Chapter 16

Our dinner went fine and we go back to our own rooms together. Elaine and Gabby were bickering and I couldn't help but laugh because of them. They look cute together. Gabby told me that he can't really dig on someone's past and he just said that to scare Cecilia. It worked though.
I inserted the key and the door disappeared. I waved bye to Bubbles and she happily flew away. I sighed deeply and sat on the bed. "It's been a long tiring night." I whispered to myself. Now that I've eaten, I feel sleepy.
I walked towards the bathroom to have a late night shower. The thoughts of discovering new things made me excited and I entered the bathroom with a huge smile plastered on my face.
I didn't have any trouble distinguishing the toiletries except from the wardrobe. It was hidden and thankfully, I accidentally stepped on the secret tile to open it.
I had a hot shower on my really cool tub. There's a mini fall from there and it felt like having a bath in a pond except that the water is much warmer and the space is more comfortable.
Everything about Vortaxia never fail to amaze me.
Now I'm wearing a much cooler clothing that matches the people here in Vortaxia. It's a long sleeveless white gown that has a sheer on the back that covers my skin a little. I'm also wearing a shimmering gold belt that emphasized my small waist.
I looked cool.
I jumped on the soft bed. I giggled when I bounced back. "This is surreal!" I squeaked.
I laid my back at the bed. I glanced at the bed beside me and pouted. "Will it be vacant forever?" I whispered to myself. I yawned sadly and let myself drift off to sleep.
Damon's POV
The following day.
"Where's your parsen?" Draco mockingly said. I automatically shut my eyes in frustration and closed the book I was reading. I didn't waste any effort to look at him and just walked away.
"How unfortunate can you get little chicken?" He taunted as I walked away from him. I ignored him and walked out of the library. How did he get his ass in there?
Was he lost or something?
Draco Felono will never waste his worthless time in a library. He must have been looking for me all day when he heard that I'm parsenless.
It never happened before in Vortaxia,
And for mossback Vortans like Draco, it's something pessimistic. As much as I wanted to burn his ugly face, I don't want to cause trouble again for Crystal. I'll hold my anger for her. Besides I've got so much more important to do.
I glanced at the book I'm carrying.
It's a book that tackles everything about parsenation. There has something to be in here. Something that could help me. I can't just sit back and wait for my parsen to get snatched by some filthy Chosen.
I inserted the key on the room and went inside immediately. Dragunus, the God of Dragonia, heard about what happened to me and a day has passed but I still get no update for whatever plans he has. Draco's father, Lucio, was Dragunus' close friend. I heard that Lucio was a really good dragonian.
He sacrificed his own life for the sake of our kingdom and I still don't get it how and why his son became what he is today. He's a complete opposite of his father and he's a smug.
I sat on my study table and opened the book. There's a lot of pages to read, I opened the table of contents and my pupil dilated when I saw the words written on page 88.
"A Parsenless Vortan." I mumbled.
I flipped the pages immediately and my face falls when I saw the tear page. It has been ripped off completely. If I'm not mistaken this is the last copy of the book in our library. I hissed in frustration.
It looks like someone had ripen it off intentionally.
But why?
"Damon."
I startled when the door suddenly opened and a familiar deep voice called me. "Lord Dragunus." I stand up and bowed slightly at him. I offered him a seat and he gladly accepted my invitation.
"What brings you here?" I asked.
He does looks so intimidating. He transforms in to a magnificent light dragon by the way.
"I apologized for the intrusion." He said. I smiled lightly and shook my head.
"It's nothing really. To be honest I've been waiting for your visit." I responded. He smiled apologetically at me. His bludgeon caught my attention when it sparked.
"Do you have a guest to whom could be your parsen?" He asked. My jaw hardened from his words. Should I tell him the truth? I could get punished so as Golden.
"Don't hesitate my child." He encourages. I smiled tensely and bit my lip.
"I felt the connection towards a Chosen."
I was hesitant but I managed to say it uninterruptedly without a crack and lisp. I was waiting for his soft expression to change and become frantic. And it did change...
His face shows relief. Which is very far from my expectation. Isn't he supposed to be furious about the news I've just told him?
A Dragonian and a Chosen as parsens is a big joke in Vortaxia. No different race shall conjoin. Even I would think it's pathetic but unfortunately I'm the guy wearing the shoe.
"Golden Young, a Chosen from Spheria happens to be parsenless too." He said. My pupils dilated and my heart started pounding. "I believed she's the Chosen you're talking about." He added.
I nodded continuously. Golden is parsenless too?! I knew it.
I fucking knew it!
"Take your ivaw with you. We're heading to Spheria."
Golden's POV
I forcely opened my puffy eyes and yawned. I stretched my arms on the bed. I moaned when my joints snapped. "That felt good." I mumbled. I sat on the bed and squinted at the bright balcony on my left.
I smiled and walked towards the balcony. I wondered what Shperia looks like in daylight.
My face automatically lightens up at the beautiful view I saw. The sky is blue and bright and below is a village where Chosens are busy doing their own businesses.
I glanced at a Chosen watering the plants with her finger tips. Beside her is another Chosen manipulating the plants with her right hand.
"This is so cool." I muttered. There are children floating in the air and flying a thing that looks like a kite. The difference is it moves like a real living thing.
I smiled and hold the railings in the balcony. I glanced at the flower pot sitting at the corner. I heard that plants should be watered in the morning and in the afternoon. Should I give it some drops?
I winced when I heard several knocks at the door. It must be Elaine. She must have come here to remind me about watering her root crop.
I fixed my wavy hair a little and opened the door.
"Good morning Elai--"
I was caught off guard when I saw the man standing in front of my door. My eyes widened and my heart started pounding.
"D-Damon?"
