Chapter 64

Golden's POV

My body is trembling so hard. I tried to hold back my tears but I failed. This is now what I'm expecting to see. I'm not expecting to witness dead bodies!

"D—Damon," I hopelessly called. I have no idea where he went but I hope that he could hear my cry. "Help me." I feel so weak.

I took a quick glimpse of the dead bodies in the well again. I can feel their cold skin touching mine. They're so hard and lifeless and that's suffocating me. How... How can I escape this place?

"You think it's that easy?"

All the hair in my body flinched when I heard a familiar voice. It's a woman's voice. It's my voice.

I lifted my head to look at the opening of the well. There's a woman staring down at me. She has a huge smirk on her face. A line formed in between my brows when she giggled. She seems to be enjoying my pitiful state right now.

"Who are you!" I didn't where I get the courage to yell at her like a lion but I just can't hold my emotions anymore. The dead bodies are making me weak. I can't seem to move even a finger. "Stop this!" I told her. There's a hint of mixed authority and fear in my voice.

She laughed loudly. It sounded so tormenting and abusing. This is what it wants. It wants me to feel fear. It wants me to let myself devour in an abyss of horror.

"Your parsen is dead. Do you want to see him?" she asked. My eyes turned small. What the hell is she talking about?! "Hahaha! Hahaha! Hahaha!"

"Get me out of here! Fight fairly. Don't play me with your dark magic," I growled. My fists turned to a ball. I can't digest her unacceptable statements. No! Damon is not dead. She is trying to fool me. To weakened me!

"Hah!" I yelled as I spike the walls of the well with my sword. My eyes grew big when it starts to bleed. "Holy shit!" I mumbled.

"Arghhh!" she screams in agony and back away from the well. I wasn't trying to hurt it but it seems like that impostor and this well is somehow connected to each other. She reacted when I stabbed the well.

I didn't waste any time and withdraw my sword just to stab it again.

"Argh! Stop you insect!" she screams on the top of her lungs but I didn't care. I flinched when the dead bodies starts to disappear. The cold and lifeless bodies became stacks of sacks.

This wasn't real. This was all an illusion.

"Hah! Hah! Yah! Huh! Hah!" I groaned several times as I kept on stabbing the walls of the well. It starts to bleed uncontrollably and the well is already being filled with blood.

I took the hook and rope in my bag and throw it to the opening of the well. I can hear her crying in pain. She is deeply hurt that she can no longer imitate me.

I smiled when I landed successfully to the ground. She is curled into a ball and seems to fear me more than anything else in this world. So this is what is all about.

Fear.

"Tell me where Damon is before I slit your throat," I threatened. I didn't want to sound merciless and bitchy but we have no time anymore. We have to get back to Fiscio before it gets dark. "Answer me!" I yelled when she remained silent.

I watch her wrinkled blueish true form. She looks like a snail. I hold my sword when she lifted her head to look at me. She smiled weakly.

"I am Grustova. It is nice to meet you, Golden Young," she introduced herself. My brows furrowed. What's with the sudden introduction? How did she know my my name? "You are new in this world and I could tell just by looking at you," she said in a cryptic tone. My eyes turned small.

"Justub hulko."

My eyes widened. It was too late for me to realize that she's just another illusion. I immediately turned my body when she disappeared like ashes.

"Hah!" I groaned as I block her attack. She was standing at my back all this time. "You sly!" I screamed. I pushed my sword deeper in her chest. She starts to vomit a lot of blood but I didn't care.

She asked for it.

"Y—Your parsen is dead," she says weakly. I smiled and lifted my head to labeled with hers.

"No, he isn't. He can't be dead," I said again and twisted my sword making her eyes turned white. "He can't die because he's just here watching us!" I yelled and throw her to the well like how she did to me.

I sighed as I watched her fall harshly with the sacks.

She lay there on her back with her eyes all white. "How do I break this spell," I whispered to myself and look around. I don't see Damon. There are still mirrors but it doesn't reflect me anymore.

He must be here somewhere.

Damon's POV

"No. I feel like there's something sketchy going on," I contradicted. I looked around the place. The mirrors are still mimicking our every move.

This is very suspicious.

"Damon let's just find a way out of here before something came out. We just need to enlarge that hole so that we could fit this entire thing out," she instructed. I'm still glancing around like but all I see is these mirrors mimicking our reflections.

"Let's hurry!" she told me and start to walk to the well. I was about to follow her when I heard someone's footsteps.

I turned my body to look at the moving object but the setting suddenly changed. My eyes turned small. What the hell?!

"Golden!" I called. My view changed as well. I could see myself following Golden from behind but no. That is not me!

I'm inside this fucking mirror!

"Golden!" I called but she didn't seem to hear me. She's checking the well and I could already tell that the guy beside him has a dark plan.

I started banging the glass but nothing happened.

"Watch out! Fuck!" I frustratingly threaded my fingers through my hair. How do I get out of here! Argh!

I literally throw myself to the glass when the impostor pushed Golden to the well but it didn't even make a soind. How do I get out of this fucking place? Fucking fuck!

I glanced around the place. It feels like I'm inside a room. But all I see is my infinite reflection. I'm not just going to watch here and let my baby fight that thing alone. Geez! I'm a pure dragon for a reason for Pete's fucking sake!

That fucking thing is dead once I get out of here.
