After a night together,my boyfriend Sean Carter solemnly told me he had AIDS.
Enraged and desperate, I was about to drag him to the hospital.
But a car accident on the way left me with two broken legs.

Sean, with his new lover, came to my bedside, mocking me coldly.
“I don’t actually have AIDS.It was just a test.”
“Selfish as you are, spend your lonely life in this bed.”
His frivolous test had ruined my life.
Reborn,I spoke slowly before he could test me:
“Oh,no worries.I’ve had it for five years.”

“I don’t have AIDS.I told you I was sick to test you.”
“Sadly, you failed my love test. You’re not the one to share my life.Chloe’s my true love.”
“You selfish woman, spend the rest of your lonely life in this bed.”

With those words, Sean pulled the delicate girl beside him and left.
She shook her head, motioning for him to go ahead.
When only she and I remained in the ward,Chloe leaned to my ear, whispering:
“Idiot,I suggested testing you.Now he’s mine forever.”
“You deserve to be disabled for not cherishing my Sean.”
Standing up straight, she called out sweetly, “Sean, wait for me!” and then hurried after him.
Their sugary conversation drifted back to the ward,to my disabled ears.
“Why bother talking to her?She reeks—can’t someone clean her up?”
“Sean, she’s pitiful enough.I won’t let you talk like that.”
“Oh,you’re too kind, blinded by such a vile woman.”
“For the rest of our lives,Sean will protect me,right?”
On the hospital bed,I shed tears of regret.
Sean, have you forgotten I lent you my life savings?
You wanted a partner free of vanity,to share hardships, but with all your schemes,do you deserve such sincerity?
After a phone call, dragging my broken body,I fell from the thirteenth floor.
Farewell,cruel world.
But heaven pitied me,letting me reborn the day before Sean’s test.
“Hannah,I have something important to tell you.”
Sean looked at me earnestly.
“I have something important too.I’ve been HIV-positive for five years.”
His face froze,lips trembling slightly.
“You’re joking,right?”
I shook my head, opening the bedside drawer to show treatment drugs and a diagnosis report.
I wasn't actually ill. I just wanted to see how this man, who loved testing others' sincerity, would respond.
The knife hurts most when it cuts you.
His face darkened as he snatched the papers, sinking as he read.
“Why didn’t you tell me?You know this is illegal—I could sue you for spreading a serious disease!”
Sean cursed loudly, leaping from the bed, rushing out.
I knew he was seeking a clinic for antiretroviral drugs. So he knew fear too.
I grabbed his hand and said:
“It's no use. The nearest clinic is nearly 20 miles away. And after we came upstairs, I drained the car's gas.”
“Didn’t you say you loved me,willing to die with me?”
“Go die yourself.I’m staying alive.”
“What were you going to tell me?”
“If you’re sick,see a doctor.”
The usually arrogant Sean swore, slamming the door.
From the window,I watched him try to flag down cars, failing repeatedly, cursing in rage.
Praying,begging,offering money.
The desperate struggle to survive contorted his face, making him look ugly and ridiculous.
No different from my state leaving this world last life.
Sadly,last life,I met disaster,my legs crushed.
He didn’t.
