She lay in bed, spotting him, and" accidentally" let her dress strap slip, revealing herself.
Expecting his advance, she froze as he grabbed her throat, yanking her up.
"Ellen, I tried to save you, and you made me kill my three children for nothing."
"Because of you, Claire left me. Because of you, she's gone!"
"Was it fun to toy with me?"
"Ellen, go die—join my children!"
Her face turned crimson as she gasped and scratched at his hands. Just as she was about to pass out, his parents rushed in.
"James, are you mad? Let her go!"
His father yanked his arm, his mother bit him.
James, in pain, released her.
Ellen collapsed, gasping.
His father slapped him.
"You rebellious fool! First burying corpses, now hurting Ellen."
"What's Claire done to you to make you like this?"
His mother cradled Ellen, soothing.
"Ellen, don't fear.I'll make James apologize."
James, seeing them shield Ellen, laughed bitterly.
"You know what this wretch did, and you protect her?"
"Our three children could've been born healthy. She said she needed their hearts for medicine, forcing me to kill them."
"It was all a lie. She tricked me into killing my children and fed their hearts to dogs."
"You defend this venomous woman, even striking me for her?"
His parents stared, stunned into silence. His mother shoved Ellen away, stepping back.
His father's gaze on Ellen turned to disgust.
Ellen, losing their support, crawled to James, begging.
"James, I did it because I love you."
"I feared you'd ignore me once you had kids with Claire, so I lied."
"You love me, don't you? Why else would you kill your children for me?"
"Now I'm cured, Claire's gone. Let's marry, live happily, okay?"
James kicked her away.
"My wife is Claire."
"I was briefly foolish. How could I love a vile woman like you?"
"You killed my children. I won't let you go."
"When I find Claire, you'll pay with your life."
He left, seeing a message, rushing out.
Ellen turned to her parents.
"Uncle, Aunt, you raised me. You'll forgive me, right?"
"You promised me to James—you can't back out."
Knowing the truth, they scowled.
"You killed our grandchildren and expect forgiveness? A wicked woman like you doesn't belong in our family."
"Guards, throw this wretch out!"
Meanwhile, James received a message from his assistant and sped to the office. "Mr. Carter, we found Madam's flight. It landed on a remote island."
