Ciara's POV
This is the moment of our life and it is our last night in Surigao and tomorrow early in the morning, we will go back to Butuan City. We were just bathing in the very fresh and warm seawater.
My grandmother's birthday is the best one yet! Maybe, it was because my parents and everyone I love are with me, together, and now we are all complete, which is what I prayed before for so long.

Until now, we have been swimming at night, but who cares? We're enjoying our night out! We can do what we want, even my parents are swimming with us and I can see that they are so sweet together. I didn't see them being sweet before, of course, they are always not around.
"Wow, these lovebirds are so sweet," my uncle Derek joked toward my parents. For him, it was also the first time he saw my parents so sweet.
Dad just laughed at him, "Wow, you tease me so much! Just look at you, little bro, it looks like you're so scared of losing your wife by hugging her neck so close."
We just had fun and Shan and I thought of going up with my friends. I took Grandpa's guitar and we sat down where they lit a campfire.
I started strumming the guitar with all my heart and Shan cuddled with me. The twins also sat next to Shan at the same time.
There is a song that came up in my head and that's the one I sang,

I know you don't pay attention
I'm just here
Waiting to be loved
Hope not even now

You will also notice
You will also notice
I was surprised when Patrick suddenly sang the next part of the song,
I know you can't see
I'm just here
I'm always waiting for you
Hope not even now
You will also find
Will also be found
Suddenly the whole group sang and even me, enjoying our lives,
When the time comes
Maybe you and me too
Maybe my heart is beating
Be your heartbeat
I hope that happens
Even not just now
Hope you love too
When the time comes
I thought of another song because that song seems very solemn and very broken, we should just be very happy here, right? After all, this is a celebration.
"Can I borrow the guitar," Patrick asked so I gave it to him. I didn't know he knows how to play not until he began to strum the guitar,
You look like Paraluman
When we were young
And how great you danced
Like Boogieman or Cha-Cha
But the favorite
You are dancing 'El Bimbo'
Shocking, entertaining
Hair-raising
Recovery from school
Will be directed to you
And you teach me all day long
We all looked at each other and held hands and sang at the same time:
We hold hands
And unconsciously
That you taught my heart
To fall in love truly
La la la la, la la, la la, la la la
We hold hands
And unconsciously
That you taught my heart
To fall in love truly
We were just singing when suddenly my dad called out to us and invited us to drink with them. My dad knows that I drink before and I would have liked to drink, but of course, I know that Shan would not allow me to.
I'm not worried about Shan, too because I know that he doesn't drink alcoholic beverages, of course, Mr. John Anderson forbids them, especially since his wife and his sister are here with us.
The only ones drinking were my uncles, my guy cousins, uncle Derek, uncle John, which he also drink too, Uncle Quinn, and some of some bunch of their friends.
Patrick, on the other hand, obviously likes to drink, so he gave back the guitar to me and joined with them. My mom, Mrs. Anderson, and Auntie Giselle went inside and made sure they were having a good time chit-chatting. I know they were really good friends way back before.
I looked at Shan and held his hands, "Let's go over there," I pointed out at the side of the beach and he just nodded so we both stood up. We told Faith that we will be gone for a minute and they agreed.
We sat on the side and looked at the very beautiful moon, "Isn't it the moon so beautiful?"
"It's so beautiful," I looked at him and my cheeks blushed slightly when I noticed he was staring at my face.
"What's beautiful? Me or the moon?"
He smirked, "Of course, the moon," he said and looked at the moon in the sky, "But the woman I love so much is more beautiful than the moon."
"Come on, stop on joking," I just laughed and shook my head, "Don't you really want to drink with them? I mean, your dad is drinking too."
He shook his head, "I don't want to drink. Dad didn't teach us how to drink so I wouldn't. Also, why do you always pressure me to drink? You're a bad influence."
"Nothing. I'm just asking," I said.
"Oh, maybe you just want a drink? Am I right or wrong?"
My eyes widened and I shook my head, "No, I know you don't want to."
"It's good then," he just said and put his arm around me, "Babe, do you know that your voice is really beautiful? You really make me fall in love with you more and more!"
I pinched her nose, "You're really cute, baby! I've had a beautiful voice for a long time and you know that."
"You also inherited being a musician from your dad," he said, "He loves music and is good at playing. I wouldn't know about that if you hadn't told me about the band. Why didn't you tell me that before? I mean, we're best friends since then, right?"
"Well, maybe because I was so shy about it and then suddenly I had the courage to join. It's a pity, if there were more darts, I would have had sports I'm at school."
He nodded, "Yeah. Anyway, the next day we'll enroll for the second semester."
"Okay, I hope we're all still in class. It's so much fun when we're all still together."
"Yeah, I hope so," he said, "Sir Justine posted a while ago that they will make a block section, they don't want to change sections to be crowded."
