Chapter 9: Hunter's Rage

1344words
Ramona sat slumped in the corner of the hospital room, her face was deathly pale, her body was limp, and her heart was filled with deep disappointment. All his plans, which had been so carefully planned, were now shattered. His high hopes of getting money for a suitcase, fired from Belinda's mansion and Hunter, expelled from Malta, are now blown away. In fact, the image of herself being fired with insults and insults from Belinda is no longer just a hallucination, but the worst image that will not happen.

Ramona felt as if the world was collapsing around her. Everything was running far out of his control. All the well-thought-out plans—to incite Belinda, to get help in escaping from Hunter—were all nothing more than an illusion shattered in the blink of an eye. He felt like he was trapped in a labyrinth with no way out. Every step he takes, which should bring hope, instead brings destruction.

The shadow of the drama he watched so often, about the woman who got the money for her suitcase after revealing her pregnancy, about the warning from the mother, about the fear Hunter would follow her—all of this now felt like sheer nonsense. No money toss, no anger, not even Belinda's warning to stay away from Hunter as she had hoped for didn't come out of Belinda's mouth. What exists is the happiness reflected on Belinda's face after hearing her pregnancy confession.

Belinda, who should have been angry and disappointed, instead showed an unexpected attitude—happy, even very happy, when she heard that Ramona was pregnant with Hunter seeds. Ramona couldn't understand how that could have happened. Why did Belinda accept everything so much? Why did the woman look relieved and happy, while Ramona hoped to build a bridge to get out of her trouble? Why was there no question or even disgust on Belinda's face when she found out that her son had impregnated a lowly maid like her?

"Why do I regret my act of pretending to be poisoned earlier? It would have been better for me to die in my room if I had to accept this reality, why should I bother asking the doctor to buy time to keep Hunter out of my room while I confessed honestly to Mrs. Belinda? I must have gone crazy," said Ramona, ruffling her hair in frustration when all her plans really didn't go according to her plan.

Ramona stared at the door of her room, guessing what Belinda was doing right now?

"After hearing my pregnancy confession, what did the lady do?" muttered Ramona with a very high curiosity.

Ramona came down from the safe to check on the situation outside, before Ramona had time to open the door, someone from outside opened it roughly.

Hunter with a sharp and red gaze looked at Ramona, "Are you crazy? You did it on purpose to gain my advantage?" asked Hunter, gripping Ramona's neck tightly.

Ramona looked at Hunter with a hateful gaze, the voice of anger and despair was clearly heard in his voice. "You think I'm willing to be with you?" said Ramona in a sharp tone, her eyes filled with fire of anger. "I did this play just to be able to get away from you! Why should I be blamed for all this? Blame your mom for being happy after hearing about my pregnancy!"

Ramona felt like every word she spoke seemed to pierce the air around them, trying to shake Hunter's increasingly terrifying calm. He knew his words were getting angrier and angrier. There was no way out for him, only anger was burning more and more inside Hunter's chest.

Hunter's already fiery red eyes, as if split by deep anger, stared at Ramona fiercely. Hunter's large hand gripped Ramona's neck so strongly, making Ramona's breath feel suffocated and almost unable to get out. The desire to reply to Ramona's words with even worse echoed in her heart.

"Stop this nonsense!" Hunter's voice seemed to echo in the room, full of threats. The tension in the air was so thick, as if every second brought a worse disaster. Hunter's face was so close to Ramona's, as if he was ready to finish it off in the blink of an eye. Hunter's hateful face further showed that his feelings for Ramona were nothing more than disgust and anger that was increasingly difficult to control.

Hunter stood with a firm body, his face hardening when he heard Ramona's words so defiant. "If you're not stupid, you can just abort your womb, then I'll let you go," Hunter said in a cold tone, as if speaking to someone who was nothing more than an object in his life. "Why do you have to act crazy like this?" he continued annoyed, his eyes staring sharply at Ramona who was trying to let go of his grasp.

However, Ramona was not afraid. With all the strength left, he tried to knock Hunter's hand off his neck, feeling angry and desperate. "Until when will I not abort my womb!" shouted Ramona in a hateful voice, exhaling a rage that she could not hold back any longer. "I will give birth to her into this world well and take care of her herself without the need for your figure!"

His words triggered an even worse reaction from Hunter. His eyes lit up red, his face even more sinister with a sarcastic smirk engraved on his lips. "Oh, so you chose to give birth to this world?" asked Hunter in a tone full of mockery, as if he didn't believe Ramona's decision. "Well," he continued with a devilish smile that showed his cruelty, "since you have dragged me into your lowly life, I will make you feel hell in the real world."

With one swift and furious movement, Hunter turned around and left the room, leaving Ramona in deep solitude. Ramona was silent, her breath was heavy, trying to ease the tension in her body. All of Hunter's words echoed in his mind, making his heart ache and full of confusion. What will he do next?

With a deep sense of frustration, Ramona sat limply on the sofa, her eyes blank, her body weak as if falling in the dark. "It's crazy and painful," he muttered hoarsely. There is no obvious way out. He wants to be free from Hunter, wants to live away from everything. But what about his mother? His mother was still in Hunter's hands.

Ramona squeezed the edge of the sofa, feelings of irritation and anger swelling up inside her. "Well," he said in a quiet but determined voice, "I'll do the same to you. You will feel what karma is from a woman." Her words sounded threatening, and although Ramona's heart was broken, she knew it was the only way to survive in the cruel world created by the Hunter.

Hunter Anger

Even when Ramona begged for help to escape from the Hunter, Belinda showed a face that was much different from what she had imagined. Angry, not because of her pregnancy or because Ramona tried to escape, but because Ramona dared to face her with such a request. Belinda feels betrayed and disappointed by Ramona's attitude that continues to twist fate according to her own wishes.

Everything Ramona had imagined about her role in the story—of herself being the woman who was eventually given money, or protected from Hunter—turned out to be a mere fantasy. He felt more and more trapped, and more hopeless to get out of the situation he had created himself. Belinda's decision to not only forgive, but accept and even support Hunter, was the final blow that made Ramona feel so frustrated and almost desperate.

Now, all that was left was silence and a feeling of loneliness echoing within him. There is no drama, no way out. There was only failure that enveloped every thought and plan he ever had.
