Chapter 10

The video was from a crystal-clear security camera.
In the footage, Lilith glances around the breakroom, and after making sure no one is there, she pulls a small packet from her purse. She dumps the powder into a drink and then chugs it herself.
The next clip shows her in a corner, bribing Cindy to plant the remaining drugs at my workstation and to point the finger at me.

"When did you get this?" I asked, staring at Samuel in shock.
"For my Queen," Samuel said, placing a kiss on my forehead, "I would do anything."
News alerts started popping up one after another:
【Lilith Arrested for Fraud and Assault by Poisoning】
【North Shore and Black Forest Pack Corporation Stocks Plummet, Council of Elders Calls Emergency Meeting】
I let out a long, slow breath.

The weight of being falsely accused had been crushing me, and now, it was finally gone.
"There's one more thing," Samuel said, opening another document. It was an official decree he had issued as Alpha King.
【For gross negligence, enabling abuse, and bringing dishonor to his pack, Dylan is hereby stripped of his Alpha status and all associated duties.】
The people who had caused me so much pain and humiliation were finally getting what they deserved.

"Thank you," I said, turning to hug him tightly, burying my face in his neck.
"No," he said, tilting my face up to look at him seriously. "You were the one who got yourself out. I just did what I was supposed to do—protect my mate."
"Now," he said, wiping a tear from my cheek, his eyes shining with anticipation, "it's time for the second thing."
"What?"
"The official mating ceremony," he said, his voice low and earnest. "If you're ready."
I saw the hope and nervousness in his eyes.
This powerful Alpha King, right now, looked like a teenage boy waiting for an answer.
"I'm ready."
The words were barely out of my mouth before he scooped me up and spun me around, pure joy lighting up his face. "You have no idea how long I've waited to hear you say that."
He set me down gently, resting his forehead against mine. "Sylvia, I will spend my life loving you, cherishing you, and protecting you."
"I know," I said, rising onto my toes to kiss him.
The kiss was both tender and fierce, a promise sealed between us.
When his fangs pierced the skin of my neck, a deep resonance echoed through our souls, making us both shudder.
A powerful energy flooded my veins—his strength, now our strength.
In that moment, I truly became the Luna of the Alpha King.
A month later, it was our Mating Ceremony.
I wore a custom-made silver gown and the moonstone crown, walking into the grand hall on Samuel's arm.
Everyone rose to their feet and applauded.
"Long live the Luna!"
"Long live the Alpha King!"
Suddenly, the doors to the hall were thrown open.
Dylan stumbled inside.
I almost didn't recognize him.
The once proud and confident Alpha was now gaunt and hollow-eyed, reeking of desperation.
"Sylvia!" he cried out, his eyes wild when he saw me. "Sylvia, please, forgive me!"
He tried to rush toward me but was blocked by Samuel's guards.
"I was wrong!" Dylan fell to his knees, tears streaming down his face. "Lilith tricked me! There's no such thing as Moon Blight! She made it all up to get me to be with her! I was manipulated! I never meant to hurt you, you have to believe me..."
He was a sobbing, pathetic mess.
I watched the man I once loved, but my heart felt nothing.
"What a moving confession."
"A shame I no longer care."
Dylan looked up, his eyes filled with disbelief.
"I should thank you, Dylan," I said, turning to smile at Samuel. "You're the one who taught me what real love is. What it means to be truly cherished. You're the reason I found Samuel."
I gave Samuel a sweet smile, and the adoration in his eyes was almost overflowing.
"No!" Dylan suddenly broke free and lunged for me. "Sylvia, just give me one more chance—"
Before his hand could even touch my dress, Samuel sent him flying with a single kick.
"You dare touch my Luna," Samuel's voice was ice, and the full force of his Alpha King power descended upon the room.
"Drag him out," he ordered coldly. "Don't let this trash stain our ceremony."
Guards immediately swarmed him, dragging the struggling Dylan away.
The grand doors slowly closed, shutting out the sound of his cries.
The ceremony continued. Samuel led me to the altar in the center of the hall, and we shared a kiss under the light of the Moon Goddess.
In that moment, I said a final goodbye to the Sylvia who was betrayed and abandoned.
I had found the King who would kneel for his Queen.
