In the evening,when my mother-in-law came back,she seemed to be in a much better mood.
My father-in-law was urging her to cook in the kitchen,but she was tidying up her things on her own."You can cook for yourself from now on."
"What do you mean,you old bitch?"my father-in-law asked.
"I found a job as a live-in nanny through the agency.I might as well serve others and get paid while I'm serving you,"she said.
"Have I ever starved you or left you short of anything to drink all these years?"My father-in-law stood up from the sofa.He clearly couldn't sit still when he heard that my mother-in-law was leaving.
My mother-in-law snorted coldly,"With the little money you give me every day,all I can buy is some vegetables.Have I ever bought myself a new piece of clothing in all these years?Other women have gold jewelry,but do I have any?Living with you,I'm just a free nanny."
"If it weren't for me bringing you out of the countryside,you'd still be farming at home now!"my father-in-law shot back, his voice rising.
"I'd rather be farming than living with you.The life of farming is more comfortable than what I have now!"she retorted.
As she spoke,she had already pulled out a suitcase.She had made up her mind to leave.
"If you dare to leave,don't ever come back!"My father-in-law was furious and tried to threaten my mother-in-law one last time.
But my mother-in-law didn't care at all."I won't come back then.I don't care either."
I came out of my room and tried to persuade them."Mom,Dad,what's going on?Stop arguing.Where are you going so late?"
When my father-in-law saw that my mother-in-law was really going to leave,he was also a bit panicked.He grabbed her suitcase."Dare you try to leave?"

In the afternoon,he was so tired that he fell asleep on the bed directly.
I went into the kitchen and turned on the gas.Soon,there was a smell in the room.
I rushed to knock on his bedroom door."Dad,something's wrong.There's a gas leak.Let's get out quickly!"
My father-in-law didn't even have time to put on his coat and ran outside,panting heavily.
