes, don’t worry. The meeting won’t take that long,” he nonchalantly replied, which wasn’t enough to ease my fast-beating and anxious heart.

I put down my hairbrush, stood up, and seriously looked at him to show him I was serious. “Seriously, you have to arrive on time.”

He stopped what he was doing and held me in both my arms, staring deeply in my eyes. “I swear, I’ll be on time, okay?”

“Now, stop being anxious and enjoy your breakfast with Fae,” he uttered, landing a quick peck on my lips.

“Oh, and here,” he handed me a huge paper bag.

Narrowing my eyes, I cautiously accepted it. “What’s this?”

He only smiled, so I peeked inside and immediately had a huge smile. “No way. You bought me a dress?”

“I sure did.”

I slid my hand on the soft fabric of the dress and smiled with happiness. Though Jackson already hired a famous fashion designer to custom-make my dress, I’d still definitely wear this one.

There would be nothing more satisfying than seeing his dumbfounded look after he knows I’m the princess while wearing the clothes he bought me. That would just be beyond perfection.

From an omega, a Luna, and now the Princess… That would sure be a fantastic scene to witness.

“Now, you and enjoy. Don’t worry, I’ll be there and won’t let you attend it all alone. Besides, we still need to dance.”

With one last kiss, we separated from each other.

I brought Diana back with me to the Kingdom. As soon as we got out of the car early in the morning, Jackson’s beta was already waiting for us at the castle’s gate.

Unlike the other packs, Jackson had a she-wolf for a Beta. But that didn’t bring her any disadvantages because I sure as hell could vouch how strong and capable she was.

“Alisson, hi, nice to see you again,” I greeted as soon as I saw her. Unlike any other woman, she’s not a fan of girly clothes. Instead, she always wore fighting clothes and would have her long, silky smooth hair in a high ponytail.

She gave me a bow and replied, “Good day, Princess.”

Extending her hand and pointing inside, she added, “Prince Jackson already prepared a lot of dresses, shoes, and jewelry for you. It’s in your room.”

Alisson shifted her eyes to Diana. “As for you, Prince Jackson thanked you for your great service of taking care of the princess and permits you today to go freely and reunite with your friends.”

Instantly, a huge smile and words of gratitude came out of Diana’s lips.

I sighed, feeling relaxed and happy as I looked at the entire castle. “Thank you. It’s been so long since I came to my room.”

I wonder how it looks now that it’s filled with so many things I could choose from for the party.

As we started walking, I halted for a second as I remembered about the test that Jackson had for Kylian. Thinking that in order to make me decide to divorce, Jackson even brought Stella to deepen the misunderstanding between Kylian and me. I couldn't help but worry about Jackson's test today.

Looking back at Alisson, I asked, “Do you happen to know what kind of test my brother prepared for Kylian?”

With a diplomatic face, she replied, “I’m sorry, Princess, but I can’t disclose that to you. But I can guarantee you that what he plans was only the right thing to do.”

I only nodded, but I still felt uneasy about it. The reason told me that there would be no accidents today, but my intuition gave me the opposite answer.

“Are you satisfied with the baby products we sent you? If you need nutritional recipes, we can ask the Kingdom’s nutritionist to make more recipes for you that are suitable for pregnant women, Princess,” she added.

Shaking my head, I waved my hand. “No, it’s fine, thank you. Diana is doing a pretty good job about it.”

‘Jackson cares so much about my pup. I really hope nothing bad will happen to Kylian today, whatever Jackson planned for him was. I really want him to accept Kylian, and we can all live happily,’ I silently prayed.

“Here we are…” Alisson opened the door for me, and a familiar room came into my room.

It’s a whole lot bigger than Kylian’s room, and its walls were painted with dark violet. Above the ceiling was my favorite part. A 3D half-sphere moon covers a huge part of the ceiling, acting as the chandelier.

It’s really captivating.

Right now, the queen-size bed was nowhere to be found as it was covered by the five tall and long hanger trolleys showcasing many dresses. There were also half menaquinones with various full sets of jewelry and shoes displayed around the floor.

It’s like a whole department store in here.

I was still dumbfounded when a certain red-haired bop with a leather skirt suddenly popped out behind the clothes and jumped on me.

‘Oh my goddess! Hello to you too, Fae,” I greeted while laughing.

After letting go of me, I started feeling much better and more familiar with everything.

“Here!” Fae excitedly tossed a gift box on my way. “It’s a gift from Stella and Ralph. They went on a trip right after Jackson gave Ralph a holiday.”

Excited, I unwrapped the box. Instantly, a note greeted me. “Good luck!”

“Oh my gosh!” I happily jumped as I realized that inside the box were detailed suggestions of how to manage the Wakeland waters.

With Albert's help, Wakeland's situation was much better now. But this did not mean that it was completely safe and peaceful.

About half of the rogues who caused trouble before have not been caught, especially the Rogue King...

Ralph's suggestion was of great significance to my subsequent work, because those rogues are hidden near the sea.

Looking at Fae with happiness, I exclaimed, “This is a very important gift!”

“Now, come on, let’s turn you into a princess charming!” She grabbed the box from me and helped me.

“So, which dress?” she asked, motioning to all the present dresses.

With a huge smile, I gave her the bag Kylian prepared for me and said with conviction, “This one!”

“Let me guess, Kylian gave it to you?”

“You know me too well.”

It’s a gorgeous, magical ball gown in white fabric, but depending on the reflection of light, it would turn in a combination of pink and blue shades. It had a Queen Anne neckline and an overskirt. It's really beautiful, surreal even.

While helping me wear my petticoat, I asked, “You don’t happen to know what the test Jackson prepared for Kylian is, do you?”

Fae’s hands froze, and she looked at me narrowly before laughing. “Oh dear, you are anxious!”

“Don’t play around and answer me.”

“Alright, alright! I can’t tell you that, but this I can tell.” She stood properly and added, “You can feel assured because this time, Jackson used a fair method, which I wouldn’t ask any other way. If Kylian fails it, then he really doesn’t love you and isn’t worthy of you.”

With her words, I couldn’t help but be even more curious.

“Don’t forget, you and him are chosen mates only. If he can’t pass Jackson’s small test, then how can your relationship last long?” Fae seriously added, emphasizing the words ‘chosen mates’ that brought sting in my heart.

Whenever I was reminded of that pack, Flora would always flash in my mind. After all, she’s Kylian’s fated mate.

‘She’s out of our lives. She would not appear anymore, and definitely not in here,’ I assured myself silently.

Fae patted me on my shoulder in comfort. “Don’t worry a thing. I’m sure everything will just be fine.”

She then continued helping me dress when she suddenly stopped and added something that made my heart skip a beat.

“Oh, and I seem to have seen Albert this morning. He’s in the kingdom.”
