Della?
Who allowed her to call me that? How did she know my name?
As I heard the woman call me, I had formed a last minute plan to pretend that I didn't hear anything and just continue leaving but I already saw them coming toward me. They were walking quite close to each other, somthing which made me feel somehow uncomfortable.
I was disappointed from not seeing him for several days, and there he was with another woman.
A minute later, they stopped in front of me, just two feet away from each other.
"This is…" Kylian was about to say something, probablyintroducing us to each other, but he was interrupted by the woman.
"Oh, no need for introduction, I already know her,” the woman said confidently as she waved her hands to Kylian, stopping him from continuing his words.
With her words, both Kylian and I were surprised. I even saw how Kylian gave me a glance of confusion, but I didn’t paid any attention to it as all I have now was curiosity about the woman he was with.
She looked directly into my eyes and patted Kylian's shoulder intimately. My wolf felt it clearly-
We were challenged.
"She's Jackson's…"As if Kylian and I were strangers, she enthusiastically introduced us. This was too ridiculous! I was his Luna!
Irritated, I didn't let her finish and asked, "Who are you?"
Didn't seem fazed, the woman replied casually, "Hi, Della. I'm Stella. We've met before, remember? I'm the daughter of the alpha of the Lock Heart Pack."
It turned out to be her!
We had met at the Kingdom Dance, but I was still very young at that time. My father liked her very much and even joked that he hoped to choose her to be Jackson's mate.
But...she looked so different now; far from the timid and shy girl she saw at the party.
"Oh right, I'm here on behalf of the Lock Heart Pack. My dad, the alpha, made me go," she explained without me asking.
I didn't take it into heart though as I believed that she's only trying to keep the conversation going.
Glimpsing at Kylian, as if he's in haste to explain, he immediately added, "Dad made me come and to fetch and accompany her in person."
Was he explaining it to me? Didn't he think it's too late?
Indifferently nodding at him, I took small steps together with them at the garden. After all, it's quite awkward to just stand there and talk.
In fact, I didn't even know why I became part of they're conversation. I should've left earlier.
Seeing Stella looking at me every now and then, I halted and looked at her, urging her to speak. "You want to say something to me?"
She nodded, not even fazed by my direct question.
"I heard that you're divorcing Alpha Kylian."
Kylian immediately looked at me nervously, but I chose to ignore him and nodded at her reply.
Kylian's disappointed expression made me feel a little relieved. But I don't understand why she even asked? It's not like it's any of her damn business.
For some unknown reason, I felt irritated.
To my surprise, she smiled widely and her eyes sparkled with happiness.
"That's good news!“ She even clapped her hands.
What a reaction. Didn't she feel a slightest bit of conscience to show consideration?
Seeing Kylian and I's reaction, she stopped and said, "Sorry, my bad."
"It's just that I see how promising and competent alpha, Alpha Kylian is. It's such a shame for him to be let go. Don't you think so?" Stella explained.
Her words suddenly struck me in the heart.
‘She like Kylian.' The idea bumped into my mind, making me nervous.
"I don't have a mate yet so I was thinking that he’ll be a good fit. After all, I’m an alpha’s daughter. I don’t think it would be any loss of him. What do you think?" She meaningfully looked at Kylian.
Before Kylian could even speak, I said, "He already has his fated mate."
Fated mate were incomparable to chosen mates. They were the mates chosen by the moon goddess. As much as we want, it would be a hard thing to do.
To my surprised though, Stella simply shrugged. "I don't care. I love him. I think we’re compatible with each other. That’s all that matters right? Besides, I don’t see his mate being in here, and you both are going to get divorced so I don’t see any problem.”
She even clasped her hand on Kylian's arm which made my blood boil.
She didn’t care about anything. She knew what she wanted and was going straight right at it.
I knew I shouldn't be jealous, but damn I am!
It's vivid that she liked Kylian and she wanted to be his Luna.
I wanted to throw her out, but I knew that I didn't have any rights. After all, Stella was right, we're about to get divorced.
Looking at her carefree way of showing her love, I couldn't help but feel envy.
She's brave enough to selfishly show that she loves Kylian and was actually going after what she wanted without worry, whereas I had to set a boundary.
What's heartbreaking though, was that despite our differences, we're still the same.
No matter how much we'll love him, he had his fate and the fact that it's none of us would never change.
With all those thoughts rushing into my brain and the pung radiating in my heart, I couldn’t help but feel ridiculous.
It’s unreasonable of me to think about those things, much less feel even a bit jealous.
Not wanting to keep going to that direction I kept running away from, I turned around and attempted to leave.
I had just taken two steps when I heard footsteps behind me. If my guess was correct, Kylian should be the one chasing after me.
I turned my head calmly, only to see Kylian being held by Stella's arm, and then she said something to him like a spoiled baby.
As if under a spell, Kylian immediately stopped and returned to Stella.
Is this your love for me Kylian? !
Anger rushed to my head and my heart was broken. I can't stand it anymore. I felt dizzy, but I turned around and walked away as fast as I can.
But after taking a few steps, my vision began to blur. I tried blinking to no avail, and within a second my vision was completely black.
Before that, I strained to hear if Kylian noticed my condition and came over to me, but I wasn't sure.
