A week later,I received a message from my childhood friend,Leo.He said that he was coming to City S next week to participate in this year's College Students'Robot Competition.
"I've asked for leave from the teacher and will come over in advance.Remember to treat me well,little master!"
Looking at the arrogant rabbit emoji Leo sent,I couldn't help but smile and replied with a"Got it".
When Lily heard that I was going out to meet my childhood friend,she asked me mysteriously whether it was a boy or a girl.
I told her it was a boy,but just a childhood friend.
Because Leo was really gay.
After picking up Leo at the train station,I first took him to have a meal.
We hadn't seen each other for a long time,so while we were eating,we talked about the things that had happened to us recently.
Leo and I grew up together as childhood friends.I spent less time with my parents than with Leo.Leo was both a friend and a brother to me.Therefore,I didn't hide anything about Ethan from him and told him everything.
After listening to me,Leo suddenly coughed.
I saw his face turn red from coughing,and I quickly poured him a glass of water.
The first thing Leo did after he recovered was to slap me on the shoulder and say to me in a tone of"哀其不幸,怒其不争"(feeling sorry for one's misfortune and being angry at one's lack of striving):"Haley,is there something wrong with your brain development?"
My shoulder hurt from his slap,and I waved his hand away angrily,saying,"Are you crazy!"
Leo was also angry.He poked my forehead and scolded me:"It's obvious that Ethan liked you during our senior year of high school.When we were filling out our college application forms during the summer vacation,he specifically came to ask me which university you were applying to.You said you saw him at University S,and it was because he deliberately followed you here!"
"Also,do you really not remember or are you just pretending not to?That Spider-Man figurine was given to me by you at school.When Ethan saw it,he thought it was cute and said he wanted it.It happened to be his birthday that day,so I asked you if I could give it to him.After you agreed,I gave it to him!"
"Strictly speaking,that Spider-Man figurine was a gift you gave to him!"
"Haley!The only person he has always kept in his heart and cared about is you!"
The hot pot restaurant was brightly lit,illuminating everything clearly.
I stared stupidly at Leo sitting opposite me,and moved my lips with difficulty,saying,"But that love letter back then..."
Leo took out an unused chopstick and knocked it on my head,angrily saying,"Go and ask him!"
"Go in person!"
"Haley,if you really like him,don't keep hiding in the corner and saying nothing.The person you like is someone you should fight for,someone you should go in front of and tell them your feelings loudly!Instead of seeing the torn love letter and feeling sorry for yourself like a resentful woman!"
Leo was so angry with me that he didn't want me to show him around City S.After finishing the hot pot and paying the bill,he pressured me to go back to school and repeatedly warned me to go find Ethan this afternoon and ask him clearly about everything.

However,after returning to school,before I could go find Ethan,Lily intercepted me by the lake on campus first.

However,when I saw that torn love letter,all my fantasies about the future came to nothing.
But now,first Leo and then Lily,they both appeared in front of me one after another,telling me that Ethan liked me?
The sparkling surface of the lake dazzled my eyes.
Suddenly,Lily patted me.
In the blinding sunlight,I saw Ethan running towards me.
He was wearing a white T-shirt similar to the one he wore when we first met.There was sweat all over his eyes,eyebrows,and forehead.
When he stopped in front of me,Ethan was still panting.His face was so red that it was scary,and the steaming heat rushed towards me unbridledly from his body.

"I'm here."
Ethan patted his face and tried his best to calm his breathing.
"Lily said you're still single today.Since you don't have a boyfriend,what do you think of me?"
