ELLA'S POV
"My lady, your bath is ready." I announce softly as I enter my mistress's bedroom.
But it's like she doesn't hear me. She lifts her beddings and searches for something desperately.

"Where the hell could have it gone?" she mutters in frustration throwing the pillows to the floor.
"Is something missing, your Grace? Perhaps I can be of assistance in locating whatever you are looking for," I offer, feigning concern.
I know exactly what she is looking for, it's tucked safely in the pocket of my dress and I have no intention of giving it back.
The door suddenly opens and Asher and Julia comes in. Confusion take over their faces seeing the beddings a mess on the floor. The princess turns towards them, accusation in her eyes.
"There was an important item beneath my pillow, tell me, who has taken it?" she demands, her voice carrying a tone of anger.
"We have taken nothing, your Highness," Julia asserts looking shocked.

"Whatever is missing, it must have been the human. She was alone in the chamber while we attended the moon celebration last evening," Asher accuses, casting a suspicious glance in my direction.
They don't even know what is missing yet they are already accusing me?
The princess turns fixing her gaze upon me, fury blazing in her eyes.
"How can it be me, Your Highness? I am forbidden from handling and touching your expensive dresses, food and beddings." I protest desperately. "If the missing object was concealed beneath your bedding, I swear it is not I."

The princess doesn't seem convinced, She regards me skeptically. "Who was in my quarters last?" she inquires, and a wave of dread washes over me as Asher and Julia both point accusatory fingers in my direction.
"I..I di." I stammer as the angry princess strides towards me, causing me to instinctively step back.
"I, of course, don't believe it's you that took it," she states, and the panic in me momentarily eases. But her next words send shivers down my spine, "but if I find out it's you, I will cut off your stupid human head and throw it to the dogs. You hear me?"
I nod slowly trying to steady my racing heart as she turns away, masking her threat with a fake smile. She scares me because she is evil enough to do just what she has said. But as long as she doesn't know, I am safe...for now.
Clapping her hands, she announces, "Now, I'll go take my bath before my morning walk with one of the alpha kings."
So she has forgotten about the missing letter just like that, I doubt so.
She turns back to me, "I'll need one of you to escort me, and that will be you."
Why me? She usually takes Asher or Julia. I open my mouth to protest, but she speaks first.
"We are heading outside for a morning walk, so I'll need you to help me heal him once we are back," she explains. "Now go wear something nice so you won't embarrass me," she commands.
Seems like it wasn't an invite with an option of declining. With a resigned nod, I exit her quarters to change.
PRINCESS HELLEN'S POV
"It's her, I know it. She saw it and took it!" I seethe at my two most trusted servants after the human's footsteps fade away. She has the audacity to steal from me, to think she can lie to me. But I can smell the fear emanating from her, she knows what she's done.
"What did she take, my lady?" Julia asks, concern etched in her features.
"The letter from my mother," I inform them, watching as realization dawns on their faces. "If the Alpha kings ever see that, our luxurious lives here will be in ruins."
"Why did you keep it under your bed, your highness?" Asher questions, her eyes wide with disbelief.
"Where else was I supposed to put it?" I snap, frustration bubbling within me.
"We can confront her and demand it back," Julia suggests, but I shake my head. The human now knows my deepest secret, that it's not my magic healing the kings, and I can't risk her revealing the truth to anyone.
"If we confront her, she may run and expose us," I explain. The risk is too great.
I need to retrieve that letter before it's too late. The thought of losing everything I've worked for, the luxury, the power, it's unbearable.
I need to act fast.
"Julia, take this letter and make sure it's delivered back to my parents." I order giving her the letter I had addressed back to my mother. "Asher, I am going to take the human with me. Search every inch of her belongings while we are gone, we need to find that letter before she does something foolish," I command.
I won't let one stupid human destroy everything I've built. She will regret the day she crosses me.
ELLA'S POV
A sense of relief washes over me as we make our way back into the main palace grounds. King Kian had taken Princess Hellen on a tour to explore the beautiful outside palace grounds. They rode horses while Princess Hellen insisted I follow behind on foot.Thankfully, they were moving at a slow pace, which allowed me to keep up.
"I am delighted that you and your brothers are letting me get closer to you," Princess Hellen says with a joyful smile as King Kian helps her dismount from the horse, his strong arm wrapping around her delicate waist.
I stand back, listening to their conversation. "I wish we could spend more time together, but I have important duties to attend to," King Kian mentions, leaning in to plant a kiss on Hellen's cheek.
The two make quite the striking pair. Two rich royal evil souls.
"Thank you for the morning walk, my love," princess Hellen expresses with an enchanting smile before turning to head inside. I move to follow but pause as King Kian takes her hand.
"Princess," he calls, his gaze flickering briefly towards me before settling back on Hellen, who turns and looks at him expectantly.
"What is it," she urges, her eyes wide with curiosity.
King kian's expression turns serious. "Yiu should get rid of the human servant," he says, his tone firm and my heart beat picks up speed. "We can get you more respectable servants."
My heart plummets at his words, a wave of anger filling me. Rejecting me wasn't enough?
Hellen cocks an eyebrow. "Why is that? Does she not meet your standards of servitude?"
Kian hesitates for a moment, his gaze flickering towards me again before he speaks again. "It's not a matter of servitude, Princess. It's a matter of...personal affairs. Your human servant is our mate, our rejected mate, to be precise and I don't think it's wise to keep her as your servant," he explains.
Is he trying to imply that I am now a threat to my mistress safety because they rejected me. I keep my eyes down.
"What?!" Hellen exclaims at once, disbelief evident on her face.
"That cannot be. Ella is nothing but a weak, human servant!" she screams. "Such a mate bond would be a disgrace to this kingdom!" She adds, repeating the same words that king Kian and his brothers said to me.
Being mated to me is a disgrace!
"You are not leaving me for her, are you!" she blurts out in sudden dismay. Kian places both hands reassuringly on her shoulders to calm her, pulling her into his embrace.
"No, we rejected her," he purses his lips. "We wanted you to know the truth so that you wouldn't have to worry."
"Well, if you rejected her, then I suppose there's nothing to worry about. I believe I can manage a human servant," Hellen says with relief as she hugs him tightly right infront of me.
"If you say so, but the option to provide you with more better maids remains open," Kian affirms before taking his leave. Two guards come to lead the horses away.
Hellen's red lips curls into a wicked angry smirk as she turns to face me. "I came here to to try be the alpha kings queen and you had the guts to turn out to be their mate! How scandalous indeed. I do hope you're not still harboring any feelings for any of them."
I keep my eyes on the ground, my hands trembling slightly as I reply, "No, my lady. I have long since accepted their rejection. I am merely here to serve you."
Hellen looks pleased with herself, a gleam of triumph in her eyes. "Well then, you will continue to serve me faithfully and never go anywhere near any of them, you can then rest assured that there will be no complications between us," she says and I nod obediently.
