I'm inside of the car. Yuan emailed me that he sent a car to fetch me and accompany me to their house.
We are in the middle of the forest, it's like a long path with trees and bushes. The driver looked at the rearview mirror.
I gasped when I saw his stares. He was just scanning my personality through my eyes. I forced a smile to ease the tension.
My heart is pumping like I was running away from the monster. “Uhm, Sir? Where are we going?” I asked just to break the awkward silence.
It's like a joke for me because I got inside of the car without knowing where is the location. I took a deep sigh and looked at the sky.
The color of the sky is blended with white and yellow, orange and gray. The sun is about to fade away for a few hours.
“My master told me to fetch you from the shop, and he told me to drive you to their house, it's my duty, don't worry, you are safe,” he stated.
His voice was calm and solid for me to hear those words.
“Uhm, if you don't mind, can I know your name?” I whispered wondering of what he would react.
The silence is too loud. He keeps staring at the road while holding the steering wheel. “I choose not to answer your question, please allow me,” he said.
I arched my eyebrow for a while and my shoulder automatically slumped down. I can't force him to answer it.
Yuan sent a message to me once again, “You are safe with him, please be comfortable, after a few minutes, you will arrive at our house, come and find me at the dining hall.”
My eyes widen when I read his messages. My mind is creating some images. Some of the features of their house, what does it looks like, and how huge it is.
My imagination tells me that it was like a palace with different designs of stones in the front yard.
A wide range of flowers, trees, and bushes. Some different types of stones and a fountain.
After a while, the car stopped in front of the huge gate. It's automatically opening when it detected the motion of their car.
“We are here, Miss Astrid, this is their house, please be aware and be careful, all of the things are expensive and it has sentimental value for them,” the driver warned me.
I'm completely flying in my thoughts, it's a beautiful palace! Huge curtains, fountains, bushes and trees, everything!
The driver went down and he open the door of the car. He helps me to get out and guides me to the front door.
The door is big, and when you stand in front of it, you would think that it's a door to other dimensions.
I chuckled because of my thoughts. The door automatically opened and when I looked inside the palace, the people are lining up at the side.
They are wearing a black and white uniform with white gloves, headbands, and black ribbons. Maybe they are the helpers or maids?
The man who was wearing a black polo with black slock pants saluted to me. “Our master was waiting for you, follow me and I will bring you to him,” he stated.
I nodded and smiled at him. I couldn't say a word, I'm still in the middle of amusement.
He walked towards the right side. The floor has a carpet. I secretly glanced at my shoes, it's embarrassing if my shoes are dirty and I'm walking to their carpet.
I know, it's hard to clean and it takes time to dry it.
After a few steps, we reached the dining hall. There's a long and large table in the middle with different sizes of plates and utensils.
I looked at their ceiling and found out that they have some elegant chandeliers, its designs were shining like there's an expensive stone.
Well, It's not impossible. I glanced at every corner of the area, it's thrice as big as our room in the school.
You can place multiple beds and tables in normal sizes. My eyes stop at the person who was sitting in the middle of the long table.
“Now, please walk and talk to him, feel free to ask anything if needed, you can go, Miss Astrid.”
My head turned in his direction. “Thank you, Mister!” I thanked him. Of course, for accompanying me.
I forgot to say thank you to the driver. He manage to be kept in silent while I was asking him something.
It's just random kinds of stuff with random answers.
I begin to walk. Not only that, but I notice that the guy in the middle of the long table was actually staring at me.
My heart is skipping, it feels like I was shortened in the breath. I need oxygen! His stares can melt your whole body.
I took some steps when I finally reached the side of him. He stared directly into my eyes. After a few minutes, he became soft.
“Why are you staring at me? And why did you take so long? I was waiting for you since I left the shop, besides you didn't want to talk to me,” he admitted.
“Really? I'm just here because I need the piece of paper that you stole from me,” I said while rolling my eyes. I crossed my arms and glared at him.
He lifts his hands and he is grinning like he was going to surrender as a joke.
“Please sit down on the side and we are going to talk about it,” he said with a very calm voice. He was just smiling from ear to ear while pointing the chair at the side.
I took a deep sigh and let it out slowly. He stand up and went to my direct just to pull the chair.
“I can do it by myself, you don't have to pull it,” I admitted. He chuckles and went back to his chair.
“So, what's the agenda? Your calling card? Okay, I understand, why do you think the reason why I brought your calling card?” he asked while putting his arms on the table.
I glanced at his long and slim arms. He was wearing a black long-sleeved. He was wearing a ring that is exactly fit on his long and slim fingers.
The chills crawled to my nape. I cleared my throat and distract myself from glancing at his arm.
“I don't know the reason, maybe you just want to make fun of me,” I replied while raising my eyebrow.
He fixed his sleeve and he sits straight on the chair. “As you can feel, I want to be your partner in modeling, that's why I'm interested, However—” he paused suddenly.
“However, I'm not allowed, because as you can remember, last weeks, the people are chasing me and they want me to be captured,” he explained.
“So? What's your point? Just tell me directly, so I can go home now,” I asked while maintaining my neutral mind.
I don't know if I'm still showing a good and presentable look, but all I want was the paper.
“Besides, you told me that I shouldn't here when the sun was down, so give it back to me,” I added.
He covers his face and I can sense the glimpse of his smile. He was holding the side of his head and trying to hide the smile on his face.
He took a deep sigh and all of a sudden, our eyes met. His expression became neutral, yet he was staring directly into my eyes.
My heart started to pump. The bond between us became stronger, it's like he's not blinking, so he can maintain the eye contact.
However, I decided to blink and he suddenly looked in a different direction. He cleared his throat.
I put my hand on the table and shows my palm as a sign that I'm still going to get the paper.
He shook his head and his hand landed on mine. I can feel his warm and soft palm. His slender and long fingers are at my hand.
He put the paper in my hand and his hand moved away quickly.
“Happy? You can go home now, I'm just—” he cuts his words. I notice that his ears are started to become red.
“Nothing, I need to bring you home, so I can be comfortable and I will be able to sleep peacefully because I know that you are safe.”
He stood up immediately, while I'm still sitting and still stunned to speak.
“Let's go, it's getting late.” He hold my arm we walked together.
