Chapter 135

Golden's POV.

Rufina gave me her signature smile. Fangs are peaking through her lips, but that didn't scare me one bit. She has always been proud of them. "I see you doing your laundry, Elaine. I am impressed," she commented while gazing at the girl who's complaining about the organic laundry soap she made.

"This thing is not working," she hissed and throw it on the floor. I smiled from her tantrum. She hasn't changed one bit.

"Just use the regular soap, Elaine. You can use mine if you want. It's a gift from Fiscio." I handed her the soap. It's in a liquid form. I'm sure that she'll like it very much. "Don't put too much. It bubbles like crazy!" I told her.

The latter enthusiastically took the soap from me.

The three of us did our laundry together. We talked about our lives and our future plans. I heard that Lucy or Gregorio in real life is actually a male. Cecilia just named him Lucy because she wanted to tease him. They're together now. Gregorio confessed his feelings for her and they're dating.

"Hahahah! Yeah, I still remember what happened to us that day. Geez. I really thought we're going to end up on jail!" I laughed hysterically while carrying the heavy basket in my hands. I turned my head to the side when I heard a familiar deep voice.

"You look like you're having fun?" he said and smiled at two girls beside me. Damon glanced back at me and to the basket I'm carrying. "I told you that you don't have to do laundry the traditional way, right? Vortaxia accepts human invention now. We have a washing machine at home." He gazed at the two girls. "Let me carry yours too."

Elaine chuckled softly. "Seriously, Damon? You have two hands only. We are three girls in total," she scoffed jokingly. He smirked.

"And who says I can carry one basket in a hand only?" he flaunted.

"Oh, let's see how tough those muscles are, big guy." Rufina smirked seductively at him. I shook my head amusingly. I can still remember the time where she used to hit on him when she was still an ivaw.

Damon carried the heavy baskets like they're nothing and looked at me.

"Let's go."

We're still confused about the mere fact that God Hlaford has been dead for a long time. Nobody knows when and how he died. We just leaned that God Diante is disguising as him. It's still a mystery why God Diante chose to betrayed us. We loved him more than anyone in this world.

Such a pity.

"You're thinking deeply," a familiar deep voice said from behind. I stopped twisting the twigs in my hands to look at Travis. He's wearing his usual human attire.

"So good to see you again. I heard the two of you fought over a can of beer, hahaha!" I said jokingly. He pouted his lips and sit beside me.

He sighed as he stares at the beautiful view before me. I'm on the attic again. The place where I go when I want to have peace. Miracle is sleeping on the room already and Damon is busy teaching the new classes. He's always been so hands on in his job as the Spheria's first dragonian.

"I know that this is not the perfect time to tell you this."

His voice is full of hesitation. I lifted my head to look at him. Travis is still staring at nowhere. I witnessed how he gulped and released a deep sigh. The next thing he said made my eyes grew big.

"I liked you."

"W—What?"

He laughed. "I mean before, but not anymore. You know? We used to be so close back on the club and I think I know why. We're both vortans and even the meanest vortan would agree to that," he added. I smiled when I saw his dimples coming out of his cheeks. "I really thought you're the one for me, but parsenation ceremony hits different. Cecilia was so mean to me, but I managed to tame her because I love her so much."

He looked at me. "I just want to have a proper closure of my feelings for you," he whispered.

My cheeks turned pink. He has always been a good friend of mine, but him liking me never crossed my mind. Hearing all of this from him makes me want to blush.

"Y—Yeah, of course. It's all in the past now. It doesn't matter anymore. Hahaha."

His stare made me feel conscious. He's looking at me like he can see through me. "I really hope I didn't make you uncomfortable. That's the last thing I want to happen to you." I smiled from his sweet talks. One of the things I really liked about him when we were still younger.

"You have something on your face."

My brows arched. I have something on my face? I sheepishly touched my eyes and face. Do I have an eye booger or something?

"I—I do? Where?"

"Here," and he puts mud on my nose. "Hahahaha! Now, you have something on your face."

"Travis!"

Damon was already waiting for me when I got back from our room. I had fruits in my hands and he was putting Miracle to sleep.

"I'm really glad that knot is invented. It's so hard to put her to sleep," he speaks in my mind. I chuckled softly while putting the goods on the table. I looked at him when I heard his footsteps coming to me. "Miracle's birthday is coming. How should we celebrate it?"

I looked at my sleeping angel. She's sleeping soundly on the bed with her cute cheeks poking outside. I smiled. Her birthday is two days from now. It's her 3rd birthday. I really want her to have fun.

"I didn't had a chance to speak with your mother, Damon. How about we celebrate her birthday in a different place? Let's go to Dragonia Kingdom."
