Darcy.
Two days has passed in a row, and Alpha Anthony hasn’t called me even once. I had wanted to go and see if everything was alright but went against it. It has to do with the lady that came that time to see him, Miss Bridget and she has been coming to the pack house every day, spending her entire day here. “What are you thinking about?” Heath asked, sneaking into the room.
Unlike them, I was given a room in the main house and at the same time, we weren’t allowed to be seen together, even during our free hours. I snatched away my notebook from the bed, detaching the pen from it. “Nothing. Are you done with your chores?”

She gently nodded her head, collapsing on the head. “Today was hectic. Miss Bridget came again and as always, she was bossy. She even slapped the head of the kitchen.” She narrated. For the past days, she had always given me updates on whatever Miss Bridget does around the house and it has always been nasty and childish. “Could you imagine? All because she didn’t gets the recipe right in her book.” She rolled back her eyes again.
“She didn’t have to slap her.” I wrote. I believe that no matter how messy it was, she could have corrected her but who am I to say so? When my own father had treated me like garage even when I had put everything into it. “I guess, it was something that couldn’t have been avoided.” I added when the memories of how I had spent my poor life grazed my mind.
In my heart, I had cut all ties with my father and my step mother. They have no relevant in my life anymore, although they had sheltered me when I had nowhere to go if it wasn’t worth everything that I had gone through while I was with them. “That’s what I had said, a simple correct this and do that would have solved everything but she used her rank to slap her.”
From the way Heath’s voice sounded, one could tell how frustrated she is from what had happened. “If only I had the power, I would have taken Miss Bridget down because this isn’t the first time that she has been doing things like this.” Heath said again.
Beta Michael had warned me to stay away from her, I had seen how mean her stares were and also, now Heath is talking about how much she despises her, indeed there is something that must be avoided about her. She isn’t the type that looks nice. “Did she do anything?”
“I am not meant to say this to anyone but there used to be a maid that committed suicide because of her. Alpha Anthony covered it up, lying that the maid had cancer.” Heath revealed. I didn’t really come to the pack more often but I do clearly remember when the maid’s dead was a topic around the pack until everyone was later silenced. “Because of the love that the Alpha has for her, no one was even allowed to walk or breathe normally when she is around. He always stands up for her, even when she is wrong.” She exclaimed.

The way that Alpha Anthony had smiled at the pack meeting meant a lot of things that even a blind person would have seen it. “And now that she is back while you will be around the Alpha, you have to make sure that you don’t do anything offensive to her.”
I quickly scribbled down there is no way that I would let myself to cross path with her. I will always ignore what she throws at my way to make me look like the bad sheep. “Thank you for the advice, I will pay heed to it.” I showed her.
I had wanted to say a different thing, but it didn’t have any significant and the only thing that I can do is avoid Miss Bridget as she had said. That would be the only safest way for me and my sanity. I have already been through a lot, I won’t let her come out here and make life more miserable for me. “So...” Heath drawled while I watched her lips, anticipating what she was going to say.
She had this grin on her face that I couldn’t point out what it was for. I raised a brow, waiting for her to say whatever was on her mind. “How does it feel being the Alpha’s mate?” she asked, wiggling her brows.

A scoff rumbled out of my chest. There was a time that I used to think that perhaps, I might gain a chance to be with Alpha Anthony and through him, I would be healed but with Miss Bridget now in the picture, there is nothing like that. “It doesn’t change anything that I am nothing but an omega and also, a stealer. He hates me.” I wrote, pointing out the real fake.
He has said it and doesn’t miss an opportunity to let me now that there would be no future between us, that he had only taken me in because of the safety of those living out there. Heath gasped. “You can’t be serious. He is the fucking Aloha King, a lot of maids salivate over him despite being wicked to everyone around him and for the fact that people can’t get close to him.”
“I am not other girls or other maids and given my situation, I have to learn that I am not princess to be. I have to navigate this life without a mate.” I signed then realized that she didn’t get what it was meant. “Can you just don’t ask me about this anymore? I don’t want anyone to think that I have feelings for him. It is a taboo.” I requested instead.
“It isn’t a taboo because that is what was destined to be. If he wants, he can silence us from saying it out but we won’t stop saying the truth when we can see it. And I am sure that the both of you would make powerful couples together.” Heath commented.
She doesn’t look like someone that would drop this topic anytime soon so I began to plead with her. I don’t want to be in a situation whereby someone would get into trouble because of me. “What is going on here?”
