Ethan noticed something was off with Lily. She claimed she wasn't feeling well, but she was full of energy and lively every day.She also said she wanted to take Ethan traveling all over.
Ethan became suspicious,so he took Lily to his family's hospital for a check-up.As a result,he found that Lily didn't have any illness at all.

At that point,Lily panicked and said that she just liked Ethan so much that she’d made a mistake. She begged him for a long time.
But Ethan still broke up with her and told me that he wanted to take good care of me.
——The so-called “taking care” meant that he forced me to resign my job, took away my bank card, and dragged me back to a city and a house that were like nightmares.
He was in such a hurry that he hurriedly dragged me away and didn't even bother to take the colorful glass jars on my table. I had to stop taking my medicine.
"I'm sick,Ethan,"I didn't lie to him."That's not a reason for you to leave casually. You're just lying again just to get away from me,"Ethan locked me at home.I knew I couldn't reason with him.His mental state seemed to be worse than mine.
When he was in a good mood,he would embrace me,comb my hair, and buy me a plethora of beautiful hairpins and snacks, just as he used to do when we were in college.

When he was unhappy,he would say all sorts of nonsense to me.He said that I would always belong to him in this life.
"You don't know how your parents died,do you?"he whispered in my ear.
I covered my ears in disgust. He stubbornly pulled my hands away and continued to speak slowly."Your parents died because they tried to harm my parents."
I was shaking all over and slapped him hard."Shut up!Shut up!"He really didn't respect people at all.Whether it was the senior who passed away early or my parents. Why was he so self-righteous?

"I just love you,Ava,"he said as he affectionately hugged my waist.I didn't have any reaction."You don't love me at all.You only love yourself." You’re such a selfish person.
It was truly absurd. I had been so foolish before.I had actually fallen for someone like him.I deeply regretted it.
The old Ethan wasn't like this.He would call me “sister” and tell me that wherever he was, that was home, and that I always had a home.
But he destroyed our home.He always locked me up,didn't give me my phone, and didn't let me go out.
"You'll change your mind,"he said with certainty.But I knew I never would.Because I didn't trust him anymore.I didn't trust anyone.All the people I trusted were dead.
I refused to argue with him. Instead, I would tightly draw the bedroom curtains every day and curl up in the narrow, confined space, feeling like a moldy fungus or a rotten fruit.
Ethan insisted on telling me stories every day or doing something else.He tried to restore our relationship through the beautiful memories we had in the past.
I had been off my medicine for a long time.I always felt that I couldn't hold on any longer.
One day,I found an opportunity.Ethan was negligent and didn't lock the door.I slipped out with my phone. When he called me,I was standing on the overpass.Below was the rushing and cold river.
"Where are you?Ava!Speak!"Ethan called me.I held up my phone, and the wind on the overpass made me feel very cold."I can't go on living,Ethan,"I said truthfully.
