“Welcome to the Red Moon Forest! Let's enjoy our camping!” the officer said while holding the microphone.
I turned my gaze to the person who was standing beside me.
“Glad that you're here!” Yuan greeted. He smiled at me.
“We will start to count the players, so we can divide the tent for all of us!” they announced. The students become excited.
After a few moments, the counting was already done. Since we are 25 players, there are 5 tents.
Then 5 people in each tent. We can decide who we want to be shared with other people in one tent.
We talked about it and we chose Yuan, Yoru, Hailey, and me. I saw another person who was smiling at me.
His gummy smiles and plumpy cheeks.
“Hello! My name is Jihan! My Master is Yoru, I didn't know that he never introduced me to you, nice to meet you!” the boy said.
He was sitting beside Yoru. Some of the officers were walking around and they are checking if we are complete and safe.
“You can call me if there's something wrong, or one of you is in danger, do you understand?” the officer asked me while standing in front of me.
I nodded as a response. Our team is completely listening to the discussion. I think they will put some traps? To alarm them if someone is going to pass on the line.
The line indicates where we can move or walk. We are allowed to step out when it's all about the game.
“Please be cautious about your actions! All of you have different minds, please think about the consequences if some of you do the wrong things.”
Yoru was looking at me. He was staring directly into my eyes without saying any words. I noticed that he blush when I glanced at him.
I raised my eyebrow and shrugged my shoulders.
“Miss Astrid, how old are you? Do you have plans to do in here?” the boy questioned once again.
He's Jihan, he has monolid eyes, a button but pointed nose, light skin, and the hair fade less sharp than the classic fades, much allowing the longer length of hair on the top.
It's wavy, and soft because the wind can move the strand of his hair.
He was taller than me, but Yoru was taller than him.
“I'm planning to plant trees,” I answered. He chuckles, and he turned his gaze on Yoru.
“Alright! That's a great plan, what else?” he asked once again. His eyebrow arched and his forehead was wrinkled.
“I don't know?” I said. I stood up and bring all my things inside the camping tent. It's enough space for 5 people.
Hailey and I will lay on the left side, while the boys will lay on the right side. We will put a thing between us to separate us from them.
I went back in their direction. They are sitting on the ground and forming a circle. They are talking to each other.
Hailey is sitting beside Yuan, while Yoru and Jihan are on the other side. It's not round, actually.
“So, what's the agenda?” Jihan asked while looking at me. I shrugged my shoulder and sits between Hailey and Yoru.
The officer walked in our direction. “Please be ready, we are going to have a meeting later, we will announce the things that we need to do in here,” he said.
I nodded my head. The officer wanders his eyesight. After a few minutes, he walked away from us.
“Listen, I don't want to force you to believe in me, but I know the next game,” Jihan whispered.
Yoru glanced at him with a death stare. He awkwardly laughed.
“Spill the tea,” Hailey said while grinning. She was holding Yuan's arm. I move forward because I don't want to touch her skin.
She was sweaty, and her skin was oily. However, she keeps on touching his arm. I glanced at Yuan.
His facial expression shows that he didn't like what Hailey was doing.
He was slowly moving away, but Hailey keeps moving in his direction.
“Anyway, the next game is called water gun strike, I don't know the other instructions, but 25 students will be a player, it will be divided into two groups, red and blue, then each group should contain twelve players.”
He cuts his word when an officer walked all of a sudden.
“What are you doing? Please have some distancing because each of your heads was near to another.”
The boys looked at each other, while I'm sitting comfortably and acting normally.
“We are talking about our next strategy when it comes to groupings,” Jihan stated while smiling innocently.
The officer didn't reply. He disappeared from our sight.
“Alright, let's continue, since there will be going to have one student that will be going to be a gold, which is the person who needs to be protected by each group,” Jihan continued.
We heard a strange noise echoing in the whole forest.
“Calling the attention of all the players from our school, please proceed to the first meeting place when you arrived here.”
After those announcements, the strange noise echoed once again.
I stood up and wipe away all the dirt that sticking on my clothes.
“Let's go!” I excitedly said while offering them a hand to help them to stand up.
They are just looking at my palm. After a few moments, an awkward sensation crawled to my body.
It Feels Like, they are shaming me on the public. It's just my hunch, anyway, I should be thinking about positives and I should be productive today.
Luckily, a man stood up while smiling at me. “Let's go!” He grabbed my hand and he walked in front of me.
It was Jihan. After a few minutes, we arrived at the site where the players were gathered. They are mumbling or whispering to their team.
“Please fall in line, we are going to group you into two groups,” the officer announced while holding a mic.
There are a lot of speakers. Yoru face us suddenly.
“Listen, we are going to fall in line, but we are going to alternate our line, for example, Yuan is in the first area, then someone should be next, it should be not from our group, do you understand?” Yoru instructed.
Hailey shook her head. “Okay, let's say, Yuan is in front of the line, the next player should be from another group, for example, that girl–” Yoru paused.
He pointed to the other girl who was standing beside the speaker.
“Then, after that girl, I'm the next, then another person not from our team, do you understand?” Yoru asked once again.
Hailey was just looking at him. Yoru scratched his nape.
“Please fall in line now, we are going to group all of you into two, so we can proceed to the next game!” the officer said again.
We moved quickly and that's what I did. I waited for someone to go in front of me, and another person behind me.
My eyes widen when Hailey went in my direction.
“Hey, what are you doing here? You should go behind the man at the back,” I whispered.
“There should be a gap between us,” I continue while gently pulling her into the different areas.
She hissed. “ I don't want to go there! Plus, I don't even know them,” she raised her voice while arching an eyebrow.
She should be on the other side if she didn't want to go behind the man at the back.
“Then go to the other side,” I suggested. She rolled her eyes and I step backward when she is going to step on my foot.
She's now in front of me. I took a deep breath and decided to ignore her.
“Since the players are now formed a line, please go to the other side alternately, for example, the president, vice president and I, the secretary, the vice president is going to the other team,” the secretary instructed.
They are showing us on what will we going to do.
“Every middle people should exchange their positions and team, do you understand?” the officer asked.
The players agreed. The music started and the players are moved.
I'm watching their movements while waiting for my turn to exchange teams. I noticed that Yuan, Yoru, and Jihan were in the same line.
That means they are going to be the permanent team for this game.
They are in front of me, that's why it's their final position. Now I know why did Yoru was advised to switch our position.
In the end, they are going to be a team. How did he know that the groupings will be alternate?
I shrugged my shoulder.
My eyes widen when I'm not able to move. I forgot that I'm at the end, and we are only 25 players, in short, I don't have a team.
“Everyone! It seems we have an important person!”
The crowd creates different noises. “We should toss a coin, so we can identify for her team to defend her!”
