Chapter 129

Della’s POV

Luke turned his head and stared at Ralph with disgust. Obviously, he has sensed that Ralph was an omega.

Pointing a finger at him with a scrunchy face, Luke scolded, “That’s none of your business! An omega like you don’t need to know anything about Stella!”

His eyes flattered between me and Ralph before he let out a degrading laugh. As always, he was looking down on Omegas again without remorse… just like how he treated me.

“I see.” He nodded his head as if understanding something. “It’s this your new lover, huh?”

Narrowing his eyes at me, he continued, “Are you that thirsty of a prostitute? You can even take an omega now.”

“Sir. Luke, I warn you. You better consider the consequence of slandering Ms. Della like that,” Diana stepped up with a stern face.

“She is–” I took hold of Diana’s wrist, stopping her as I gave her a discreet shake of a head.

According to the kingdom laws, those who dare to slander the Lycan royals shall face great punishment. I understood where she was coming from, but there was really no need to waste energy on Luke anymore.

‘What a pathetic hypocrite,’ I thought.

Looking at how Luke was ridiculously acting right now, I wanted to laugh with disgust.

How dare he act all mighty and saint when he was the one between us who was more dirty than a piece of shit.

Soon, evidence about him taking bribes would be in my hand. I have high faith in Troy that he would be able to do a proper investigation and provide heavy evidence for Luke. After all, he was the head of the Kingom’s security.

By then, he wouldn’t be as arrogant as he was right now. He’ll be ruined, and I’ll make sure of that.

“I’ll strike that imbecile eyes of yours, you insolent bitch! How dare you look at me with such mockery when you’re nothing a low-life omega!” Well, I guess he still did see through my feelings despite my slightest effort to hide it.

Ralph, who was shy and reserved, unexpectedly took a step forward, hiding me in his back as he warned, “Don’t slander Ms. Della! People like you don’t even deserve to say her name from that awful mouth of yours!”

My heart skipped a bit in worry. Although I asked Ralph to keep my secret, he seemed so angry now that I worried he might have a slip of the tongue and reveal my identity.

“Ralph!” I hinted him by calling his name. Ralph paused to swallow what he had not finished, and then snorted at Luke.

Fortunately, my identity was not exposed.

But just after I let out a relief, Luke raised an eyebrow at Ralph.

“People like me? Are you hearing yourself?” He smirked. “Did I’ve been too generous to omegas that you all think you can talk back at me?”

“Della. I’ve been such a fool to let Kylian marry an omega like you. You’re lucky enough to experience being a Luna for the past few years, but that will end now. Stella will soon replace your position!”

Oh no!

Hearing Luke’s words, Ralph stumbled back in shock. But when he recovered, he did something I never thought he would be capable of.

He strode forward and grabbed Luke by the collar without a hint of fear.

“What do you mean by that? How can Stella become the Luna of the Dark Moon Pack?” he growled.

As he entered the house earlier, he was nothing but shy, reserved, and quiet. But now… he looked like an actual man with dominance radiating all over him. He was so angry that he looked like he would even dare to duel with an Alpha like Luke.

This made me a little touched and sad. Ralph loved Stella so deeply that he could get so much energy from her, but she betrayed him! How could she?

“Answer me!” Luke was too shocked to answer, so Ralph roared again. His eyes turned red. I believed he would turn the world upside down if anyone dare to snatch Stella from him.

When he tightened his hold on Luke's collar, I immediately stepped in, realizing the severity of the situation.

I held his shoulder, and advised, “Calm down first, Ralph.”

He jerked back and stared at me, the anger in his eyes even making me flinch. But soon he realized it was me and calmed down.

Staring at him intently, I slowly nodded my head to persuade him to follow my advice.

Clenching his teeth, he slowly let go.

I patted his shoulder to comfort him. At the same time, my hatred for Stella also swept over me. With a great mate such as Ralph, why would Stella give him up over Kylian? That’s just ridiculous.

“Okay?” I gently whispered before he completely let go of Luke.

What I didn’t expect next was for Luke to go right ahead and punch Ralph in the face while his attention was on me. What a asshole!

The force of Luke’s punch made Ralph fall to the ground. Even so, Ralph showed no sign of being intimidated.

His fury fueled him with strength and he tried to get up. Obviously, he had more questions for Luke about Stella. He won’t give up without getting an answer.

Seeing Ralph’s reaction though, Luke would be stupid if he failed to put two and two together.

He laughed with mockery. “Oh I got it. You like Stella? Is that it?”

“Tsk… Tsk… Tsk…” He taunted even further. “What right, did you, a mere omega, have to think that you can be with the daughter of the Lock Heart Pack’s Alpha! You’re quite ambitious, like Della here. You’re both an omega wanting to rise on the ladder!”

Ralph raised his arm and wiped the blood on his burst lips. “And what right did you have to look down on others?!”

I could see how Luke’s face reddened with much anger and how his nostrils flared.

Looking down, I observed how he fisted his hand, showing that he was ready to throw another punch at Ralph.

Not a chance, you would!

I pulled Ralph back and caught Luke’s fist with my hand.

As a princess, I had an obligation to protect my members… even the omegas. I won’t let it happen twice under my nose.

I twisted Luke’s fist and push it back. I was about to let him see my Lycan’s power when the door was suddenly kicked open, causing a loud sound as it was knocked down.

Stella came in, breathing fast, as if she ran a mile as fast as she could just to get in here.

Her eyes were wide open as she looked around, and took in the scene in front of her.
