Kylian's POV

As I came back home, I went straight to the bar counter and drank a glass of whiskey in one go.

Pain… Was this was hurt she was before?

My heart was throbbing so bad that I felt like it's being squeeze and suffocating me. I wanted to cry, shout, and even punch something just to vent out all the pain I was feeling.

I was about to drink another glass when it was grasped from my hand. Looking at my side, I saw Henry with a firm expression.

He placed the glass and the bottle far from me before he looked at me straight in the eyes.

"That's enough, Alpha. You're ruining yourself."

"It hurts, Henry… It fucking hurts…" I honestly said while thumping on my chest.

He sat on the high chair beside me and said, "Why… Why don't you just forget Ms. Della, Alpha?"

My breathing hitched at that. Forget her? Was that even possible?

I shook my head and bitterly smile. "She still loves me and I love her. So why will I do that?"

"Henry, listen well. Della and I… We can never be separated. Not by anyone and not even by fate itself! She's my Luna and that will remain the same until my last breath."

I could see how his breathing became heavy as he stood up and slammed the glass of whisky on the counter, breaking it into pieces. Blood dripped from his palm as shards embeeded on his skin, but he wasn't the slightest fazed by it.

"Alpha! Please, wake the hell up! It's over between you! You're only being delusional and ruining yourself in the process!" he shouted. He never done that. I guess I angered him too much.

however, his words pierced through me that I wasn't able to hold myself either.

I stood tall in front of him, and in a gritted jaw, I asked, "Say that again."

"Alpha…" His voice and body inevitably trembled with my Alpha aura.

"Say it!" I shouted as I slammed him on the wall with my hands holding his collar tight.

My eyes were burning with anger as I looked straight into him.

"She doesn't love you anymore, Alpha!"

As if not threatened by my action, he still continued through his clenched teeth, "Anyone who's been falsely blamed and cheated on by her husband will never look back! Wake up, Alpha! She had long get over you! With Prince Jackson and Albert on her side, do you really think you got a chance?"

I raised my arm and was about to punch him. He closed his eyes tightly, trembling.

But halfway through, I stopped.

What he said slapped me hard back to reality. Suddenly, I lose strength and let go of him.

Silent enveloped both of us while we remained silent. It was too silent that all we could hear was the echo of our heavy breaths which was field with frustrations and angst.

"But she's different. Della is not like any other woman out there. She loves me and she will never leave me…" I whispered as I disorientedly shook my head as if it was not Henry I was convincing but myself.

Suddenly, flashes of the past came rushing into me in a flip of secons. I could see her face when she's scared, angry, sad, and thos expressions of hers when I kissed her.

I remembered it all. And those painful expressions on her face were all caused by me.

My heart sank even more. Devastated, I sat down on the high chair, suddenly feeling weak.

"I don't ever want to see that vicious woman again, Henry. Flora… she… ruined it all," I whispered in pain.

"I'm sorry Alpha." Henry took a few steps toward me and tapped me on my shoulder, comforting me.

There were no more words between us as we all had said it earlier. That presence alone were enough to make me know that I'm not alone. But it wasn't enough to make me feel at ease.

I was lost in my own condemption when my phone on the counter suddenly rang. I dejectedly glimpsed at it and saw Della's contact number.

As speed as the lighting, I snatched it and answered the call.

"Della?"

I couldn't believe it! She called me! She actually initiated to call mefirst! "Della! You called!" I said, not being able to hide the excitement in my voice.

Seeing who I was talking with, Henry gave me a nod and a small smile before stepping far on the side, giving me a privacy.

After the call ended, I jumped off from the chair, explicitly in high spirit, as if I wasn't drowning in devastation earlier.

I took huge steps toward Henry and showed him my phone's screen where the call history was in. "Look! See? Did you see that, huh? She called! I told she isn't giving up on us as much as I won't."

"But it seems like Ms. Della is a bit off and–"

"And nothing! Push down your doubts, Henry. I am telling you… Della and I… We'll get back together!"

With a huge smile over my face, I tapped his arm twice before turning my back and calling my butler.

"Alpha," he greeted as he came out of the living room.

"Prepare some clothes for me for a date tomorrow!"

Lowering his head in repect, he replied, "I'll be on it, Alpha."

After he left, Henry stood beside me, look at me for a while, and teased, "Now, that's different. I didn't even saw you dressed up for your ceremony of taking over as an alpha. I never see you this serious."

