"Kara, are you really this greedy? Am I not enough for you?"
"Wait, what?" I stared at him, bewildered.
"I only have one Henry, okay? And he's just a fake boyfriend. What does any of this have to do with you?"
Danny gripped my shoulders, incredulous. "You told me you liked me, and I agreed to be with you. What game are you playing now?"
I gaped at him. "You can eat whatever you want, but you can't just say whatever crazy thing pops into your head!"
Danny leaned in, his teeth clenched. "Then let me remind you how you treated me that night."
He pinned me against the wall, taking my hand and sliding it under his black t-shirt.
His abs were rock-hard, and my fingers trembled as they traced the ridges of muscle.
Danny Lawrence's cool lips brushed my earlobe. "Remember now, KaraLawrence?"
"Holy shit!" I shoved him back.
"I'm your sister, dude!" This family tree was getting seriously twisted.
He moved in again, his large hand gripping my waist, his touch burning through my clothes.
"Not blood-related, not even cousins," he murmured against my ear. "You know that... sister..."
I was losing my mind. I tried to scream, to run, but Danny Lawrence's leg wedged between my thighs, trapping me.
God, he wasn't planning to take this further right here, was he?
"No, listen, I seriously don't remember doing anything! I've always treated you like a servant. Can't we just keep our normal master-servant relationship?"
Danny nuzzled my neck like a touch-starved animal.
At my words, he paused, then pulled a tie from his pocket. "Master-servant?" he breathed heavily. "I can work with that."
Oh no... had he misunderstood?
I steeled myself and blurted out: "Danny Lawrence, whatever you think is happening, I need to be clear—I don't like your type!"
My mother never liked school bullies.
Neither do I.
Danny Lawrence froze.
He looked dazed, as if wondering whether he'd had too much to drink and misheard me.
"What?"
"Really."
"I only see you as a brother."
