I knew Chloe was jealous of me.
Though I kept a low profile,I’ve always held my own principals—never bullying or groveling.
During elections,I voted for a friend, not her,and she had held a grudge against me ever since.

Once we were roommates, she tripped me up constantly, subtly and overtly.
She ran a side hustle selling discounted cosmetics, sharing deals that won her friends.
Polite and generous, she had built a loyal following.
Mindful of her"good class president"image, she didn't go too far with me.
But after I switched dorms, she dropped the act!
She replied to comments:

"No need to be mad for me.I'm too soft, always letting others step on me."
"She's not all bad,just sharp-tongued and maybe a little mean.But we're roommates after all,so I let it slide."
She came out unscathed, pinning all the blame on me!
And so,I became the"toxic roommate"!

Many at school knew Chloe and guessed she meant me.
Walking on campus,I was met with curious, judgmental stares.
My eyes narrowed, and a plan suddenly popped up in my miknd.
Chloe's scholarship application was approved, and she had already received an$8000 grant.
Around then,an influencer agency noticed her account and signed her.
She couldn't resist posting about it on Instagram, bragging.
Seeing the company name,I couldn’t hold back my laughter.
She had signed the contract with my dad's company!
Whale Entertainment turned Chloe into an anti-bullying,positive-energy influencer overnight.
As expected,she went viral.
The internet pitied her, causing a massive stir.
Her cute look and sharp tongue got her videos millions of likes, and the number of her followers was skyrocketing.
Chloe became an true influencer using what happened between her and be.
With Whale Entertainment backing her up,she grew bolder.
She took on ads like crazy, raking in cash.
Money just kept pouring into her pockets.
Classmates, ever opportunistic, had treated us both politely before.
Now,seeing Chloe's success and potential as a future contact, they flocked to her.
When we crossed paths on campus, she was decked in designer clothes, sneering at me."Claire, looks like you're not doing as well as me.Should've known better, huh?"
"Kiss up to me now,and maybe you'll get some scraps."
Her eyes were venomous as she scanned me with disdain, laughing arrogantly.
I knew she'd been spending wildly since signing the contract—concerts, trips, paying off family debts.
She was thriving,her future bright.
I smiled faintly."Wish you a stellar career and bright future."
Chloe snorted, bumping into me deliberately as she strutted off.
What a joke.Did she not know who my dad was?
He owned the company she had signed contract with!
I had planned to report her,get her aid revoked, and strip her of everything.
But now...I had a better idea.
