KING REGAN'S POV
I am not a fun of dining with people outside our family circle, neither are my brothers. But today we were all thrilled enough to invite our senior generals, council men and our closest allies to share the good news with them. For the first time in years we can walk out to the sun without getting rashes, and not to mention we can now wear the crown of king of Alpha kings. All thanks to princess Hellen's beautiful talent.
"My kings, ladies, and esteemed guests, it is my honor to introduce to you Princess Hellen of Silverdale, the beautiful sorceress who has lifted the curse from the mighty crown and restored it to its former glory." William announces to the guests when princess Hellen enters the room in a floor length black dress.

A wave of applause and excited whispers swept through the guests and Princess Hellen smiles, her eyes shining with pride.
Most of the guests gets to their feet, bowing respectfully and expressing their gratitude.
"You're a special kind of woman, princess." one councilman says, his voice filled with admiration. "We are forever in your debt."
Others murmurs their agreement.
Kian charmingly pulls a chair for the princess and we welcome her to the table with the most bewitching of smiles.
"Is Ella not attending the dinner?" Aleric leans in to ask me discreetly. We had agreed to refer to our human mate by her name whenever we talk of her in presence of other people, the last thing we want is any of the guest here to know we have a human mate. But despite our precautions, we had still extended an invitation to her for this dinner, as a gesture of gratitude for giving us her blood.

"I believe she has arrived." I say and points at a beautiful figure walking in through the door in a golden dress. Her walk is enchanting and she looks enthreal. She would have made a very beautiful queen if she wasn't a weak human. Our guests turn to stare as she strolls into the hall.
"You sent her a dress," I observe, turning to my brother.
"We owe her that much at least," he replies and I nod.
"Guide her here." I order the closest servant to me and she immediately makes her way towards her.