"Cause I am. She's very precious to me. Now help me and clean have someone clean the garden."

I was about to head upstairs when I suddenly remembered something, "Oh! And ask the chef to cook some delectable breakfast tomorrow and have it served at the graden table! I'll head upstairs now to shave and clean myself up!"

With that, I ran back to my room, filled with excitement.

Halfway through the stairs, I heard Henry said, "You're going all out, Alpha."

"I'll make her see that I am sincere toward her. That my feelings is genuine. I'll make sure she come back to me and that she won't get her again."

Nodding with a proud smile, Henry replied, "I wish you best, Alpha."

I just finished shaving and taking a shower when I heard a knock on the door. Opening it, I saw Henry.

"What is it?"

"I already had someone do your tasks for your date, Alpha."

"Good."

He then took a few steps back and leaned on the railing, looking at me.

I knew that look. "What happened?"

"I have something more to report, Alpha."

Seeing the seriousness in him, I closed my bedroom door and leaned my back against the wall, facing him, "Go ahead."

"We found traces of Margot. We traced it back from where Luna Natasha had set her free. Apparently, Margot is hiding around the mountains. It's just that we can't pinpoint her exact location yet."

That took my attention. My jaw clenched in anger at the thought that Margot almost found someone to rape Della, the woman I love the most. As my sister and a member of my pack, did she take me seriously?

"Have more guards on patrol an bring trackers with you. From now on, held an intense search to capture her. The soonest the better. She might end up doing something far worse if she's not find sooner."

"I'll start a search party first thing in the morning."

After Henry left, I laid down on my bed, intending to sleep but it never came to me.

I couldn't sleep. At most, I only did for an hour or two. I didn't know if it's because of excitement or the immense anxiousness that I was feeling.

Finally, couldn't help the uneasiness in me, I grabbed my phone and texted her early in the morning.  "I'll be waiting for you at the garden."

Seeing the prepared variety of clothes in my room, I smiled. My butler did a great job.

After showering, I stood in front of the mirror, trying different styles; suits, pants and shirt, casual, and so on. I wanted to look best when I see her.

As it was over breakfast, I finally decided to wear a nice denim pants paired with collared shirt and a rubber shoes.

I also fixed my hair, put on my watch, and went to the garden.

Seeing the peaceful ambiance on it, paired with dishes and petals on the table, I felt satisfied.

I was about to take my sit to wait for Della when she came to my line of sight.

Suddenly, it's as though the time stopped. She's wearing a simple pants and blouse and yet she appeared to be much beautiful than she was before.

Damn! How much of a fool I really was before! I couldn't help but curse myself as regret surged over me.

"You're finally here!" I excitedly exclaim as I went closer to her. I attempted to hold her back and guide her to her chair, but she avoided me as if I have some plague.

My heart ached, and I wanted to ask her not to do this to me, but my pride make me couldn't say that.

I could only pretend not to care and put on a good show, quietly retracting my hand from hers, and even showing an awkward smile, trying to lessen the tension between us.

Pulling the chair for her, I signalled with my hand. "Let's eat."

She looked at me for a while before sitting. Afterward, I followed and sat opposit to her.

"Here, have this. I especially asked the chef to cook this. Do you remember when we were–" I was about to reminisce with her, making her remember that in depths of those bad times we shared, there were also good ones.

However, she didn't even let me finish my words as she immediately interrupted me, "Flora. Have you seen her yet?"

Her sudden question caught me off guard. I stared at her for a while, weighing what she meant by asking that.

After some time, I let out a smile, thinking that she's probably still jealous of Flora. I knew that I had to assure her, so I replied, "No, don't worry about her. You don't need to mind her anymore. I already banished her from the pack. She will never come back here nor will she be welcomed to."

All through my words, I kept my eyes on her, making her see that I was being sincere and honest.

Looking intently at me, she asked another question, "Why don't you care wher she is? She's your fated mate; the one chosen for you by  the Moon Goddess. Aren't you even worried about her?"

I didn't know what she meant by her questions or where this conversation was going. Taking a deep breath, I tried to explain, "Flora and I are over. Fated or not, we're no longer together and will never be together again. What happened—"

"Enough of that. I don't want to hear it. I heard that she's in Moon Howlers Pack right now. I thought you should know. And another thing, make sure that the divorce agreement is signed by tomorrow."

After she said that, my world seemed to had stopped.

I thought this was a date… It seemed like it was another break up meeting again; far from what I expected.
