The next morning I went for my usual run when the scent of strawberries filled the air. My wolf was high from that scent which left me dumbfounded. I rip people apart and here my wolf is on a high on fucking strawberries. As I opened my front door I overheard the conversation between Nick and Haylie. I decided to quickly jump through the shower and got dressed in my normal clothes since I would be doing rounds today, there was no need for a tux. I headed downstairs to grab some breakfast just in time for the brunette to walk into me. Her sudden touch made sparks jump through my body and once she had turned around that is when something inside of me felt protective over her. Her eyes locked onto mine with a smirk I could see how scared she was.
"Going somewhere?" I asked.
"I, uhm, yes Nick is taking me home so thank you for all of your hospitality alpha?"

"Oh, where are my manners, Alpha Rayden from the Crescent Blood Moon pack!" I informed her swiftly only to see her soft tanned skin turning pale. I did expect this since my name travels far and I do have a reputation for killing people.
"You're an..uhm..an." the poor witch mumbled trying to get her words out, yet I could not stand there anymore even though I did enjoy the view.
"Original, that's right! Nicholas, will you please give me a minute with your sister." I order my beta while keeping my eyes on the little witch. Once he had left the room I could see how she was taking note of the knife on the table which left me to smirk at her then she decided to withdraw her wand letting her beautiful long hair fall from the bun that was in place.
"Your magic is useless on me and you know that little witch!" I spat out before walking past her to have some breakfast.
"Have you had breakfast, prinses?"I asked as politely as possible.
"No, not hungry just want to go home and stop calling me princess!"

"You know who I am, yet you are scared and the thought of your magic not working must be killing you right now?" she was shocked by those words. What? It was no secret that I had a family curse and her kind was the reason for it.
"Look, alpha I did not mean to cause any problems and would like to go home."
"Call me Rayden, princess!" I insisted, yet our conversation got cut off as soon as one of the pack warriors came running in. He advised me that we were under attack which left my blood to boil. I got up taking the witch with me since she was my fucking responsibility. We quickly jumped into my car where I dropped her off by the safest side of the pack. Once we arrived at the west side I stopped the car looking at her while she looked completely scared to death.
"Findlay will get you home, I've already linked him! Do not go into the woods trying to take a shortcut! Do you understand?"

"Mmm.." I think she said by the sound that I could hear, which was working on my last nerve.
"Do you understand woman?" I yelled pulling her out from her thoughts. She nodded and got out running straight towards Railey. I then stepped on the gas driving towards the North side of the pack. I was hardly close when I could feel my wolf turning restless. I stopped the car and jumped out running towards the fight where I had blocked off my link. There were rogue attacks and then there were bodies lying on the ground. I didn't bother to even change as I ran towards one ripping its heart out with a loud growl everyone stopped and looked at me. Within seconds the rogues started to withdraw from their position, yet I didn't. I grabbed one that was about to run throwing his body right through a tree branch. Once there were no more rogues in sight I turned to find my beta with a smile.
"You did quite a number Alpha! You're making us look bad here!" he chuckled which made me laugh.
"You should learn how to fight! Can anyone here tell me how the fuck did the rogues gain access? Some points are supposed to be monitored!" I yelled seeing how each wolf bowed their head in shame.
"Clean this fucking mess up and I want a full report on this fucking mess!" I growled leaving with Nick towards the West side's territory. Once we got there we made sure that all the women and children were safe, yet something was wrong. I could feel it in my guts.
"Nick!" I heard my beta's mate's voice from behind seeing her alone and Findlay behind her screaming at some wolves. I looked at her then my feet did the rest. There would not have been enough time for him to get Haylie out of the pack so she would have been with Railey which was not the case. As I came closer to him I heard how he yelled at the wolves asking if they had seen a girl.
"What girl, Findlay?" I asked seeing how he almost pissed his pants.
"Alpha, the witch she was behind us, and the next moment she was gone!" his words left me cold with a mix of emotions that were running through my body until we heard a child's voice screaming. I gave him a death glare turning around and running towards the child who came running out of the woods.
"Mommy!!Mommy!!"
"Hey, you're safe cupcake!" I heard the mother's voice trying to calm her child, yet she looked historical.
"Mom, there is a girl..." I did not even finish listening to that sentence when my wolf took over. I ran into the woods changing into my wolf to gain speed. The air was filled with rogue's scent, but stopped the moment strawberries filled the air. I changed into my human form as soon as I came to the scene of rogues lying like corpses with no Haylie in sight. I then heard a body hitting a tree with a scream. I know who that belonged to with anger taking over me I ran toward the voice with gritted teeth. I saw a man standing over her laughing like a maniac while strangling her.
"Ple..plea.."
"She's my fucking bitch!" I found myself saying then threw the man against a tree. I slammed my fists into him then pulled him closer sunk my sharp canines into his neck pulling causing a piece of flesh to tear from the force.The blood tatste was not even close to satisfying me. The man tried to fight against what was happening, yet I was too fast as I broke his neck seeing his lifeless body falling to the ground. My heart was racing with deep breaths I tried to calm my wolf, yet I could only once I had heard that she was fine.
"Hey, you're okay! I've got you!" my beta said knowing that she was fine which put me at ease.
"Get me a stake!" I roared from anger. Findlay handed me a stake within a minute. I then ripped the rogue's head off placing it right through the stake.
"Put this up, for all rogues to see!" I commanded only to come face to face with her eyes. I looked at her studying every inch of her body to make sure that she was not hurt. Once I was sure I changed into my wolf and ran off. I ran for hours and hours until I could no more. I remember my words then something  came to me. Not only did I remember my words, but I remembered what my wolf had said right before I had attacked that man. I needed to make sure of this fact. I got home not caring who needed to talk to me. I jumped through the shower and changed my clothes. I then got into my car where I had phoned Nick.
"Your sister's address?"
"Alpha?"
"I asked you a fucking question! Address now!"
"Uhm 18 Oakley Road, what are you going to do?"
"My alpha duties to my beta. I'll be checking up on her while you get your mate settled in!" was all I said bluntly.
I rang the doorbell patiently waiting for her to open up and when she did... I was taken from out of this world. She had a plane shirt on that complimented her figure with rosy lips and that fucking ass!
"Alpha, what are you doing here?" she asked taking me from my dirty thoughts.
"I just wanted to say thank you for looking after that little girl today and also wanted to check up on you!" I said walking past her. Her home was not what I had expected it to be.
"I would do it again, but with all respect what do you want?"
"You know why I am here don't you?"
"No, I don't and would love to know what I did to receive this entrance! Hopefully, you're also here to apologize?" she said sounding sarcastic.
"For what?"
"I heard what you called me, alpha Rayden!" she said crossing her arms and looking all pissed. She was fucking cute when she was pissed.
"I'm not apologizing for that, princess!" I said taking a step closer.
"Well, then you can leave!" she informed me which left me to smile.
"Your my bitch, princess and I will not apologize for that! Have a lovely eve.." I barely got to finish my sentence when I felt a warm sensation on my face.
"Maybe you should just leave now!" I said through gritted teeth.
"I hope you like that in the bedroom as well, Mate!" I smirked seeing how her mouth fell open.
