Chapter 142: You not my family

I may have been drunk, but I knew I wasn't seeing things. My mother and little brother were standing in my kitchen in the middle of the night and I had no idea why. Neither of them were welcome, yet here they were.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" I growled.
"Nice way to speak to your mother, Son."
"Don't call me that," I spat. "I haven't been your son since I was fourteen years old. You don't have the right to call me that anymore. You two need to get the fuck out of my house. Right fucking now."
My blood boiled with their presence and I couldn't take it anymore. Seeing them all these years later made something snap inside of me that I hadn't felt in a very long time: pure hatred. I never thought I'd see either of them ever again, yet here they stood.
"Your sister called us for our help. We're not going anywhere," my mother stated.
My brows shot up at her revelation. Dakota wouldn't have called them if they were the last fucking people on earth. She knew better than to do something stupid like that. "Dakota called you? For what fucking reason? To be disappointed like always? You two can't do anything for her. You never have."
"That was in the past!" My mother screamed. "Or have you forgotten what second chances look like?"
I threw my head back and mockingly laughed at her. "Second chances? I've tried to give you a thousand. As far as I'm concerned, neither of you fucking exist to me. Now get the fuck out of my house before I call the cops on you."
Diego stepped up to our mom and gently nudged her along. "Let's go, Mom. It's clear he's drunk and out of his fucking mind. We'll come back tomorrow."
"The hell you will!" I shouted. And who the hell does he think he is throwing the fact that I'm drunk in my face?! This was a rare occasion and something I didn't owe him an for.
The two headed toward the front door without another word, but not before his mother turned her glare on lynn and studied her with narrowed eyes. She shifted in her spot and looked away as if she shouldn't have made eye contact with her. It made me uncomfortable as all hell, but I could only imagine how it was worse for her.
Once the front door closed, I turned my gaze to lynn and took a deep breath. I didn't blame her for kissing my brother. In the dark, he probably looked a lot like me. It wouldn't have been the first time something like that had happened.
"You okay?" I asked lynn.
She slowly nodded her head before she stepped away from luis and came up to me. "Are you okay?"
I blew out a breath and leaned against the counter. "This definitely wasn't what I was expecting to come home to. I'm so sorry."
She snorted when i spoke. "What do you have to be sorry for? You didn't know." She pressed her hands against my chest and leaned against me. "You really are drunk, aren't you?" Her giggle echoed around me and I couldn't help but smile. "Is this why you didn't answer my calls?"
Calls? My brows furrowed at her as I tried to recall when I had gotten a call from ly n. I didn't have any missed calls that I knew of, but to be fair, I was shit-faced drunk before all of this went down. It was sobering when I walked in and saw Diego's nasty lips on Lynn's. The rage that pumped through me instantly sobered me up.
"I may or may not have been talked into going out drinking nearly all day long."
"That was entirely Lane's fault," luis piped in. "I told Drake to sleep it off but he insisted on coming home after a few hours in his room."
"And it's a good thing I did. Who knew what Diego might have tried to pull if I hadn't come home." The thought alone made me want to punch something. Diego was a sick son of a bitch and I knew that he'd have forced himself on lynn if I hadn't walked in. But I couldn't think about that right now. "You're okay?" I asked again.
"I'm better now that you're home. I was worried sick about you."
I grinned as I held her tighter to my chest. "I love it when you get worried about me. I love it even more when you get all possessive over me, lynn. You should know that I was a good boy this weekend and didn't even look at another woman in that way. You've completely ruined me in the best way, babe."
She pressed her hand to my forehead as she laughed. "I think the alcohol is working again. Are you feeling okay? You're not normally this open, Mr. Hudson."
I laughed. "Maybe not, but you should know how much I fucking adore you, Lynn Tuffin. You should take me to bed now and take full advantage of me."
"Aaaaand that's my cue," luis sang behind lynn. "Goodnight, love birds. I'm going to take the spare bedroom and probably hold a glass to the wall."
My laughter filled the kitchen as I actually pictured luis leaned up against the wall to hear us fucking. He was a dirty little bitch, but I loved him for it.
"The air vent works better," I suggested before lynn playfully slapped my chest. "What? I was just trying to be helpful."
"Goodnight, luis. I need to get my very drunk boyfriend upstairs to bed before he invites you to join us."
"Ooo, now that's an interesting idea," I joked, but when I looked up at luis his mouth was wide open. Uh oh. "I was fucking joking, man."
He pouted. "Boo, you whore." Then he winked and sauntered out of the kitchen.
Lynn chuckled against my chest before she placed her chilled hand on my cheek.
