"Atty. Nicdao, we want to be part of your party. We believed that the accused must be punished in jail," the four said (Terrence, Kesiah, Dave and Kiarra)
After hearing what these youths uttered, they decided to talk to one another first before accepting what both teams are offering them.
"Young people, please excuse us for a while Atty. Nicdao and I want to talk about something important about the help you offered us," Atty. Galiego said.
"Alright attorney!" The youth answered.
The two lawyers went in the part of the coffee shop where no one can disturb them from talking and decision-making about accepting the youth's offered or not.
"I think those youths can be our assets in solving the crime, what do you think attorney?" Atty. Galiego asked his best friend's opinion.
"They offered help; we didn't ask for help. I think we should accept them. Let see what they can contribute to help us win the case," Atty Nicdao answered.
"But…" he suddenly cut his words and stopped for a while.
"But what?" The lawyer asked but Atty. Nicdao seems that he's not hearing him asking. "Hey!" Atty. Galiego shouted at him. "Is there anything wrong?" He asked him curiously.
"Something came up into my mind. I realized that there are detectives who are assigned to solve the crime and go to the crime scene we can't by pass their duties and responsibilities," Atty. Nicdao answered.
"Ohh no! You're right! But I really believe that they can help us. Still, we need to follow and respect other's job," in the end Atty. Galiego agreed.
Meanwhile, they heard a phone ringing…
It's Atty. Galiego's phone. He gets his phone on his pocket and whispered, "Unregistered number? I think this is an important call."
"Atty. Nicdao, I just have to take this call excuse me for a while," he politely excused himself to take the phone call.
(On the phone)
"Hello? Who's this?"
"Hello? Is this Atty. Galiego? This is from the Police Department. I need to tell you something about our detectives that are assigned to handle the crime scene."
Atty. Galiego let his phone hanging then he went to Atty. Nicdao. "Bro! I think you should hear this. He pressed the loudspeaker button and talked to the person on the other line."
"Yes, Atty. Galiego speaking. What about your police detectives?" He asked.
"Sorry to tell you but we can't send them immediately. The two detectives assigned to solve and go to the crime scene are at the hospital. They met an accident a while ago. Other detectives of our department are on duty. Please wait for two days, we will call again as soon as we find other detectives for you."
"There are seven young detectives here. They offered us help. I think they are enough. Thank you!" Atty. Galiego told the officer.
"Seven detectives? Who are they?" The officer asked him.
"I don't know who are they but sorry to tell you that I can't wait for two more days for your detectives. Please consider the young detectives who offered us help for the case. They didn't finish the degree of being detective but since you told me that you don't have enough detectives to help in the case, I must prefer them to join my team. I hope you understand that I need someone to help me. Thank you!" Atty. Galiego confidently explained the situation.
"If that's what you want attorney! But those young detectives must report in the office. Please send them here for a legal process. We'll wait for you. Thank you!" The officer told him then he ended up the call.
"Come on, Atty Nicdao, join me. Let's talk to the young detectives. We need to tell them to go on a legal process of being detectives. The case is urgent we need detectives with us to help us solve the case," Atty Galiego invited his best friend to help him explain everything to the young detectives.
The two lawyers came back and talk to seven young detectives (Hannah, Adam, Vhiann, Dave, Kesiah, Terrence and Kiarra) They heard how eager to help the young detectives are.
"I hope they will accept us as their young detective. I'll be glad if they will let us help them. I really want to be like my dad," Adam uttered.
"My dad is a prosecutor, I want to be like him too. I'm sure that your dad and my dad will be proud of us if they are here," Hannah said.
"Your dad is a prosecutor? Asked Atty. Nicdao and you handsome, your dad is a lawyer too?" He continued asking.
"Yes!" They both confidently answered.
"That's good to know. The police officer told me on a phone call a while ago that they want to talk you guys! They want you to go in the office to report and go on a legal process," Atty. Galiego explained seriously.
The lawyers accompanied the seven young detectives to the Police Department. The police officer agreed to send the seven but just interns on duty detectives since they don't have enough detectives and they don't have a choice; the case is urgent.
Both parties travelled the opposite paths. They became assets, they helped the lawyers in all possible way they can.
Atty. Galiego's team went to the house of the Jones. They saw house messy and the blood of the victim is still there.
"Look! The blood stains are still there and it looks like footprints, let's follow it's tracks," Vhiann noticed.
"I think she's right! Maybe we can get the evidence there," answered Atty. Galiego.
Atty. Galiego and Vhiann followed the track while Hannah and Adam go straight to the living room.
The track goes upstairs, they stopped where the last track points them. It's the couple's bedroom. When they opened the door and entered the room, it looks fine and clean. But still, they looked around and find something.
While they are searching in the bed room, Hannah and Adam sat on the sofa in the living room.
Accidentally, Hannah was stabbed by a sharp object, and it bleeds.
"Adam look! There's something in here, it is sharp and I was stabbed," said Hannah.
"Wait, it's bleeding babe, he holds Hannah's arm. Let us first clean it," Adam uttered. "Please stand and stay away from that sofa," he added.
"No, I'm fine. Let's find that sharp object first maybe it has something to do with the crime scene," explained Hannah then she stands.
Adam saw a sharp metal and he pulled it. "It's a knife babe, look! It's good that we have gloves wearing so that the fingerprints here must be detected when we surrendered this in the office. Let's place the knife in a plastic with zip lock," said Adam.
"I think we should go straight to that part;" he pointed his finger in the kitchen.
