The police officer and I went to the naughty child's home.
Along the way,quite a few neighbors came to watch the commotion.
"Hello,sir.Is this Ms.Lisa's home?"The one who opened the door was the naughty child's father,Lisa's husband.
He was tall and looked very fierce.
"Police.What do you want with my wife?"He was puzzled and shouted loudly into the house,calling Lisa over.
Lisa was still wearing an apron,seemingly cooking.
"I'm a police officer from the xx City Police Station.My name is Jack,and this is my police badge number."
Jack asked,"We received a report from Ms.Sue,who lives in Apartment 512.At three o'clock yesterday afternoon,your child deliberately damaged Ms.Sue's cosmetics worth twenty-five thousand eight hundred and forty-seven dollars,and the next day,someone came to her home and smashed her computer.Is there such a thing?"
Lisa immediately shouted that she was wronged,"Police officer,this is a slander!I just visited my neighbor last night and didn't even enter the door.How could I have smashed her cosmetics?I don't even know where her cosmetics are!"
After saying that,she even pretended to bite back at me,"I think you broke them yourself and want to pin it on me.Little girl,be honest.Don't always think of these crooked ways!"
The way she said it made it seem like she was the victim and I was the one framing her.
I was really amazed by her ability to distort the truth.
Many neighbors had already believed her words and thought that I was the bad guy who framed others.
Before I could explain,Officer Jack spoke up for me first,"Ms.,you need to speak with evidence.When Ms.Sue reported the case,she had a complete chain of evidence,which can prove that it was your son who broke her cosmetics."
"It's impossible!I clearly..."Lisa blurted out subconsciously.When she realized she had said too much,she quickly stopped.
Jack nodded calmly,"That's right.Not only the previous cosmetics,but Ms.Sue also wants to sue you for damaging her computer."
"Really?Is this true?"
"It can't be fake.Didn't you hear what the police officer said?It was Lisa who did it,and there's evidence."
"Did you hear that?She not only smashed someone else's cosmetics but also their computer.It's really scary!Son,stay away from this family in the future!"
The neighbors started talking again,but this time the target of their condemnation became Lisa.
