The chaotic venue fell into a stunned silence.
Mia had assumed I was just Liam's girlfriend—she never imagined we were legally married.
While everyone remained frozen in shock,

Liam seized the moment and stepped forward.
"I've never seen this woman before in my lift. Do you really think you can frame me with a forged document?"
Then he tore our certificate to pieces before the cameras.
His words solidified my public image as the delusional, obsessed other woman.
Watching this, Mia regained her composure.
She slipped back into her pitiful persona.

"Honey, if you truly love someone, you should want him to be happy. Don't you know you're ruining his life?"
The reporters were outraged—I had become public enemy number one.
Seeing them stand united against me, I felt utterly desolate.
"Then I'll see you at the city hall."I said quietly.

I knew this wouldn't be the end.
But I didn't expect him to come find me so soon.
He typically presented himself as gentle and easygoing.
But when he was truly angry, he never backed down.
So I was surprised he came.
Until I saw Mia standing behind him.
Mia put on her most innocent smile and warmly took my hand.
"Chloe, I'm so sorry. This is all my fault."
Her words were still perfectly crafted.
"Liam was worried about my career prospects, so he brought me on the show for exposure. I never considered how this might hurt you."
She paused dramatically. "And on Twitter—I was just concerned about scandals affecting his image. I hope you understand."
I stayed silent. She didn't press further, instead turning to Liam.
"Weren't you going to apologize? Come coaxing your wife. After two years together, she's still so stubborn."
Then she reached over and pinched Liam's cheek.
The intimate gesture turned my stomach.
Liam seemed to adore it.
His eyes softened, and he nodded before approaching me.
"I'm sorry. I was wrong."
I scoffed. "So I should accept your apology and publicly claim the marriage certificate was fake?"
"We're all doing this for Liam's career, aren't we?"
As if I'd exposed their plan, Mia dropped her act.
"So your career matters, and I deserve to be labeled a home-wrecker?"
They had no response. only glaring at me with contained fury.
"It's just a reality show—all fabricated. I'm doing this for our future!"
"If you hadn't posted the certificate, none of this would've happened! I'm cleaning up your mess!"
Liam kept making excuses, refusing to take responsibility.
I laughed bitterly, too exhausted to argue further.
But we'd underestimated the power of the internet.
Soon, every detail of our relationship was soon exposed online.
Even someone claiming to work at city hall confirmed our marriage was legitimate.
Public opinion began to shift.
"Liam remarried right after his divorce? Men are so unreliable."
"I actually believed their reunion was genuine. Reality TV is such a scam."
As the tide turned against them,
Their audacity reached new levels.
That afternoon, Liam posted an apology online.
He admitted to cheating during our marriage, then manipulating Mia into joining the show for publicity and her career comeback.
He couldn't avoid responsibility for deceiving everyone.
So they chose to protect Mia instead.
A few crafted sentences threw me under the bus, transforming Mia into the perfect victim.
This was the man I'd loved for eighteen years.
I had been a fool—powerless and hopeless.
Suddenly, the internet flooded with hate again—all directed at me.
"I knew it—Chloe Bennett is no saint. She must've seduced Liam."
"Pretty face, I bet she slept with directors to afford that apartment. Disgusting."
"Poor Mia, manipulated by both of them. I wish Chloe would just disappear."
I'd had reached my limite.
I gathered all the evidence—timelines, chat logs, receipts.
And what I'd earlier hired a private investigator to find—the real reason behind Mia and Liam's initial divorce.
In the final moments before my flight took off,
I pressed "send."
If you refuse to acknowledge your mistakes,
Let the public be the judge.
