Chapter 104

A month has passed. We trained them thoroughly. Damon and I made sure to teach everything we learned from God Diante. I know that he's proud us as he watch us from above.
"I'm very happy to see them improving," God Columbus said while watching the Chosens train. I looked at him and smiled. If it weren't for his full support, we wouldn't have made this happen.
"Thank you very much for staying with us. We've come a long way because of you," I told him genuinely. He turned his head to look at me.
His orange outfit flashes before my eyes as he raised his hand to pat my shoulder. "The prophecy was never wrong for choosing the two of you. You've done your jobs well. I'm so proud of you."
I smiled. My eyes landed on the field where Damon is currently training the rest of the Chosens grouped to us. Elaine and Gab have been taking these trainings seriously.
You will not believe me if I tell you that Elaine's gift is actually so powerful. She was able to make her own forest accidentally while exploring her gift. It was a surprise. A magical one.
I said my polite goodbye to the God beside me and head inside to bring some drinks. Damon is assigned for the physical teaching and I know that even his dragon stamina has its limit. He must be so tired and thirsty.
Chosens who walked past me didn't fail to bow their heads and greet me. I did the same to them.
I can't believe that it has been already half a year when God Gaviel's bludgeon was stolen. They've been quiet and I'm starting to think that maybe it's because they failed to open his sacred belonging. From what I heard, God Gaviel's bludgeon is secured and protected by the most strongest spell ever. Not even Fiscio can tell.
I was about to turn and enter the dining hall when my eyes caught Travis.
"Hey," he greeted. I stopped walking and smiled at him. He's still wearing his usual outfit. Not much changed aside from his growing stubbles. "You've been very busy lately. Do you even still remember me?" he joked.
"How would I forget you?" I replied. He smiled sheepishly and put his hands in his pocket. I haven't seen him since Cecilia's incident. "So, how are you doing? How's your parsen doing?"
He stared at me for a few moments before heaving a deep sigh.
"Well, actually. She's been nice. I know it sounds unbelievable, but she's been good to me lately. I kind of understand now why she was so bitchy. Turns out she came from a complicated family," he said in a serious voice. I arched my brows and listen silently. "Cecilia opened up to me for the first time. I know that it sounds pervert of me, but I always use my gift to spy on her and see what she's up to. I always see her crying."
The inner corner of my brows slanted upwards. She had a reason.
"I decided to ask her what's wrong and at first, she didn't want to tell me, but eventually, she told me everything," he added. I nodded my head in a comforting manner. Outside the dining hall is not the most appropriate place for this scene, but I know exactly what he feels.
"I'm happy that you finally saw her soft spot," I said. He chuckled shortly and nodded his head.
"Yeah. She actually wants to meet you and apologize personally. Do you have a time for a coffee some other time?" he asked. I smiled sweetly and nodded.
"Sure."

That conversation went well. He offered me help when I told him that I'll get drinks. I said no and I can manage, but he insisted. I ended up bringing him to the field with me.
Damon is here too. He doesn't really like Travis, but I'm sure they'll get along once he knew that he's okay with Cecilia already.
"No, thanks!" Damon growled and snatched the towel from Travis when he tried to help me wipe the stain on my hands and did it himself. I smiled amusedly and just prompted Travis to leave.
"Thank you," I mouthed. He waved his hand goodbye and left.
The sun is already setting. It's been a long day. I'm sure that he's just hot headed because of the hot weather.
"Why are you with him?" he scoffed. Damon took a sip in his cold pixie drink and frowned. "You told me you'd stay away from him."
"Travis and Cecilia are okay already. There's nothing to be jealous about. I told you for so many times that he and I are only friends. He doesn't like me one bit, so stop acting like a kid there," I replied amusedly. He didn't answer and just look away. I know exactly what he wants.
I leaned forward and gave him a kiss on his cheek.
"Mwa!"
His face heated because of that. I stared at his face and chuckled. Even his neck is turning red. He turned his head to look at me.
"Why would you do that outside?" he asked embarrassed. I chuckled and pretended to look around like as if I'm looking for anyone to witness what I did to him. "They might see how deeply in love you are with me."
I landed my eyes back to him and he's grinning mischievously. "Oh, really?" I slurred. He laughed at loud and put a chocolate in my mouth. I was about to spit it out when I saw a servant running to us.
I arched my brows and watched her. Damon followed my gaze and he sees the woman I'm staring at. She's looking at us too. She's here for us.
"Can I help you?" I asked when she stopped in front of us. She breathes heavily and took out a gray paper from her bag. It looks like a newspaper. She handed it to me and I accepted it hesitantly.
She's still gasping for air. She must have ran here in a hurry. I wonder why.
I scanned the paper and it's indeed a newspaper. The bold letters on the front page caught my attention.
'Magic on Asylum'
My eyes widened when I saw a picture of two men and one woman. There are patients in front of them. I know exactly what's happening in here and who are those people. I lifted my head to look at Damon who seemed to be shocked about what he just saw too.
"We were caught on CCTV camera," I murmured. He clenched his jaw and cupped his face.
This is a really big problem. We're not allowed to use powers outside Vortaxia, but we were forced to do so because of what happened to the patients there. They were hypnotized by an amateur Wizardus.
The policeman.
"God Hlaford seen the news on his friend in Earth. People are now suspecting of a parallel world. We have to stop them," the servant said when she finally gained back her breath. I looked at her nervously. "That newspaper is just one in a billion articles wandering all over the world. Scientist are doing their best to find us already."
I mentally slapped myself from doing such an irresponsible behaviour when we were there for a mission. I should have listened to Damon when he said that we couldn't save them. Now, this is happening. We just committed a felony and we're not sure if we can fix this.
"We have to see God Hlaford," he said in a low voice. I looked at him in horror. He will scold us for sure. We had one job and that is to hide our identity, bur we decided to play superheroes and save all the patients.
Now, we're here and doomed. We really have to find a way and fix the messed we've started.
"Let's see him then."
