In the third year of our marriage,my wife, who’d achieved great success with her startup, cheated on me.
When I found out and demanded a divorce, she took me to my parents’house.
She gathered my parents,my younger brother, and my uncle’s family, then calmly announced:

“I cheated.Evan wants a divorce.Talk him out of it!”
I was shocked speechless by her brazen shamelessness.
But the next moment,my shock doubled.

My dad chuckled, looking at my wife,Fiona Hayes.
“No way,Fiona, you’d never cheat. You’re too good for that.”

“Impossible,impossible!”
He turned to me,brow furrowed.
“What’s the matter with you, playing such games as a husband?”
“Apologize to your wife right away,go back home with her,and stop this foolishness!”

My mom and brother chimed in.
“Exactly!Fiona’s definitely not that kind of person. How on earth could you make something like this up?”
“Bro,stop it.Apologize to her.This isn’t a joke!”
I stood there,stunned.
“I’m not joking.This is real.”
“Fiona did cheat.I have chat logs, photos…”
Fiona had left her computer on,still logged into her messaging app.
When I went to shut it down,I saw her chats.
Two guys pinned at the top.
One of them called her“wife,”the other“baby.”
The chats went back six months.
The content was quite explicit, accompanied by numerous scandalous photos.
The most incriminating evidence were the hotel records.
The chats mentioned them—each guy,at least fifteen times.
Saving the evidence,I felt nauseated,my hands shaking with rage.
This was no joke!
I frantically reached for my phone, determined to prove my case.
But my cousin,my uncle’s son,stepped forward.
He grabbed my wrist, and his eyes locked onto mine with an intense gaze.
After a brief pause,he snatched my phone.
“No…no way,you’re lying!”
“Cousin, behave yourself.Don’t act like those macho jerks online!”
My mind filled with question marks.
Fiona was the one who cheated, who betrayed me.
I was just stating facts, trying to show proof.
Why were my family—my own flesh and blood—glaring at me,blaming me,stopping me?
Why?
Before I could ask,Fiona spoke first.
“You don’t need to cover for me.I did cheat.”
“I brought Evan here so you could convince him.”
“He’s dead-set on divorce,but I don’t want it.I still have feelings for him.”
Nausea hit me like a wave.
Forgetting my questions,I exploded.
“Feelings? Don’t make me laugh!”
“Feelings? You started cheating on me six months ago, with two guys at the same time!”
“Feelings?You go around acting like a bride,calling them‘husband’like it’s nothing!”
“Stop pretending to be devoted. You’re just a piece of trash. Don’t you believe in karma? Don’t you worry about getting what you deserve?”
I cursed her out.
But halfway through,my dad stepped forward.
He slapped my shoulder hard.
“Evan White! What’s wrong with you?Watch your mouth!”
“Cursing and wishing harm on others? Where’s your sense of decency? Shut your mouth and step back!”
Roaring,he yanked me behind him.
My mom and brother joined in,trying to restrain me.
Confusion crashed over me.
In a fury,I broke free,glaring at them.
“Have you all gone completely crazy?”
“I’m your son!I’m your family!”
“You’re not supporting me—you’re siding with this garbage!”
“You’re all crazy!”