"Really? That's a shame. What if you're an irregular student, right?"
"Yeah," he said and looked into my eyes. His eyes are so warm, full of love, and I can hear his lips says to kiss him. I looked into his pinkish lips and back into his eyes as he leans closer to me.
I closed my eyes and I can feel his warm breath, the real scent of his breath. I still closed my eyes as his lips crashed into mine. I saved the moment and as our lips parted, I kept staring at his brown-sparkling eyes, yearning for more.
He caressed my face, fixed my hair blocking my face, "I love you so much, Ciara Rose Jones."
"I love you more, Shan Ralph Anderson. You will always be in my heart, no matter what happens," I said when he suddenly kissed me again.
I don’t know how long that lasted as long as I know we were both chasing our breath. He lay down so I also lay down on his arms. I don't have a heavy head so that's okay.
"You know what, babe?" he was speaking so I looked at him, "I never imagined we would end up like this."
"Me either," I said, "I thought I will just be your best friend forever. Or worst, we'll break up being a best friend."
He turned to me with mixed surprise, "How did you say that?"
"Wow, have you forgotten what happened?" I joked, "We've been fighting because of Julie. It's good that despite everything, we're still getting along and you've come to your senses."
He laughed and hugged me even tighter, "But if it wasn't for that fight, I wouldn't realize that you are the woman of my dreams and the woman I love so much."
"Aww, I'm very touched babe," I said jokingly but in fact, I was very thrilled. It was just like the first time I felt this way towards him.
We didn't realize the time and how long we had been flirting there and talking when Patricia suddenly appeared, "Hey guys, let's go and help us," she told us and she sighed, "Patrick is so drunk. he's a total KO."
"Knock-down? Wait, what time is it? How long we have been staying here?"
"It's almost 2 AM. I'll take care of it first. It's been a while since I've seen him so drunk. Well, yeah he drinks, but he doesn't really been so drunk like now."
I just laughed and Shan and I stood up before returning to the place where we found Faith and Patrick. Patrick looks funny now that he's sprawled on the floor. Patricia added that he had been vomiting just now.
"Patrick's too heavy," Patricia complained. Alas, poor Patrick really.
Shan thought of dragging it into our room. No choice but to drag it while Patrick was lifeless lying on the floor.
We found Aunt Giselle and mom inside talking. When they saw us they were still wondering why we were pulling and there they saw Patrick being dragged, lifeless.
"Oh God, this kid. What happened? He's so drunk," Aunt Giselle said while laughing.
"Yeah, I'm not really used to that," replied his very basher twin.
"I'll help you with that."
Aunt Giselle and my mother helped us with the pulling until we succeeded and we were able to lay him in his place in our room. We didn't put him on the bed anymore and just laid the sheets and foam pillow on the floor. Pulling him is so tiring, as I expected. I have seen at our side, Julie is now asleep.
"It's better to put some cold compress to him. Come on, there's a lot of it," said mom, and Patricia and Faith followed her.
"Wait, I'll just get something from outside," Shan said and stood up to go out.
I looked at Patrick and I just adjusted his blanket when he suddenly moved and said, "Why is that? T-the pain is still there. Whatever happens ..." I was surprised by this and I didn't quite understand because I was drunk.
He was drunk, I saw more tears dripping from one of his eyes and I waited for the next thing he would say, "I love you ..... Ara."
Huh? Ara? Is that a woman? Well, of course!
So, does he like or love that Ara? I was going to talk to him even though he was drunk but Shan came inside so I thought of approaching him and kissing him on the cheek, "I love you."
He smirked slightly, "My baby's sweet. I love you more."
He was about to kiss me when the door suddenly opened and Patricia and Faith came in and I knew they saw that so the two smiled, "Hey, we saw that."
"Don't make any noise there," Shan said and took the little towel they were holding and just put it on Patrick and cleaned him.
Then we sat on the beds and just talked, "Don't forget, okay? The next day we'll enroll."
“In short, tomorrow. It's Sunday and we'll go home later," said Faith.
"Of course," I said when I remembered, "Does Patrick like girls? I mean, he's gay, right?"
Patricia looked at me, "He loves someone now? I don't know," she said and thought, "He hasn't told me anything either."
"Because he was talking earlier when he was sleeping. He mentioned Ara," I said and they seemed to be thinking about Ara's name.
Patricia shook her head, "Oh, I don't recognize anyone who is Ara."
I just shrugged, "Maybe I'm just imagining it. I don't really understand him. You know, he's very drunk right now."
"It's the first time I've seen him so drunk," Patricia said, "Yeah, I know he's really drinking but I've never heard of him being knocked out so much."
"Maybe it's just innovation," Shan said.
"Maybe that's why," said Faith and turned to the window where the drinkers were clearly visible, "I can't believe my brother, John! He's getting more and more drinking, he's not used to it."
"Let him be, he only drinks once in a while," Shan said and lay down on the bed.
"Let's go to sleep and maybe we'll be early later."
