Chapter 183

Della’s POV

I stared into his eyes vast with wonder, and I couldn’t help but melt right here, right now.

Not only because he was curious about my real identity, but because I could finally feel his sincerity towards me. I knew now how much he loved me – a love which I felt and which he showed without knowledge of who I really was.

Despite being of low-born, he fell in love with me. Truly and deeply, and that’s what I’ve been looking for all along.

Hence, I smiled at him with ease. There’s no more reason for me to hide anything from him.

Biting my lower lip to hide my excitement for my big revelation.

Sitting up properly, I looked down at him and played with the strand of his hair cascading on his forehead.

Sweetly, I said, “Say what, I’ll give you a huge surprise once you finish dealing with issue that the Dark Moon Pack is facing.”

“So.. You’re really hiding something?” he asked, both surprised and confused.

I couldn’t help but let out a small laugh as I watched his facial expression. His eyes were shifting from widening and narrowing while his eyebrows furrowed every other second.

If Kylian knew that I was actually not an omega, but the princess and the heir to the kingdom, he would definitely be frightened.

"Have you finally decided to go public? We have to make those people regret their offense against you!" Trisha was almost spinning with excitement.

"That's not important Trisha. What's important is that I can finally be my true self in front of Kylian. We no longer have any secrets from each other." I pushed Trisha back in startle when Kylian suddenly waved his hands before my eyes.

“What are you laughing at? I’m seriously asking here.”

“Nothing baby...” I held his cheek. “You’re so cute.”

“Della…” When he started using his firm and serious voice, I laughed even harder.

Raising my hands in surrender while trying to stop myself from laughing, I said, “Okay, I’m sorry. Really, I’ll tell you once things get settled in the pack.”

“Why the need to wait?”

By this second, I could already feel the overflowing curiosity in him and a hint of annoyance.

“Now, where’s the surprise in that?” I teased.

“You’re not really telling, are you?” He narrowed his eyes.

Shaking my head, I seriously replied, “Not a chance.”

Subconsciously, my eyes fell on the clock above him.

Soon, the celebratory party that Jackson prepared for me for successfully taking over Wakeland would be held. By that time comes, I’d tell Kylian myself my original birth identity.

And… I’d also tell him about our pup.

He pulled his hand away from my hold. At first, my eyes widened and I was about to protest, only to swoon by his next movement.

He wrapped my hand into his as he pulled it close to his lips.

“No matter who you are, low ranking or high, I'll always love you.” With that, he kissed the back of my hand all while staring deeply into my eyes with so much love I’ve ever seen in him.

Then, he let out a teasing smirk. “But still, I’m looking forward to that surprise.”

With that, both of us laughed together that our joyous voices filled the room, lifting the once gloomy and senseful atmosphere.

After a few minutes of small talk and cuddling, a knock on the door pulled us back to reality.

“Come in,” I permitted.

The door opened and Henry came in.

He gave me a small bow before looking at Kylian. “Alpha…”

“And that’s my cue…” I calmly said as I stood up.

“Wait, where are you going?” Kylian asked with worry while holding my wrist, holding me back.

Tapping his shoulder, I calmly said, “You still have work to do. I’ll leave you two to discuss it.”

“Don’t go far,” he reminded.

Shaking my head, I said, “Don’t worry, I won’t.”

“I’ll leave him to you,” I said to Henry before I walked past him and left the room.

As soon as I left the room, I was greeted by Diana’s appearance.

She was seating at the metal bench on the hallway across Kylian’s room with a very worried and panicked expression while embracing a lunch bag. With two dark circles on her pale face, she looked like she hadn't slept for several nights.

“Oh Diana, are you alright?” I asked worriedly, standing in front of her.

She looked up at me and immediately stood up.

In surprise, she said, “Ms. Della, you’re finally here! Thank goodness.”

“Why, what happened?”

“Please! Please… Please… Please… For the love of Moon Goddess and everyone who cares for you, please eat,” she begged so hard.

As if on cue, my tummy crumbled in protest as I finally felt how starving I was. With my immense worry about Kylian’s situation, I haven’t really eaten anything and been so oblivious of my pup’s need.

I remembered how many timed Diana would come in here and trying to approach me and try to make me eat, but I’m so worried about Kylian that I didn’t pay much attention to her.

Aghhh! Della! How could you be so stupid?

I just want to slap my forehead right now.

My hands went to my belly and I looked down on it, feeling the little bump in it. Guilt surged into me – not only for my pup, but also for Diana.

Despite my constant neglect of her during these days, she still enthusiastically kept caring for me and preparing me nutritious and delicious foods.

With a guilty smile and a starving stomach, I asked, “I hope that’s something to fill my monstrous tummy?”

Diana’s eyes widened in realization and she immediately nodded her head happily.

“I have fruits and juices here, and your favorite stew chicken!”

While saying that, she hastily opened the lunch bag she brought and started preparing it at the nearby table of the lounge area.

As soon as she opened the lid, the appetizing aroma reached my nostrils, making me even more hungry than ever.

I smiled happily and sat comfortably at the chair, excitedly wanting to start eating.

Grabbing the utensils Diana gave me, I was about to start munching when my hands stopped mid-air.

Seeing my sudden pause of movement, Diana asked nervously, “Is something wrong, Ms. Della? Is it not to your liking?”

Seeing her expressions, sadness and guilt suddenly flood over me.

After so many days I ignored her, there she was still thinking only of my sake.

I shifted my gaze to her. “I’m sorry, Diana.”

Her eyes widened, but I didn’t let her speak as I continued.

“I know that I’ve ignored many of you these past few days because I’m so focus with Kylian.”

Diana smiled. “I understand, Ms. Della. just eat your food and take care of your health, and I’ll be good.”

I nodded and took a huge spoon of food. Her pleased expression brought tears in my eyes.

I'm so lucky to have all of my friends and families by my side. Diana, Fae, and...my brother Jackson. They have all helped me and worried about me so much these days.

So after finishing my meal, Diana went back to the pack house to take care of some things while I went out of the hospital to call my brother.

Although he must have heard from Diana and Troy about my current situation, my dear brother must be worried.

And besides… I had to tell him that I didn’t want to have divorce with Kylian now.

Just the thought of doing this made me nervous and breathless. I would never forget how he swore to kill Kylian furiously, how he ordered me to divorce and how he looked at me with his worried eyes...

Telling him about my decision at this time felt like a betrayal. I could almost imagine him looking at me disappointingly, or rushing to Dark Moon to take me home.

"You're my fucking little sister Della! If you get hurt again, it'll kill me!" I thought that would be what he said.

But I've made up my mind. Kylian almost died for me. I couldn’t give up him. I just...couldn’t.

Anxiously, I took a deep breath and dialed Jackson’s number.

I heard it ringing over my ear, as my nervousness shot up.

“I could do it...I could do it.” I silently repeated, tapping my fingers on the side while waiting for the tormenting ringing of his phone. “Oh my goddess, please help me...”

“Hello?” Suddenly Jackson answered and I gulped.
