What did he just say? Mate? No...No this can't be happening to me right now. How can I be his mate?
"Wha-at?"
"Sleep tight little witch!" he said then left me standing in the doorway mentally slapping myself.

After what he had said I could hardly close my eyes so with little sleep I was getting ready to start this new day. I took a quick shower and then got dressed in a black pencil skirt with a dark blue blouse. I then added my black heels completing the look with a ponytail. My makeup was all natural with satisfaction I headed out by the door. I then took the bus towards the school with a heavy heart I had to enter it without my friend. Once the bus came to a halt I knew that we had reached our destination. I grabbed my bag and ran into the building towards the classroom.
"Take a seat, Haylie I have an announcement to make!" she said giving me a faint smile. I chose the first open seat that I could find from the corner of my eye.
"As you know the final exam is finished leaving us with interns. I have made a list of who will be doing their internship where! I have four hospitals up on the board. If your name is not on one of the lists then that means you will be working with me!" she said with a smile. She then took the papers putting them up against the wall with a nod we were allowed to step closer to have a look.
The list was long and filled with names, yet I could not find my name. I tried again, but the second time the list seemed small. My name was not on the board which made me confused and worried that my plan of getting out of packs was failing. I decided to ask Mrs Rhodes what was going on, yet the minute I walked up to her table her frown turned into a smile.
"Did you find your name, Haylie?" she asked while looking up at me.
"No mam, I was wondering why?"

She took off her glasses and then asked me to take a seat.
"Your exam points were extremely good! It did not make sense to waste such a talented child, so I have decided that you will be my intern at BC Med. I will train you and help you to become a wonderful doctor!"
"BC Med isn't that the pack's hospital?"
"Correct, you will learn so much, Haylie!"

"I understand, but with all respect would it not have been better to take one of the other students?"
She looked at me then said: "You're just as much part of this pack as any other wolf. Maybe if they had studied then they could have joined you, but we both know it's just about the party. Will you be able to pack so that we can leave in a few?"
"Sure, thank you once again, Mrs Rhodes! I will not let you down!" I said as I walked back to my car. Once I got home I started to pack light. I can always come back home to change or get anything that is needed. My phone took me from my thoughts when I saw who it was a dorky smile appeared on my face.
"Morning, so how did it go?"
"Don't you have something to do like making food or cleaning the house?"
"Funny, but nope I'm bored as hell! I was wondering if you would like to come over?" she asked with hope in her voice.
"I can't R, I'm going with Dr. Rhodes to BC Med. Do not ask it's part of my internship alright!" I added hearing her chuckle on the other side. I know it has only been a day, but I missed this crazy head.
"Fine, how about I meet you there?"
"R, what is going on?"
"Well, your brother didn't come home last night and I'm here without any friends... I should have listened to you, Haylie!" her voice was filled with disappointment.
"How about visiting you after I had settled in?" I asked hearing a squeal making me laugh.
"Calm down, I'll let you know as soon as I am done then you can.."
"I'll pick you up!"
"No, R that won't..."
"Yes, you're my guest remember!" she said then went on to say goodbye. Never in a million years did I think that I would see the inside of my brother's house, but guess fate has a funny way of showing things these days. I sat down letting my mind go over the fact that I am a luna to a ruthless man. He rips people to shreds not to mention the packs that have these laws about witches. They hated them and here he is mated to one! I can see the irony in that! My mind was taken away from the thought of him being my mate when I heard a honk outside. I grabbed my suitcase and left as quickly as possible.
The drive towards the pack was pleasantly warm and full of chats. I did enjoy spending this time with Dr Rhodes she is a remarkable woman. She is a slender woman whose hair is always in a bun with glasses you could tell that she kept things professional. Once we got to the hospital we quickly headed inside for her to sign a few documents. I took a seat outside of her office waiting for her patiently to finish. Something was off about being here. I could not place my finger on why, but something was up.
"Have you seen Dr Selene?" a young nurse asked me with a simple nod she looked frightened.
"I'll help you look for her quickly, you said Dr Selene?"
"Yes, here is a photo of her!" the nurse showed me then I headed in the opposite direction.  I walked down a long hall that had mostly badly injured wolves. My eyes caught a silver plate saying:' Dr Selene '
Maybe she will be in her office swamped with files. Rumor has it that the staff needs more doctors and that she is not getting to everyone, while others just hate her guts. I did not want to elaborate on that so I just kept quiet and knocked on the door hearing no response I turned around to leave, only to hear something being broken from her office. I decided to rather see what was going on for all I know it can be a rogue. I slid my wand from my leg checking the halls as I approached the door to make sure no one was going to witness what was about to take place, yet I had regretted it the moment the door flew open. There she was on her knees sucking off nonother than my mate.
"Uhm..uh..Dr Selene they are looking for you it's an emergency!" I said through gritted teeth while looking away.
You should have fucking knocked!" she said hearing her voice.
"I did, but you were too busy to hear that dr!" I replied with attitude I left the room trying to erase this picture from my head. I was just around the corner when two strong arms pulled me back. I could immediately tell who it was so I turned around to face the alpha.
"What are you doing here?"
"She is with me alpha!" I heard dr Rhodes from behind us.
"You asked for the best and here she is! Now I understand that she is part of this pack so she will help me these few weeks when we will be traveling. I hope that this is fine with you of course?"
"Agreed Dr, welcome Haylie!" he said with a smirk wanting to exchange hands.
"Sorry, I do not touch where others have been alpha!" I said seeing his facial expression changing from happy to pissed. At that moment I took my leave and followed Dr Rhodes. She showed me the hospital and where everything would be if I needed anything. The walk up and down made my feet hurt, but I was a strong girl. Once she had shown me every inch of the hospital she showed me toward my office.
"Today was a lot to take in, Haylie why don't you go back to the pack house? I had already arranged with your friend Railey to show you around!"
"Thank you, then I will see you later!" I said seeing her smile before leaving the room, yet we were both interrupted by a loud knock.
"Dr I think it will be best if Haylie stayed with me. We don't want her distracted by all those lone wolfs!"
"Of course, Alpha I'll have Raylie show her the way.."
"No need, I can I'm actually on my way home."
"Well, then that is settled. I'll see you tomorrow Haylie!" the doctor said leaving my office while the tall man stood there looking at me from head to toe.
"I could have stayed in the pack house. There was no need for you to move me!" I said grabbing my backpack to leave, yet he closed the door behind him.
"I will not let my mate stay in a packed house with other needy wolves! Do you understand?"
"No, maybe you should alpha so that someone can eat me out also!..." his eyes turned cold-blooded within seconds.
