EMBER'S POV

He put a paper bag over my head, and the more I struggled against him, the more it felt as though my air was being cut off. So I had to stop struggling,

"you and me? We're going to have a whole lot of fun together, baby." the man said to me, and his voice gave me a chill. I mean, I knew that voice. It was one I heard before. I just could not remember where.

"Yes, just come with me, slowly. It's better to go the easy way because the hard way would be so painful. And the truth is, either way? I've got you. I've got you." he said, as he slowly led me in the other direction I had been walking in. back to my pack land.

What were the odds that my father or Axel would see us just then?

But even while I considered it, I knew it was impossible, because I had left the house right after everyone had retired. I didn't think there would be any outside to see this son of a gun trying to kidnap.

My mind raced with what my next move would be. And it had to be to get that paper bag off my face. I brought my hand to my face to try to rip off the paper bag, but felt a sharp object on my hand,

"you make one more move, and you just might lose that hand of yours." he threatened and I slowly put down my hand. He was holding a knife, and I was sure that he was mad enough to actually use it.

"I can't breathe properly!" I yelled and he let out a mirthless laugh,

"Then I better fix that for ya, eh?" he said, and released the grip he had on the paper bag so that a bit of air was coming from below.

I couldn't think of a proper escape if he had that knife pointed at me while I could not see. So, I was stuck with simply having to go where he was leading. And perhaps, hopefully, wherever he took me, if he was a bit unsuspecting, I would be able to escape.

I sighed and kept walking until we passed through my pack land which led me to the unknown.

We walked for nearly an hour before he finally took off the damned paper bag,

"might as well know who Is about to mess up your life, b*tch." he spat, and I waited for my eyes to focus before the image of the man in front of me became clear and I was in utter shock to see the man who was Kate's uncle. Sebastian's father.

"you?!" I questioned, my surprise shining through, and he laughed like a maniac,

"Yes, me! Surprise surprise!" he yelled, and he looked crazy. He definitely was crazy, because why else were we both in this situation,

"What the hell is the meaning of all this?" I asked angrily. I wanted an explanation, to know if Kate put him up to all this before I worked on my frigging escape,

"What does it look like, Sugar? This is your kidnap!" he yelled and I pressed both my lips together, trying to gauge the situation. I could have simply kicked him in his manhood, and maybe then I could have had a good shot at getting away from him, but there was more. I needed to know more,

"why?"

"Why?" he questioned, and actually looked pissed, "because you ruined my life! You ruined the lives of my sons! That's more than enough reason to want to make your life a living hell as well! And I'm going to do it, you can be sure of that."

"so… Kate didn't put you up to this, then?"

"Kate?" he asked, and sneered, "that little girl has her time ticking." he said and then looked at me intently, then pointed a finger at me and laughed, "But that's none of your business!" he howled and got all serious again, "alright then. Let's get back to work."

He said and tried to grab my hair, and seeing it as my only shot, I kicked him in his manhood, and he buckled in pain,

"Yeah, I'm not really up for being kidnapped," I said and punched him in the face so that he doubled over and fell on the ground. Then I looked around me and felt frustrated. I had no sense of direction and was beginning to panic.

So taking one big whiff at the air, I ran in the direction where both our scents were strongest, hoping this man had not simply walked around in circles before bringing us to this point.

Several minutes into running, I had to stop and look around the unknown area I was, while panting hard. I wasn't sure where I was going, but I had to find my way home. It was dark and cold, and I had all that adrenaline coursing through me.

I was about to start running again when I felt a hand wrap around my middle, and a cloth over my nose.

"Let me go!" I tried to scream, but my mouth was covered, and as I struggled against the deranged man, I broke out in sweat, and slowly lost my balance. I suppose the clothes he had on my mouth and nose were drugged, because I slowly, and surely became unconscious.

I woke up in a barely lit room, feeling groggy, and all of my body ached.

"What the hell?" I said, through a cracked throat, and tried to sit up, but my strength could not carry me, so I laid back down in confusion, as I tried to remember what had happened, and why the hell I had not woken up in my room.

I closed my eyes as it all slowly came back to me. Running, I had been running, with someone chasing me. But who? I wondered, and trying to think so hard, gave me a headache. Then I remembered. It was Kate's uncle. The bloody psychopath.

I groaned in anger and discomfort and opened my eyes when I heard footsteps and turned to look at the man walking close to me,

"Rise and shine, sleeping beauty." he said, smiling at me like a maniac, "you almost got away from me. I admit, you have one gruesome punch." he said and rubbed at his nose, and then shrugged, "but if I have to be honest… I like a strong contender."

"go to hell." I spat out weakly,

"oh, I've been to hell, and now I'm back. But as for you? You're just getting here. Why do you think you've woken up feeling so weak?" he asked and raised a brow, "there is wolfsbane being pumped through the vents, baby girl. So you're only going to get weaker and weaker. Just the way I need you to be. I know how strong you are. Everyone else might underestimate you, but I won't be that naive. So… I'll be patient." he said and ran a hand down my cheek, and angrily turned my face away,

"feisty." he said with some glee, "anyway, I'll be on my way now. Can't be weakened by the wolfsbane," he said and prepared to leave,

"damn you!" I screamed at the top of my lungs and he laughed,

"Whatever sweet cheeks," he called back laughing, as he walked away.
