Chapter 88

Della’s POV

I hid the pregnancy test on one of my bags first. Once I calmed myself down, I stood up and helped Diana on packing our things.

As soon as she saw me, she stopped me. “Miss, I can do that. You should just rest. Please, it’s my job.”

Diana even motioned toward the chair, telling me to take a seat and just watch her.

I smiled, and uttered in refusal, “Let’s do it together. Besides, I have nothing else to do anyway.”

“But…”

I raised my hand and showed her my palm as I interjected, “No buts. Let’s do it together and that’s final. It will be faster as well.”

Diana let out a frown. “Now, how I can refute when you say it like an order? No fair…”

I laugh at that.

She’s being silly, but cute.

After half an hour, Diana and I slammed ourselves on the sofa. We were breathing heavily. “Finally!”

We both said while looking at the piles of bags filled with our things.

Once we recovered from exhaustion, I said, “Okay, let’s go and finds what awaits us.”

Diana carried three bags while I carried one. For the record, I insisted of carrying two, but getting one was already a huge fight between us. She was so into her job that she didn’t want me to do anything that she should be doing.

As soon as we came out of the guest house, a maid dressed in shabby huge brown shirt and a pants greeted us. She lowered her head a bit, and said, “Ms. Della, I’m Greta. I’m here to guide you to your new residence.”

“He isn’t in a hurry, huh?” I sarcastically said, but Greta could only lower her head even more.

I understand. She was just following her master’s order.

Nodding, I commanded, “Lead the way.”

We followed her. Just when I thought we would enter the pack house, she made her way passed it and went straight to the side. At the way back of it was a narrow road heading a bit toward the pack house’ railing.

At the corner was a small house that I could even described as a cabin by how low quality it was made of.

“You want Ms. Della to stay there?” Diana asked in exasperation.

“Forgive me, but this is where Sir. Luke had instructed me to bring you,” Great said in a low voice before she took small steps and open the door that instantly creaked as she pulled it.

My mouth hang open in disbelief.

Luke’s treating me even worse than an omega. At least omegas have a shared quarters in the main pack house.

Diana and I hesitantly entered the cabin and found how worse that place could be.

The roof and corners had spider webs on it, the old furnitures were filled with dust, and there was only one bed. I doubt that the appliances were even working.

I was beyond dumbfounded.

“I… I’ll leave you both first to unpack.” After that, Greta left us alone. I’m sure she didn’t want to be here as well as we might vent our frustration on her instead.

“Ms. Della…” Diana called out my name. She wasn’t ranting yet but I already knew that she was as devastated as I was. Maybe even more.

I looked at her. “Diana… Its–”

I wasn’t even starting yet when she continued, “This is utter ridiculous! They are not respecting you! This is absurd!”

She motioned the entire place with her hand with disgust in her face, and continued, “Look around us, not even an animal deserve to be in here! We should file a complain to Prince Jackson about how the Dark Moon Pack is maltreating you. He can force Alpha Kylian to arrange a better place for you.”

I looked around the place once more, and thought that it’s something we could do something about. With a massive cleaning, it would be a pretty cozy place to stay in.

Looking at Diana who was still angered, I calmly shook my head.

Striding forward, I took one of the towels I found hanging by the window and wiped clean the wooden table before I placed down the bag I was carrying.

“No need, let’s not make a fuse. We can clean this place. It’s nothing hard,” I told her. Indeed, it was an easy job.

I used to clean places when I was still an omega. It’s time consuming, but not impossible.

“But…” Diana tried to protest.

“No buts. I’m tired and I don’t want to move from different places too many times. Besides, getting involve in another conflict will only complicate things and I don’t want to be stress about it,” I explained to her and gave her a small smile as I handed her another towel to clean the place.

“Come on, it’s just a little cleaning,” I said cheekily to brighten her up.

Diana scowled at me and said, “You just didn’t want Prince Jackson to punish Alpha Kylian.”

I stopped at that. Well, she wasn’t wrong. Once jackson learn how I was being treated in here, he’ll get furious and go wild. He’ll surely punish the Kylian as he was the alpha.

“Well, it wasn’t his fault. It’s Luke who made us come here.”

She frowned even more before letting out a sigh.

“I know, it’s not a great place to stay in compare to the kingdom and the guest house. If you can’t handle this place, you can go back to the kingdom. I’ll explain to Jackson so he won’t punish you. I’ll talk to him that it’s my decision to send you back,” I told her with a smile.

Diana was a really great person. I was lucky to have her by my side and it would be a loss for me to leave. But I couldn’t let her suffer with me as well. I couldn’t be so selfish to keep her here with me in this kind of place.

I vividly saw how Diana’s eyes widened upon my suggestion, and immediately uttered, “No! I will never go back in the kingdom alone and leave you here. Not a chance.”

After saying that, she immediately grabebd the towel from me. “You’re too kind, Ms. Della. That’s probably why they think they can step on you.”

“You’re someone who deserve the moon and sky. Please, fight. You deserve more than to be maltreated.”

I coudlnt’ help but smile at that.

She deserve more too… It’s saddening how someone as bright as her be an omega and not be treated with more respect.

I opened one of the bags and grabbed the pregnancy test.  With it on my hand, I looked at Diana, and said, “I am planning to talk with Kylian about this…”

“You’ll tell him?” she asked in surprise.

I nodded.

“But, won’t you regret it? Didn’t you want to divorce him? You should divroce him. After all, he is not taking care of you well…”

I shrugged. “I don’t know. Probbaly I won’t, maybe not. But right now, I know that I have to talk to Kylian about our pup.”

She’s right. Maybe I would regret talking to Kylian. But what should I do? I have a pup now. It’s not something I could just hide from him. After all, every pup deserve a father.

For now, I must hide it from Jackson because he would be furious and end up hurting Kylian.

Subconsciously, I held my stomach. ‘This is for you,’ I thought to myself.

For the sake of my pup, I’ll tell Kylian everything about me, all the truth. I’ll tell him who I really was so we could talk about how we could solve the problems we were about to face.

“Ms. Della…” Diana called out when I stood up. “Please, be careful… This place will be so clean when you get back,” she said in encouragement and worry.

“Thank you.”

After that, I tightened my hold on the pregnancy test, turned around, opened the door, and left.
