To save my boyfriend in an unexpected big fire, I got disfigured and ended up paralyzed.
Crying his eyes out, Ethan knelt by my hospital bed and proposed. He promised to take care of me for the rest of my life.
Not long after we got married, he gained my parents' trust and took over the family company.

Yet using my depression as an excuse, he stopped my parents from visiting me.
What's more, he brought my best friend home and fooled around with her right in front of me, stuck in my wheelchair.
“If it weren't for your family's money, I'd never have married a monster like you.”
“I already lost my true love by marrying you—what more do you want?”
Devastated, I set the whole house on fire and dragged them both to hell with me.
When I opened my eyes again, I was back on the day my boyfriend was trapped in the fire.

“Here's the bubble tea you ordered.”
When the employee handed me the drink, I realized I had been reborn.
In my past life, because of the fire, I was paralyzed from the neck down and disfigured, which made me stay at home for ages.
This scene felt so familiar—it was the same day everything exploded in my previous life.

Ethan and I had plans to meet at a restaurant. Right when we got to the entrance, he said he wanted bubble tea.
So I told him to go inside first while I went to get his drink.
By the time I got back, the restaurant had already blown up.
My mind went completely blank. All I could think about was rushing in to save Ethan.
I did find him inside—he'd been knocked unconscious by the blast.
I dragged him out as hard as I could, even shielding him during a second explosion.
The result? I was left paralyzed and covered in severe burns. Ethan only had a scratch on his forehead.
The moment I woke up, Ethan proposed. Throughout my hospital stay, he took care of me like I was the only thing that mattered.
Back then, I thought, even though I'd lost my health and my looks, it was all worth it for love.
But not long after we married, once Ethan had earned my parents' trust and taken a management role in our family company, he completely changed.
He lied to my parents, saying I was too depressed to see them.
He promised them he'd take good care of me. My parents believed him because he was such a good actor.
After that, Ethan grew more and more bold—he even brought his mistress home and flaunted their relationship in front of me.
Stuck in my condition, I couldn't leave the house, let alone ask anyone for help.
That mistress was no one else but exactly my best friend, Sophia.
To humiliate me, they'd put on their little shows right in front of me.
“How could you do this to me? Right in front of my face?”
Sophia smirked, “Olivia, you've always acted all high and mighty just because your family has money. If it weren't for that, Ethan would never have been with you.”
“And if you hadn't shown up, Ethan and I would've been married by now.”
Ethan chimed in, “Have you looked in a mirror at yourself? That face of yours makes me sick. Did you really think I'd sleep with you? I'm not that desperate.”
My heart ached.
“I saved you, but I never held it over you.”
“You were the one who proposed. If you didn't want to be with me like this, you could've just left.”
Ethan replied, “Leave? After I take everything from your family, I will.”
“And don't act like you're the victim here. Yeah, you lost your health and your looks, but Sophia and I lost our chance at real love. We're even now.”
What nonsense.
Ethan had already fooled my parents. I decided things couldn't go on like this.
If he succeeded in taking everything from my family, my parents would suffer too.
So after Ethan and Sophia fell asleep, I set the house on fire.
To make sure they couldn't escape, I covered the floor with every flammable thing I could find.
I did it all using just my arms, dragging myself across the ground.
The last time I'd pushed myself beyond my limits was when I saved Ethan from that fire.
So ironic—both times I found strength I didn't know I had, it was because of Ethan.
Except the first time was to save him, and this time was to destroy him.
As the flames swallowed me, I thought, if I ever got a second chance, I'd never save that bastard again.
And then… I got my wish.
