Chapter 93

(Kylian’s POV)

If there was one thing I regret the most among all my stupid decisions, it was that I hurt Della again and again over Flora. She might be my fated mate, but she wasn’t half as good as Della, and she’ll never be.

She always pretended to be that innocent and vulnerable woman in front of me and ruined Della’s reputation toward Margot and my mother.

I remembered once upon a time,we were at the dining table, casually eating lunch with my parents and Margot when Flora suddenly spoke, ‘Is Della not going to eat with us? Is she still asleep? At this hour?’

She asked casually while looking at me. At that time, I was under the influence of matebond and didn't think much about what she said. I thought she was just caring about Della. But it didn’t sound that way to my mother or Margot.

My mother who didn’t care earlier suddenly looked up and furrowed. “Right, where is she?”

“She’s being lazy now?” Margot added. Then they would abuse Della without me knowing, ordering her to prepare everyone's breakfast, so she had to get up very early and didn't get enough sleep.

There was another time, Flora suddenly peaked inside my office and asked while I was talking with my mother. “Hey, have you seen Della?”

“Why?” I answered casually.

“I’m just worried, I haven’t seen her since earlier when I saw her giving quite a lot of orders to omegas in the garden.”

“What is she overworking? Acting all arrogant now?” Mom asked with annoyance. Then all the omega work was handed over to Della.

These were what Henry told me later, and just minor details of many other things which she did.

I didn't know anything about it at the time. I always thought Flora was gentle and kind, pregnant with my heir, but I didn’t know that she had been bullying Della by this way.

The moment I knew that she was playing tricks on me, I immediately kicked her out.

She might be my fated mate, but Della was my chosen one. And that love for her was something that not even moon goddess could force me to change.

That day, when I made Flora leave, I vowed to never make any unnecessary contact with her.

Now, facing Henry who suddenly reported news about her being related to Moon Howler’s pack, as much as I hate it, it was something I couldn’t ignore.

But it wasn’t because I was worried about her, but because it was the Moon Howlers.

Their pack was known to be powerful, and their Luna was even the daughter of the Black Fur Packs’ alpha which was the third strongest pack in the kingdom.

Their marriage made the Moon Howlers and Black Fur Pack’s ties very strong and connected. The two packs would surely cause a huge threat to my pack if they attack us together.

It wasn’t something I could just ignore. As much as I wanted to prioritize Della, this issue became the priority as it would jeopardize the entire pack and its member’s life.

With that, Henry successfully stopped me from chasing Della.

With a clenched jaw, I instructed, “Let’s go to my office.” Then, I led the way.

As soon as I sat on my seat, I leaned on the back of the chair, and said, “Tell me what you know.”

Henry took his phone from his pocket, navigated on it, then put it on my table in front of me to show me what was on the screen.

“Ms. Flora sent me this message a few minutes ago,” he explained.

I grabbed his phone, and read Flora’s message, “Henry, this is me, Flora. After Kylian vanished from the pack, I met the Moon Howler’s alpha, and he helped me get back on my feet. He took me in his pack, but his Luna always targets me and abuses me for no reason. Please… Please have Kylian help and save me. He’s my only hope now.”

I raised my brow afterward, and threw his phone back at him without care.

Shrugging, I commented, “It seems like she sounded pitiful and all. But it has nothing to do with me anymore.”

“That’s not all.” Henry took out a document and presented it to me. “It’s the joint document sent by Moon Howlers and Black Fur Packs. They are accusing you of ordering your pack member to cause chaos in another pack. They think you are deliberately causing unrest in Moon Howlers. ”

I massaged my temples, realizing the severity of the situation.

Chaos? What the hell did she do again?!

Fuck it! Already gone from my pack and still making trouble!

Sometimes I wonder what the moon goddess was thinking when she bonded with that insolent woman. Flora was just something that seemed to be born only to cause me problems.

I thought all the problems Flora was making would end the second she was gone from my sight and my pack. I guess I was totally wrong.

Signing, I said, “I’ll call the Luna of the Moon Howlers and clarify my relationship with Flora.”

Henry nodded, but asked another question, “I… I also heard that Nancy was set free. May I know why you decided to do that, Alpha?”

I could sense the confusion in him. After all, Nancy dared to poison Albert. He is not only Jackson's messenger, but also an Alpha heir. If this matter was not handled carefully, it might cause a diplomatic turmoil.

Since he was my beta, he had the right to know. But it's a bit hard for me to say that...

“If I punish Nancy, it will be exposed that Della illegally detained her. I don’t want to punish Della.”

I looked back at the documents he gave me, thinking our discussion ended, but I sensed that he was still standing there.

Looking up, I asked, “Anything more?”

He looked hesitant. It’s as if he had something to say, but debating on it.

I raised an eyebrow, encouraging him to say it if there was something. Nonetheless, I didn’t push him too hard anymore.

Right now, there were far more important things I needed to attend than fill my curiosity about Henry’s strange action.

Henry shook his head after a minute of thinking before turning around and leaving without a word.

I could only shake my head. Sometimes, he could really be hard to read.

Once he was out of  the room, I grabbed the landline on my desk, and dialed the Moon Howler’s number connected to Luna's office.

As soon as the call got connected, I introduced myself, “Good day, this is Kylian, the Alpha of the Dark Moon Pack. I–”

I wasn’t able to continue further when I was instantly showered with curses with Luna’s aura.

“Oh, so you’re the bastard! You’re that slut’s fucking mate, aren’t you?”

She was exploding with unimaginable fury.

...Slut? What...happened? I frowned, sank into confusion.
