My brows furrowed "Are we close enough to joke? Ofcourse Im serious."
"Why did you get a condo here? And even opposite mine?"

I ignored his question and directly enter. "Nice." I said while looking up at the carved ceilling with a chandelier
"Tell me, did you move here on purpose?" He ask while approaching me. I knew he would ask that. I went to a black leather couch facing its back on the entry way and sit down. "Hmm. Comfy, where did you buy this?" I've been wanting to get a condo unit for a long time but I can't decide where to get one. I decided to take it here because apart from the beautiful interior designs of the units, Kaiden is also here. I thought I'd better watch over him if I lived here too? It was as if it wasn't enough for me to follow him every day. What if a woman comes to his condo unit to have sex with him every night?
"Im asking you Ashly! If you still don't answer my question, I'll kick you out." He said with authority in his voice.
I turned to him and placed my arm on the headrest of the couch and raised an eyebrow "If you kick me out." I smiled playfully.
The irritation on his face became more visible "What are you doing here? Don't tell me you want to watch me eating too?" My gaze flew to the small dining table near the kitchen. There is food ready there. I stand. "Right timing, I haven't eaten yet. I just moved a while ago, my equipment isn't complete yet." I approached the table and picked up the spoon and fork
"That's mine!"

I ignored him and started eating
"Shit!" He said and let out a violent breath "Fine! Enjoy eating then."
"Thanks." I followed my gaze as he went to the kitchen and opened the refrigerator. It looks like he will cook a dish for himself again. "In fairness, your cooking is delicious." Maeve mentioned that Kaiden is good at cooking and now I have proven it. He is good at cooking. In the near future, Maeve will always be full because she already has a cook. "I would love to eat your cooking everyday." I said while chewing
"Oh, please don't. And thank's for the compliment." He said and smile sarcastically.

I hidenly smile. Why? Cause I love seing him, mad, dazed, and horrified. His reactions amused me. I don't know if he holds back confronting me because he's a real gentleman as Maeve described him or maybe it's because I'm his girlfriend's besfriend so he's just bear with me. Even with his reactions I knew he was harmless. I just smiled and resumed eating.
When I finished my food, he came out of the kitchen and prepared his own food on the table. "Hmm. That looks good too." I said while looking at the dish he was preparing.
"Don't you dare." He sternly warned and even blocked his hand on his plate.
I nasty glance at him "Tss what do you think of me, starving? That's yours. I'm full" I snatched a glass of water from his hand. He just shook his head, sat in front of me and started eating. "So, now tell me, why did you move to this building?"
"Well, I know you already know the answer to that question already. I want to guard you in everyway possible. Even in your own house. you are guarded." He choke by what he heard. He picked up the petcher and poured water into the glass and drink it. Then his eyes widened as he looked at me.
KAIDEN POV
"WHat? You get a unit here just to keep an eye on me up to here?" My eyes widened asking Ashly.
"Am I brilliant?"
"No. Your ridiculous."
She smally laugh "Because I thought, it doesn't matter if I follow you every day, if in your condo you meet your fvck buddy every night to have sex? I promised Maeve that I will guard you and I didn’t want to ruin my job. So 24/7 I need to see you. So here I am in the condo opposite to yours so that you won't run away from me."
It was as if I was a statue of what she said.
"So, every night, I'll be paying you a visit to check on you. It's also better if I have dinner here since I don't have a gas stove and I don't know how to cook. I keep you company you until you fall asleep."
"Are you kidding me?"
"Am I look kidding?" She answer my question with a question. Great.
"No way! Don't you say Maeve ordered you to do that too?"
"No. This is my own move but I know she'll like it."
"Your crazy! You are not satisfied with following me like a stalker and you want to watch over me in my own house? You're invading my privacy!"
"Well, Im sorry. Im just doing my job." She said while acted cool.
I shook my head as my jaws stiffened and tightened. "I can't let what you want happen. Do you understand? You will never get in here again."
"Aha! Maybe you don't want me to visit here because you bring a woman here right? Are you betraying Maeve?"
"I don’t have a woman brought here and also you said is baseless."
"If nothing really, why don’t you want me to come here and guard you?"
"Because its freaking weird. Yoyr overdoing your job. I have my rights of privacy you know?"
"This is my way of doing my job, yo'know? This is how I really work. Perfectly polished. And please, don't act like I'm going to guard you for your whole life. Remember this is only temporary while Maeve is away. And also, don't you wanna know me as your girlfriend's besfriend? You know, we're gonna be close too." she teased me
"I don't want to be close with you. You're a freaking freak. You freaking me out."
"Why? You can't handle me?" She asked me teasedly
"I surely can. I just don't want to be with you. I'm just thinking of being close to you, my body hairs stands. What you did to me before is still fresh in my head. You are crazy."
"So you're afraid of me?"
"Im not afraid of you. You suddenly dropped out of school then to avoid my avenge."
"Tss. I did'nt drop out of school to avoid your avenge on me. I dropped out because my dad transferred me to another university in Cebu againts my will."
Cebu? Quintin is also studying there on his college life. Quintin loves music, he even had a band there. He even told me a story about a fan of their band. It is always present in their gigs. He could'nt approached her cause his too shy. But after the graduation, he flew to Pennsylvania. Is it possible for these two study on the same university? Its impossible! Haha! Cebu is so big. Tss why am I caring about this shit?
"Whatever! I will not allow you to watch me on my own house. Now, get out of my suite!"
She nodded and turned around behind me, acting thinking "What if I call maeve and tell her that a woman is being brought home to your condo? How do you think she will react?"
I stood up and faced her "You won't do that."
"You know I can do it."
"Just try to do that." I gave him threatening look
"Are you scaring me? You know I’m not quickly stunned."
"I'll tell Maeve your nonsense . I'm sure she won't let you ruin my life."
"That is if you can contact him. You had an agreement right? You won't talk to each other while she's apart."
My eyes narrowed "When she comes home, I will say your threats to me, the plot you lie to destroy me. For sure, even if you are her bestfriend, she will not tolerate your antics."
"You're wrong. Maeve tolerates me more than anyone in this world. She knows my secrets. She knew all my mischief and not even once, she stop me from what I was doing. Not that she does'nt care about me but she knew I was really like this."
"Are you saying that she will favor you more than me?"
"Surely. We have been together longer than you. Aside from her parent, I am one of the people she trusts completely. So if I say I saw you're cheating on her, she will believe. And believe me, when that happens, your relationship is over."
"You're bullshit! Can you do that to your own friend? Can you hurt her?"
"Well knowing your type, you will surely hurt her too one day. So it's better while it's still early and she hasn't fallen deeply in love with you yet, the relationship between the two should end."
"You're downright crazy! I will tell Maeve everything!"
"If she believes you. As I told you, she trusts me more than you. That's why she asked me to guard you, isn't it?" She took a deep breath and looked serious This is not for me Kaiden. All of this Im doing, its all for Maeve, I am serious about the words I left to her."
