Dumped by my boyfriend,I hit the bar with my bestie to drown my sorrows in alcohol. Boasting loudly, I vowed to use the three million breakup fee from James Carter to keep a lover. Drunk and bleary-eyed,I sprawled over a younger guy, counting his abs.
"Girl, your drool's on me." The young guy with puppy eyes was full of energy—too much for me. Guiltily,I wired him money and bolted. Until he caught me,kissed me against a wall, and James walked over. As I prepared myself for James's deadly glare, the young hot guy spoke slowly. "Uncle, why are you staring at my girlfriend?"
... My phone's ring pierced my ears. Keeping my eyes shut, I blindly grabbed my phone and snapped it open to answer the call. "Vicky, how’s that younger guy—tasty or what? Spill the tea, girl!"
My bestie Nora's gossipy, excited voice crackled through, but it didn't make me awake. "Delicious."In my dream,I was burning up,chomping on a huge watermelon. "Did he satisfy you?How many times did you guys...um...did last night?" "Stuffed. Can't eat more."I mumbled, hanging up to sleep. "Four. We did it four times last night." A pleasant male voice sounded by my ear, suddenly snapping me awake. I opened my eyes. Twenty centimeters away,a youthful, vibrant face with charming puppy eyes gazed at me with charm. I screamed and yanked the half-droped blanket over me. "Who are you? Why're you in my bed?"I croaked. With one vigorous pull, I dragged the duvet down his body, laying bare his sculpted chest. His chest muscles were so firm, yet the hickeys on his neck and the bite marks gracing his shoulder—none of it could possibly be from me, could it?!"Last night you said you’ll have me as your lover and dragged me to your place. And now after a one-night stand you're bailing?"His dark, shiny eyes radiated accusation. I tapped my head, piecing together what had happened yesterday. Yesterday morning,I got three million from my scumbag ex,James Carter, and dragged my bestie Nora to the bar. I cried over three years of love that ended in nothing, then laughed like an idiot at the 3 million dollars in my account. Drunk and dizzy,a cute guy tried to sell me drinks. "Kid,how many abs you got?Let me feel it.One ab,one bottle, deal?" I squinted at him—yep, the salesman from last night. I had thrown myself at him, groping him, clinging to him, sobbing about having him as my lover. I had vowed to spend all the money James had given me on him. This guy, clearly younger, walked right into my crosshairs. As memories resurfaced, shame hit hard. I silently pulled the blanket over my head. The thin fabric let light through,I could see my body through it—and a pair of long, pale legs rivaling mine. Shocked again,I popped out from under the blanket. "Last night,I drank a lot..."I racked my brain for excuses. "Girl, you're not taking responsibility?"He cut me off. "No,no!Name a price."Me,a good girl, who only had two relationships before at the age of thirty— had zero experience in handling this. "What do you think I am?A gigolo you pay to have a one-night stand?" "Girl, you're insulting me.I'm only a college student." "You were drunk, clinging to me.I kindly brought you home, and you pounced, unbuttoned my shirt, pinned me down, raved about my pecs and then reached for my abs..." My face burned with shame. I stopped him. What a mess—my first drunken fling, and I forced myself onto a college kid. I apologized over and over, “Now that it’s come to this, what do you suggest we do?” "Like you said, have me as your lover." "No way."I refused firmly. I,Victoria Evans, may have some money, but I hadn’t fallen enough to actually keep a college boy as my lover. "What, not happy with my service?Didn't you keep telling me how good I was last night?"
