Chapter 111

Kylian’s POV

“When will you ever learn?” My father shouted as he whipped me with silver once more. I could no longer count how many kicks, punches, and whips he threw at my way.

My entire body was with bruises and cuts, and pain was radiating all over me. By this time, I think I was even immune to all his abuse already.

I looked at him with dead eyes, wondering how I could have a father as worthless as he was. No, could he even be called as one?

With a lazy tone, I replied, “Revoke it! How can you throw Della at that torn-up house? She’s my Luna whether you like it or not! Father, it is because of my respect for you that I have been tolerant and even willing to accept your punishment! But that doesn’t mean I have to do it all the time! Remember? I beat you. I'm the Alpha now!”

Hearing my words, he went on and punished me again. "Alpha? Then act like one. Kill me!"

I roared and raised my paw.

But when I put it to my father's throat, I stopped.

He is my father.

"You don’t have the guts." He sneered, ignoring the fact that I didn't do it just because he was my father.

I gritted my teeth, enduring his another round of whipping.

Once he was satisfied of hurting me, he left me alone to mend for myself.

I almost crawled back to my room to take a shower and cleaned myself from blood and dirt with water.

Looking through the mirror, I stated at my wolf, “We’re not healing.”

“We are, just not quick enough. The silver is still running on our blood. It won’t heal so fast for a while.” After that, my wolf stopped talking again. It’s probably conserving his energy on healing our body.

Because of all the bruises, I had no choice but to wear long sleeves and pants wherever I go to prevent others from being suspicious.

How could my pack members feel being safe when their Alpha didn’t even had the power to protect himself from his own father?

It’s one of the humiliating truths about me that I never wish to share.

I let out a sigh because I suddenly realized another day passed by, and before anyone knew it, the deadline that Della gave me in signing our divorce paper was coming closer.

“I’m sorry…” I whispered with regret as a hint of panic rose upon me.

Laying down, I could only thought of all the moments I had with Della - both happy and sad days.

I treasure all of it. Though I had many regrets after wronging her multiple times, loving her was something I could never change or deny.

“I miss you…” I whispered in thin air whenever I secretly peaked at Della from a far. I knew that she hated me so much that she didn’t want to see me anymore; not even my shadow.

Hence, I was left with no choice but to see her from a far, without her knowledge. I’ll secretly visit her every day, just wanting see how she was doing.

But every time I would do that, my father would know and he’ll end up punishing me each day for the same reason.

He’ll hurt me so much that it would be hard for me to even stand up to leave my room and see her.

But I strive on.

I had this extreme feeling that I would go crazy if I were not to see Della.

Lose in my won thoughts, I stayed lying on my bed. Suddenly, a series of knock was heard from my door.

Hearing the urgency, I stood up with difficulty and opened the door. I saw that it was the warrior whom I assigned to protect Della. Looking around and ensuring that no watchers of my father where there, I let him in.

“What is it?” I asked with worry. If he would come to me in such a hurry, I could only think that it concerned Della. Hence, worry immediately rushed on me.

“Luna Della was brought to the canteen by other warriors. She was being escorted like a prisoner upon being called out by Sir. Luke. Upon investigation, I learned that a group of omegas area accusing her of verbal and physical abuse. They went on strike which angered Sir. Luke,” he reported.

Waving my hand, and commanded, “You can leave.”

With abow of respect, he turned and left.

Instantly, worry and anger rose in me.

I looked back in the mirror and ensure that no injuries of mine where showing. Despite the pain, I stood upright and forced myself to move in a way that no one would think for even a second that I had an injury.

Without further a due, I hurried to the canteen to see Della.

My chest was rising and falling violently as anger rose in me. How dare those insolent omegas to do that to Della!

My current situation with Della was already difficult enough, and there they were making more problems for us!

Frustration filled me as my hands subconsciously formed into a fist.

I was breathing heavily as my heart beat faster with worry, guilt, and regret. I couldn’t lose Della. I didn’t want any more triggers to come at her way which would tore us both apart even more.

Arriving at the canteen, relief came in me as soon as I saw Della coming out of the canteen unharmed.

Without more hesitation, I came forward and talked to her.

But I was even more surprised when I saw that Stella was in there.

“What are you doing here?” I asked, but I think that Stella’s presence angered Della even more.

I held her hand and tried to explain and beg her, but she won’t budge.

‘Fuck it! Stella is ruining everything!’  I couldn’t help but curse in my mind.

Seeing Della’s retreating figure, I looked back at Stella with anger in my eyes.

For the past few days, I was able to see how great Stella was at pleasing my father. She could do what most people couldn’t, which was to sway my father’s decision. For one, she could make him change his mind not to punish Della or to have him bring Della back to the guest house.

It came as a surprise. Though it was a good thing, it’s unfortunate that Della refused.

“What’s your real intention?” I asked Stella with accusation in my tone.

I was no fool.

Stella was here not to help me like she told me before. Instead, all her actions pointed out that she was doing all of these to keep Della away from me. She’s not mending anything, just breaking everything left between Della and me.

Acting clueless, Stella replied, “What? What do you mean? We talked about it before, right? I’m helping you out.”

I scoffed. “Helping me? Everything you did brought nothing but make things worse! Why did you really came here to begin with?”

She looked at me in disbelief. “How could you?”

I raised an eyebrow at her.

“I cam here, doing everything I could do help you and Della, and there you are having the guts to doubt and accuse me? I can’t believe you!” she depressingly said while pointing a finger at me.

I shook my head. “You want me to believe that?”

She shook her head in dismay and tried to walk off but I held her wrist to stop her. “What? Do you wnat to be the new Luna? Is that why you’re here? Is that your real motive?”

I asked her one after another.

When she just kept staring at me, I continued with a pruse lips, “Don’t even think about it! That position will never be yours.”

Stella remained silent for a while before she angrily pushed my hadn away. “You’re talking nonsense!”

After that, she walked off with immense anger, leaving me puzzled.

If not for the Luna’s title, why was she trying os hard to please my father?

I looked at her retreating figure for a while before turning to leave. Upon arriving back at the pack house, I found Henry seated at the sofa of the living room, waiting for me.

“Alpha…” He stood as soon as he saw my arrival.

I nodded, signaling for him to continue.

“I have two things to report which I know you’ll be very interested in.”

Okay, now that piqued my attention. With furrowed eyebrows, I stared at him and motioned for him to continue.

“One is about Ms. Della while the other is about Albert.”

Albert? What could possibly happen to him that needed my attention?
