Michael couldn't afford my villa's contents if he sold himself.
Soon, the call connected.Michael, who had likely seen the livestream, roared, roared, "Are you an idiot?"
Rachel, stunned, whimpered, "Honey, don't be mad."
Sobbing, she said, "I'm being bullied.Save me!"
"There's a wretch trying to jail me!"
Michael paused, grunted, and hung up.
Rachel, smug, waved her phone at me."I gave you a chance.You pushed it this far—don't blame me."
"You and that bastard kid can beg on the streets."
I ignored the fool.Only her fans bought her nonsense, glaring and cursing at me.
"Wait till Michael gets here.She'll see."
"Rachel's too kind.I'd make her miscarry."
The officer, fed up, slammed the table."This is a police station, not a market.Quiet!"
Their stifled anger was simply laughable.
No wonder Michael struggled in the industry for years.Only a dimwit would fall for someone this stupid.
Michael arrived soon.
In person, he was more striking than on TV. His face was flushed from rushing, making him look like a prince from a painting. The fans were mesmerized.
Rachel, proud, basked in their envy, approaching Michael."Honey, you don't know how badly I was bullied!"
"If you'd come later, they'd have torn me apart."
She grabbed his sleeve, oblivious to the sweat on his forehead.
"Honey, you…"
"Who's your honey?What are you babbling?"
Michael flung her hand off, face twisted in disgust."We just promoted a couple of shows.You think you're my girlfriend?"
The sudden shift shocked Rachel and her fans.
Her smile froze.She stammered, "What are you saying?"
Michael ignored her, striding to me.Without a word, he dropped to his knees.
Voice trembling, he said, "Wife, I know I messed up."
His words stunned everyone, their eyes wide with disbelief.
"What's wrong with Michael?"
"She must've hexed him."
I sneered, stepping back."Wrong person."
Sweat beaded on Michael's forehead, and a flash of embarrassment was quickly hidden on his face.
"Wife, I'm scum.I betrayed you, but I swear it was once.Forgive me, please?"
"I can't live without you."