ELLA'S POV
As soon as I walk into the grand dining hall, a servant comes up to me.
"Miss, his majesty, King Reagan has requested you join them at the royal table. Please follow me." I nod and follow the servant to the long, fancy table. Besides my handsome mates there are more than a dozen of other royal guests since the table is really large.
Princess Hellen is already there offcourse, seated between two of my mates, Kian and Aleric. She radiates confidence and beauty in a dazzling black dress. Her short brown hair pulled into a high ponytail.
She is smiling and looking happy until she notices me. Her smile is immediately replaced by a scowl
I keep following the servant to the table even as she shoots me the meanest of glares and most of the other guests turn to look at me, curiosity and surprise evident in their eyes.
"I don't know her. Do you?" I hear one guest whisper to their friend, trying to figure out who I am.
"I'm not sure. Maybe she's important to our kings," the friend replies.
“Ella,” King Aleric says in an eerily calm voice as the servant pulls out a seat for me at the table, next to two older men. “We are glad you have joined us.”
Everyone at the table stares at me as I sit down. Couldn't I have gotten a seat beside one of my mates, I would feel more comfortable and confident.
They are all seated on the other head of the long, lavish table. Closer to princess Hellen.
"Good evening, my lady. You look absolutely stunning. I am General James." one of the balding, pot bellied men beside me greets with a charming smile.
I would be elated that a I am being being addressed by a man of high standing if I I wasn't already mated to the most handsome and powerful of kings.Guess this is the bad side of looking good. The guests are obviously mistaking me for someone important.
"Hello, I'm Ella," I reply after
Princess Hellen frowns as she watches us talking.
"Why have you brought a servant to dine with us?" princess Hellen suddenly questions loudly making a face.
The room falls silent, All eyes turn towards her, then shift to me. The Nobel men who were admiring me moments ago now look away, their expressions turning to disdain.
Before I can say a word King Regan, my protective mate, speaks up.
"Ella is our dear friend and is welcome to dine with us. Her presence here tonight is by our invitation." He defends but now everyone knows I'm a servant.
The guests exchange surprised glances, unsure of how to react. Princess Hellen looks pleased with herself, a smug smile on her face.
Regan gestures to the long line of servant behind them to begin serving the first course and a glass of rich wine is placed in front of me.
All the guests resume their merry chatter around the ornate table, most of them now choosing to ignore my presence. I sit still drinking my wine while nervously, stealing glances at my handsome mates.
"So, when will our mighty kings take a queen now that the curse is gone?" One of the guest suddenly asks, making my heart skip a beat.
A ripple of anticipation sweep through the assembled guests as all eyes turn towards King Reagan and his brothers.
"We're in no hurry to find a queen. We want to take our time to search and choose wisely," King Reagan replies firmly, his gaze briefly flickering in my direction. A pang of disappointment strikes me. They don't want to make our relationship known yet?
”Why look far when Princess Hellen is already here?" another guest suggests, and whispers of agreement spread around the table. " She meets the perfect values of a great queen. Maybe you should consider her as a possible match."
Princess Hellen's smug smile in response sends a chill down my spine, and I grip my hands tightly in my lap, waiting for a word, anything from my beloved mates to reveal that we have a mate bond and dispel any notion that they will consider Princess Hellen as their future queen.
"I wouldn't mind being the queen of this kingdom. I would be quite fitting, don't you think?" Hellen says loudly, putting her hand around King Kian's arm and kissing his neck possessively. King Kian doesn't react or show any kind of discomfort.
"It seems like you have already captured the hearts of our esteemed kings!" another guest remarks cheerfully to Hellen.
The guests smile in approval and It feels like daggers twisting in my chest as Hellen glaces at me giving me a smug grin. I try to keep a neutral expression.
I watch King Kian across the table, he doesn't smile or seem remorseful when he looks at me. He is acting like he doesn't know me. Surely one of them will speak up and tell the guests that they already have lovely mate.
But silence stretches on, it is King Aleric who finally breaks it, his words like a dagger to my heart.
"Yes... we will consider Princess Hellen as a potential match."
My world crumbles in an instant. The glass in my hand slips through my fingers, crashing loudly against the table.
"You... you fucking liars!"
The room falls silent, all eyes turns to me as my outburst reverberates through the whole room. The guests exchange shocked, uneasy glances, while Princess Hellen's expression shifts from triumph to satisfaction.
King Reagan immediately shots me a warning look and shakes his head once as if to say be quiet.
"You don't want them to know I am your mate!" I accuse, my voice trembling with anger, causing several shocked gasps to ripple around the table. King Reagan's face contorts with fury as he glares back at me.
"You said you loved me. You all wanted to make things right with me," I mutter, turning my gaze towards King Kian. I know there are guests here who know nothing about us but I don't care.
"What they meant was they love what they can take from you," Princess Hellen interjects with a disdainful snort.
"Hellen.. . .” King Aleric warns loudly and I swear I see panic flash across his face.
Unfazed Hellen rolls her eyes. She is clearly enjoying this. "The human has the right to know that you only needed her to lift the curse. Or she will continue believing you love her," she declares and he realization hit me like a tidal wave. My anger is quickly replaced by a burning mixture of pain and shock.
No! It can't be true!" William couldn't have been right!
"The blood?" I choke, my breath heavy, my hands starting to trembling uncontrollably as I lock eyes with king Kian. I rise from my seat. "Please, tell me you didn't... take me out, kiss me, pretend to love me just to get my blood..."
I immediately catch a glimpse of guilt flash across his face and my heart shatters into a million pieces. An overwhelming wave of pain sweeping over me. I’m not talking about the pain throbbing in my back where Hellen hurt me earlier. No. This is a whole new level of pain. The kind of pain that grips at your heart and rips it apart. The pain that comes when someone betrays you.
They all have have been playing me this entire time. My tear filled gaze shift towards King Reagan, remembering our Dinner date, all the hugs, the kisses, the smiles, the laughs. Wait! did he purposefully get me drunk that night so that I would agree to make a blood promise with him and he would get the blood?
They had every move planned, every night, every single detail, and everyone including princess Hellen knew. They all have been playing me this entire time.
"No, this can't be real!" I protest, my voice laced with desperation. "There's no way you would pretend to love me so convincingly, for so long... It can't be true!"
"You don't feel anything for me?" I plead, searching for a glimmer of anything in Kians eyes. He must have felt something from what we shared when he took me for a ride to see the crown.
King Kian's sigh. " I feel sorry for you, Ella." he says, his tone devoid of any emotion and Hellen's bursts out laughing. The guests at the table give me pitious glaces.
I knew I should’ve never trusted any of them. How could I have ever kissed any of them? As beautiful as they are. A part of me was always wondered if their apologies and intentions were acctually sincere. And now I know. That part of me had been right all along.
"Look, Ella I know this has to be hard to hear,” King Kian continues. "But as Alphas, we cannot marry a human."
“Has to be hard to hear?” I laugh the most unsettling kind of laugh tears streaming down my cheeks.
"How... could you do this to me?" I manage to choke out between sobs. "Why?"
"Because we needed your blood," King Reagan says as a matter of fact and his honesty only breaks me further.
"It was never meant to reach this point," King Aleric's attempt to console. "You can ask for anything you want and we will give it to you in return for giving us your blood."
Well look at him. Pretending like he cares. What a jerk. Now I’d love to tell you that I spat every foul word that was running through my mind right in their faces. But instead, with tears streaming down my cheeks like a coward, I turn and flee from the room.
