Chapter 114

Golden's POV

Silence filled the house. We watched him pick his phone and check the caller. His brows arched. It must be his source already. He gazed at us in the kitchen.

"Who ordered a pizza?" he asked confusedly.

My eyes grew big. I looked at Elaine who's face is as red as a tomato right now. She sheepishly scratch the back of her head and smiled. "I—I think I did. I was curious because it looked like a cute cherry. I'm sorry!" she said apologetically. I sighed.

Unbelievable.

"For a second, I thought our mission is about to start already." There's a hint of disappointment in Gab's voice. He looked at his parsen and to us. He bowed his head apologetically. "I think she touched the phone when we were talking. I'm really sorry."

I shook my head. "It's all right. Just don't do unnecessary things again. We're not here to do that," I told them strictly. Gab nods his head.

My eyes landed on Damon. He's still staring on his screen.

I blew a sigh. He must have felt flustered about it. He's quite the perfectionist and he hates it when things are going wrong like what Elaine's doing right now. She literally ordered a pizza out of curiosity.

I stood up from my seat to sit beside him. I'm already standing in front of him, but he's too focused on staring at his phone.

"You don't want to melt that phone, right?" I said jokingly and sit beside him. He turned his head at me. I see mixed emotions in his eyes.

"Let it pass this once. Elaine is naturally curious by nature. You know that, right? I'm sure that she won't do that again. Just give her a second chance," I said in a persuasive voice. I think he's already thinking of leaving them behind. They might be troublemakers sometimes, but I'm sure that their genuine intention to help will bear fruits of goodness.

Who knows? We might need a hand in this mission.

"It's not that, baby." I looked at his eyes. He looks a little off. "I received a message after that call. It's from my our actual source. He sent me her schedule already," he explained. I arched my brows.

"Then, that's great. Should we plan the plan now?" I asked.

"No, wait. Take a look at this."

He opens the screen to show me a picture. It's a digital schedule for idols like Gladys Muñoz. I read her schedule for Saturday. Gladys has a talk show shoot at nine in the morning and a photoshoot in the afternoon. She'll only be free at ten in the evening. I glanced at the place where she could be and my eyes widened when I saw Blackhole.

That's a strip club. It has been shutdown several times, but they keep on opening business until they finally received a support from higher officials. Now, no one dares to apply a concern with their dark agendas inside.

Drugs are their main recipe to keep the customers coming back.

"She goes there too?" I gasped. Damon's thin eyes became blank. It's the perfect place to make such crimes like rape. Gladys is taking her crimes on the next level.

"We'll have a change of plans," he said. I looked at his deep green eyes. "We'll have to set her up to makes things go smooth."

*****

"What?!" Gab blurted. I covered my ears when Elaine started giving us reasons why she disagrees with our plan. "That's a terrible idea. I know that she's a pain in the ass and that she deserves to be punished behind bars, but we can't just set up a scene and falsely accused her." Gab's voice sounded desperate. I looked at Damon. He still have those blank eyes plastered on his face.

"Our only goal is to distract them, right? Going further is unacceptable. She has to be punished from the crimes she made. Not the crime that we'll set up for her," Elaine added. I heaved an exhausted sigh. I knew that this will turn tables upside down.

I have no idea why Damon decided to go that far. If you'll ask me? I think it's too much too. We just have to catch her doing bad stuffs and let the world know about that. It's enough to distract everyone. A superstar doing nasty things behind the camera. We don't have to do such things as setting up a scene.

"You don't like the plan?" he asked in a low voice.

Elaine and Gab nodded their heads. I put a cupcake in my mouth silently. I don't want to share any opinions about this. Consider my decision as somewhere in between.

"Golden," he called. I sighed and looked at him.

"W—What?" I asked.

"Tell them what she did to those poor men in your bar. What she did to you as one of the waitress and what she's been doing all her life as a wealthy criminal."

I bite my lower lip. Why does he have to put me on this spotlight. The couple looked at me curiously. Waiting for whatever it is that I'm about to say.

"I met her once on the powder room. She was being so bitchy about a small thing. I thought she's sketchy that's why I decided to spy on her. At first, I thought it'd be just a regular meeting with her colleagues or whatever, but then I saw a passed out man on the table. That's the last thing I saw before she closed the door," I told them. Elaine arched her brows.

"Maybe he's just asleep?" she commented. I shook my head.

"That man later asked us for a CCTV footage inside their VVIP room. But since it's a VVIP room, there are no installed cameras there. He got so upset and cried. When we asked him why. He said that Gladys and her colleagues raped him and told him that she'll send it to his family."

The couple gasped.

"He has a family?!" she exclaimed. I nodded my head. The look of her wanting to defend her vanished in an instant. "What happened after?"

"Well, we told him to ask for the police's help, but he refused. That's how he started ruining his career and the last thing I heard is that he and his wife broke up and he killed himself."

"W—What?" Gab stuttered.

"I know. It was tragic. I will never forget how he cried that night. He was so desperate to find proof and the evidence that he got raped, but nobody believed him. Not even his own wife," I said in a sad voice.

"T—That's unfortunate," Elaine commented.

"That's just one of the reason why we want to teach her a lesson. She killed a person. She ruined not just a life, but a family. Even his children are still carrying the burden of what happened to their family till to this day," Damon added to my words.

"That's why we need your help. We want you to understand that there are more people like her. Those who abused their powers must be punished. She has a capability to make herself clean," I said.

"She plays dirty and so we have to play dirty too."

Gab and Elaine glanced at each other. I can see the hesitation in their eyes. They grew up doing wise and clean things. This must be their first time doing dirty to teach someone a lesson.

Well, this world is a dirty wold just like any other.

"Time is running," Damon said in a flat voice.

I'm getting worried. They've been silent for seconds already. All the things I told them are true. Gladys may not look like it, but she has her ways. Ruining and destroying lives are her favorite. She likes playing people's feelings for she envied them for being contented even if she's a few steps higher than them.

Gladys is nothing, but an unsecured rapists who gets off by ruining happily contended people's lives.

"F—Fine. I'll have to agree with everything you say. The mere fact that she's raping people is already maddening. I can't believe that she's even choosing those who have families. That's just way too off," Gab said. He furrowed his brows frustratedly.

"I agree. Let's teach that daughter of an ivaw a lesson. I'll make sure to strangle her with all my root crops friends!" Elaine said frantically.
