But I had my boundaries.
After taking Mark to the hospital to bandage his arm, I stated firmly, “I don’t do mistress.”
“Don’t worry. Laura and I are done. I’ll handle it. Just promise you’ll wait for me.”

“Okay. I don’t want her causing a scene at my company. You know, for a global family business like mine, scandals are costly.”
“Trust me, it won’t happen.”
Mark leaned down and pressed a kiss on my forehead. I shuddered but flirted back, suppressing my disgust.
Ten thousand a month wasn’t easy money.
Mark moved fast, confronting Laura with divorce papers.
Laura countered with evidence of his asset transfers.

Mark was stunned, unprepared for her thorough preperation. He had no choice.
Emily pressured him, threatening to come to me if he didn’t divorce. Caught between us and lured by my “empire”, he gave Laura a large sum to settle things.
He was left with fifty million—enough for most to live lavishly.
But we weren’t done.

A month after the divorce, I left company documents on the table during our dates, leaking bits of info.
Mark researched online, he was now fully convinced. The details were real—he could find no flaws.
He never suspected I was fake, even asking to visit my company.
I didn’t refuse, taking him to the office on a planned day.
Employees stood up as I entered.
“Miss Harper!”
I nodded, gesturing for them to sit, and led Mark to my office.
Emily, our ace ally, had rented an entire floor in the city’s top CBD tower, staffing it with her people to play along.
Employees were all compliant to me, knocking on my door from time to time for my signature.
Mark was utterly convinced of who I was.
I smiled, handing him a contract. “My dad says if I’m marry someone from the States, I need to prove myself first.”
“I know you just divorced, losing most of your wealth. You’re short on funds, but look at this project.”
“It’s nearly sealed—just needs a final push. I’ll back you. Your net worth could skyrocket, qualifying you to propose to my dad.”
Mark’s eyes lit up but wavered. “Anna, isn’t this too fast?”
“You know, I’m not my family’s only child. My dad says whoever marries and has a kid first gets half the estate. I’m in a rush, understand?”
He nodded, grabbing my hand. “Don’t worry, Anna. I’m in.”
I patted his hand. “I didn’t want to rush either. I came back to find someone trustworthy. Did’’t expect it to be you. I’m willing to try—for you, for our love!”
Moved, Mark signed the contract without hesitation.
