“Little Mommy(I) needs you to tell me what’s wrong with my baby!” she whined, voice pitching higher.
We were in the hospital,surrounded by doctors,nurses,and patients.
Her outburst drew curious glances.
I quickly pulled her into my office,shutting the door.
Then, I placed a gentle hand on her belly .
“Lily,this is the Harper heir. You must keep him! It’s just super male,right? Super male means he’ll grow tall and strong. You’ll feel so safe with your son protecting you! Doesn’t that sound perfect? Imagine that—I’m jealous already!”
Lily’s tears turned to a smile.
She immediately followed up ,”What’s a chimera?”
I thought for a moment and rephrased.“It means there were originally two babies in your womb. But this little one was worried carrying twins would be too hard on your body. And since his sibling was weaker - might not have even survived birth - he lovingly absorbed it to make things easier for you.”
I made an envious expression,exaggerating.
“My God,Lily,he’s already so loving and caring in the womb!”
“Imagine how obedient and good he’ll be once born!”
“I’m so jealous—you married my amazing brother and got a baby who adores you!”
“Is this what they mean by‘spoiled girls have the best lives’?”
My flattery left her blushing,giddy.
“Oh stop it, you~” she giggled. “But if you want to learn how to marry a perfect man and carry an adoring baby like mine, I could teach you! As my husband's sister, I'd be happy to share my secrets!””
I nodded eagerly before excusing myself, claiming urgent work, urging her home.
I feared she’d ramble until I clocked out.
After a long shift,I got home, showered ,and lay in bed to scroll videos.
But damn ,Big data was scary accurate. The first video showed two prenatal reports.
Though personal info was blurred, I recognized they were Lily’s.
Because behind it was a photo of her,pregnant,in a tight,sexy dress.
