Chapter 20

Della’s POV

My blood instantly boiled, and I trembled in anger as I heard the meaning behind his question.

What? Did he think I was having an affair with Jackson? I'm not like him!

How dare Kylian even have that idea? More importantly, how dare he think he could even be angry if I really have a relationship with another when he, my cheating husband, is the one who first ruined our marriage?

I tilted my head, raised my brows, and stared straight into his eyes as I replied, "My manner of relationship with anyone isn't any of your concerns, Alpha Kylian."

I even respectfully addressed him intentionally, letting him feel the distance between us that had already formed long ago.

Fumes of fury immediately filled his eyes. In a matter of seconds, he had already filled the gap between us with a single stride from his long legs. In front of me, he wasn't even contented and tightly grasped my hand, pulling me toward him.

Then, with pursed lips, he reminded in a dangerous tone, "You are still the Luna of Dark Moon Pack, Della! Don't forget that! You can't do anything to put shame in the pack."

He tightened his hold on my wrist even tighter and added, "You better ask Prince Jackson to cancel this lawsuit in this instant!"

His hold was so tight that I could feel his nails embedding in my side.

He's really a stupid asshole! How come I fell for a man like him?

My chest rose and fell heavily with aggregation as I stared at him with so many negative emotions – pain, disappointment, betrayal, anger, and disgust.

He didn't care whether I was the victim or not if I was hurt or not, or if I had faced injustice. All he cared about was my reputation, which would be tainted and bring possible harm to his precious pack.

Even when I was maltreated in his pack, even if I was pointed fingers at and scolded on the internet, he didn't care about all of it.

All that mattered to him was making sure that the pack's name would be smeared if I continued suing to fight for my rights and the justice I deserved.

What a selfish bastard!

How could he think like that? How naïve could a victim be to give in for such a selfish and nonsense reason? Am I not allowed to protect my rights? Myself?

Was I really that disposable in his eyes?

I huffed silently. "Was I that worthless for him?"

Once all that realization filled my head, I sneered and asked Kylian while my eyes landed on Flora. "So, after Flora stole the necklace and schemed with Margot to slander me online, it's still all my fault?"

My eyes went back on Kylian as I added, "Was that what you want to say? Huh?"

A frown immediately formed on his lips, and he took a step forward toward me. Soothingly, his hand that once gripped my wrist without mercy now gently landed on my shoulder. "Calm down, Della."

What a hypocrite! Calm down? He wanted me to calm down?

His audacity was really beyond my words!

Disgusted, I shook off his hand. Shifting, I looked at him and said, "You calm down!"

Pointing a finger, I added, "You need to face the reality, Kylian! I'm giving you two choices right now. Either Flora and Margot release a public apology explaining the truth, or I'll put your beloved fated mate in jail!"

They already ruined my reputation online and hurt me beyond repair. I can't let them go without receiving the justice I deserve.

Kylian's eyes widened as he stared at me in shock.

Of course, he knew what that action meant. Once the truth was released, everyone would know the truth… that Flora was actually Kylian's mistress, and I wasn't the third wheel like others thought me to be.

"Della, you can't do this!" His jaw clenched, and fire formed in his eyes.

Seeing his aggravation, I couldn't help but let out a sarcastic laugh. Crossing my arms over my chest, I didn't back down and urged, "Make a choice, Alpha Kylian."

I looked at him with intensity, seeing his every reaction as he thought of what he must do.

Once he did what I asked for, my stained reputation would be restored, but it would surely cost Flora and Kylian's reputation. Everyone would know that the alpha of the Dark Moon Pack allowed his mistress to join hands with his sister to bully Luna.

That news would surely stir a louder noise in the media, much worse than the fake news they spread about me.

After all, bullying Luna was an intolerable act for any pack because it stained the authority that Luna naturally possessed, no matter if they were low-born like they thought me to be.

It would be a huge scandal, which is why Kylian couldn't suppress his anger further and growled furiously at me: "Della, do you have to see our pack become everyone's laughing stock before you get satisfied?"

He looked at me with disappointment, which made me scoff with disbelief.

Was I the one who started this? The nerve he pointed a finger at me was really making me speechless.

Pursing my lips, I controlled my anger and told him, "I'm not the one who made the Dark Moon Pack a laughing stock to begin with!"

Kylian opened his mouth to rebuke again, but it was stopped when a loud cry interrupted us.

Flora started crying again, saying, "I didn't mean it! This is all a misunderstanding, Kylian." Looking at Kylian pitifully, she added, "Believe me, I didn't mean anything of this, but…"

She gave me a swift glance that was tainted with mischievousness before she pitifully looked at Kylian again and continued her act as she lied, "But… I didn't expect Luna Della to be so angry that she'll resort to seducing the prince into supporting her even at the cost of humiliating the Dark Moon Pack."

My eyes widened, and my jaw dropped in disbelief. What a manipulative bitch!

"Y-you!" I shouted while pointing a finger at her, totally speechless. I couldn't even describe the anger I was feeling right now as I moved forward to her, ready to pull her hair and teach her a lesson.

However, not even a few steps forward, Kylian pulled me back and stopped me.

He held me on both of my shoulders and warned me, "Stop! Flora is pregnant."

Looking at me with seriousness, he firmly demanded, "You can't hurt her!"

I can't?

My world seemed to stop upon hearing his words, making me stare at him blankly before I asked, with a calm and chilly voice, "I can't hurt her. So… Should I be the one who gets hurt every now and then?"

Kylian flinched upon my words, but it was only a moment before his lips pursed into a thin line again.

Pulling his hands away from me, he spoke again, "You shouldn't have come to the prince with this small matter. You should have come at me directly."

Hearing that, I scoffed and looked at him on the verge of tears. Too many emotions were running through me, and I started feeling overwhelmed. With a trembling voice, I asked, "Don’t you know why I would rather come to find the prince's help rather than let you solve it?"

My heart clenched, and I wanted to crawl into the corner and turn into a ball to relieve my pain, but I remained standing tall and continued despite the tremble in my voice.

I pointed a finger at his chest and said, "Because you, Kylina, you never stood on my side. Not even now!"

Guilt flashed in his eyes, but he only looked away from my eyes filled with pain, saying nothing.

On the side, Flora kept on crying. She reached over the table and begged Kylian. "Kylian, please don't let me go to jail. Please, our child won't be able to handle being there. For our child's sake, please. I'm so scared."

She trembled in fear, then she put her hands down and protectively held her stomach. "I felt sick, Kylian. Just the thought of you not being by my side at night is already giving me pain. Please, Kylian…"

Her cries intensified, which made Kylian purse his lips even tinner, lost in thoughts.

Looking at her acting skills and hearing her lies, I couldn't help but feel nauseous.

I couldn't handle Flora's request any longer, so Kylian faced me and ordered, using his alpha tone, "Release Flora now! I'll make her and Margot apologize publicly as you want, but you first must explain your relationship with Prince Jackson."

He pointed outside where Jackson, as I assume, was still outside.

Taking a deep breath, I motioned for the nearby guard to release Flora. He took a small bow of respect before passing by us and going to release Flora.

As soon as Flora was released, she ran to Kylian's arm and started crying. Kylian patted Flora's back gently to comfort her.

Then, he took her away…away from this place, away from me. And he didn't even glance at me as he put all his attention on her.

Looking at his retreating back, I silently asked, 'Kylian…Is there still space for me in your heart? No… Was there even space for me in there in the first place?'

But before they could leave the room, Jackson bolted in, gave me a quick glance, and looked at Kylian, angrily asking, "Is this how you treat your Luna?"
